There is not a single game on planet earth worth 70 dollars
posted this on bluesky but it's goin on here too
an unfortunate and very contemporary phenomenon is that of the transmasc content creator, often a vtuber, forced to compromise with a tepid "any/all pronouns" or remove any mention of it whatsoever, to see regular success without being bogged down by people unwilling to learn.
while it's true that transfems experience the same sort of constant assault on identity, the transmasc experience is unique in that there is a fundamental dismissal of it in the minds of bigots. the idea that because they were born one way, they cannot be a threat, only misled. bigots (and most well-meaning people honestly) regularly just ignore them before they think to destroy them.
to appease the algorithm, and to maintain viewership, the quiet redaction of pronouns from public profiles, and the acceptance of androgyny as to keep anyone who "isnt comfy" using your preferred ones placated enough to watch ad breaks so you can pay your electric bill this month, is often obligate.
Playing with them around like dolls
sometimes i see cis people say "trans people will understand if you misgender them at first. i call my nephew 'her' all the time and he knows i don't mean it" no he doesnt. he probably never hangs out with you for more than ten minutes because that's how long you can last in a conversation before making him feel like shit. also he thinks you're, best case scenario, stupid for not being able to figure it out, or worst case scenario, uncaring about him and his needs. he doesn't like spending time with you. you're deluding yourself into thinking you're far kinder than you are. you're weird man.
Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
The problem with “senseless violence” narrative around the UnitedHealthcare CEO is that it ignores the inherent violence of the insurance industry. Denying someone lifesaving care is violence. Subjecting someone to drawn out periods of pain before treatment is violent. The industry is made up of millions of acts of violence everyday, with the CEO at the helm guiding it all. This is not unprovoked and it’s not an overreaction; it is just harder to ignore
I'm only about halfway though season 2 of Breaking Bad but I love how so far, the show can be summed up as such:
Walter: Jesse, we need to do The Thing, Jesse
Jesse: Yo, mista White, we can't do The Thing, yo. The streets have their own rules, man. You can't fuck around like that or else you get fucked over like a bitch, real.
Walter: You're a stupid junkie and you're stupid. I Am Right and we will do it my way and we will not get fucked over like bitches because unlike you, I am not stupid
*they both proceed to get fucked over like bitches because Walter ignored all of Jesse's warnings about not doing The Thing*
Walter: Jesse, you stupid idiot meth head! You're stupid! This is your fault!!
