LEWIS HAMILTON | P1 - British GP 2024
F1 DRIVERS x TENNIS
Mika Häkkinen, Michael Schumacher, Stefan Johansson, Riccardo Patrese, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna.
incredibly happy for ralf schumacher feeling comfortable enough to come out & obviously incredibly important for the sport but let‘s not forget who was there before him.
mike beuttler, who never felt comfortable enough to come out & lella lombardi, who not only made history by being the only woman to ever get points in f1 but also being openly gay.
Brad Pitt's new movie released it's first poster!!!!Wow! So cool!!! Anyway reminder that Brad Pitt physically assaulted Angelina Jolie and his kids on a plane (deliberately so that they had nowhere to run) he choked multiple of his children when they tried to defend their mother and spent the next few hours emptying the planes bottles of beer and red wine on their fucking heads. His kids are literally filing to have his last name dropped before they even turn 18.
Also reminder that Brad Pitt, who both stars in and is producing the film, is banking on YOU as a motorsport fan to be a built-in audience for this project. Don't do it. Seeing a cameo of the drivers for a few seconds is not worth the moral forfeit of giving this literal monster your money and support.
i read three posts consecutively about 'max saying if he made ii into f1, Charles would too' and 'ayrton saying alain should not retire, he cant stop and they both are leagues above others' and 'Nico saying in my heart he is still my best friend'
I'm going to bawl. two of the three are tragedies. The very first one didnt let the bitterness of the world get to them when there was every reason to.
queen shit
©️ susie_wolff 10 years ago with @/williamsracing at the @/f1 British GP.. seems like another lifetime but I do have very vivid memories of the day.
Toto's parting words on arriving at the circuit - in his true direct Austrian style "Susie- don't be shit". He knew, just like I did, that 1 had to perform. That 1 had to deliver.
It was cut short 4 laps in by an engine failure. Huge disappointment after so much preparation and so much anticipation.
But after every disappointment and every failure, the true strength comes in picking yourself back up and coming back even stronger.
Just two weeks later I had another chance at the German GP in Hockenheim, finishing just 0.227s behind my team mate Felipe Massa.
So now, when people ask me, can women race in F1? I don't think they can. I know they can.
It's time for the next generation to progress and shine. With @/f1academy - we want to be the rocket fuel to progression in the sport both on and off track. To inspire and empower.
It's definitely not just a man's world anymore.
Me if having crush on old drivers was an achievement
