Going back to old writing is either just like:

1. “Who wrote this masterpiece?! It was ME?!”

2. “Who wrote this absolute shit? Oh fuck my life, that was me, wasn’t it?”

subscribing to a fic isn’t enough I need the author to blast a bat signal into the night sky whenever they update

I really need to actually start routinely writing again at some point, but I’m now in the headspace where, now that I’ve put the routine down, I can no longer pick it back up

What people expect when I say I’m a writer: writing a whole novel

What I actually do: get into a fandom or come up with an original idea, go to sleep every night thinking of the story, make imaginary scenarios and Pinterest boards, make Spotify playlists, and finally sit down to write it out 2 months later only to get another idea and abandon the story. Repeat the cycle.
