I now have a deep need for the Salamanders all tripping over themselves to spend time with their "mom" Cause they're all just a bunch of big teenagers who really need to be given a mom hug.

They all just are eagerly waiting around for whenever you get lost in the Flamewrought in order to help you, or show off how stronk they are during a sparring match. They also probably forge a ton of gifts in honor of a new 'family' member.

One of Vulkan's captains makes a sword, but greatly overestimated a normal human woman's strength (can you really blame him given context), and the minute you try to lift it, the end plummets to the ground with a CLANK.

I also fully imagine that once Vulkan officially introduces you as his beloved and by extension their future Legion Mother, they instantly begin to divert queries to you that would at one point have gone to Vulkan or another superior. The first time it happened you had a 8 foot tall Salamander asking you some logistical question and you just stood there nearly have a meltdown until Vulkan saved your ass.

You're still learning, Vulkan says and the Salamander apologizes with a smile. Vulkan kind of realizes that he threw you a bit head first into all of this, but at least his sons are a bit accommodating.

I also imagine that over time they just enjoy having a chat with you. Having you to speak with is the closest a Space Marine will ever come to something that could maybe be considered therapy. You offer the best advice you possibly can, and they just like the different energy.

It's all cute. Until you need to go somewhere and you have like seven Salamanders all pointing meltas at anyone within 5 meters.
