So I’ve been having a hard time with motivation to draw and the only thing that has helped so far is drawing this dude. So I have a Lot of stuff about him. I’m just going to start with my least favorite sketches and move to my favorite ones.

2nd and 3rd time I ever attempted drawing him. As you can see I am not used to drawing robots. I have the first but it was too painful to post because of how bad it is lmao

Hello everyone! I have unfortunately not been in a drawing mood lately, but I have been in a writing mood! So if anyone has anything they want me to write about the Elemental Fighters AU or anything, feel free to send me an ask!

So what else is going on during the Elemental Fighters AU?

Hi anon! Just wanted to say that my day has been going absolutely horrible and this ask cheered me up, so thanks for that!

Honestly, this AU kind of just started out as a joke, so I don’t have many actual plot points, but I’m more than happy to talk about what I have currently!

Okay so I already mentioned to @prime-pulse that I think it would be really funny if when they’re all dropping out of the plane onto the island to hunt Nya, Chen didn’t add any extra parachutes for Clouse. So when it gets down to the last parachute, the only ones left without on are Clouse, Garmadon, and Lloyd. Naturally, it turns into a free for all. Garmadon is fighting Lloyd to get him to take the parachute, Lloyd is fighting Garmadon to take the parachute, Clouse is fighting both of them for the parachute, etc.

I want to have lots of Garmadad and Garmason angst with them now being pitted against each other and Garmadon dealing with this new chaotic power that encourages him to fight and get involved in conflict when he really doesn’t want to fight anymore, but so far most of the AU is just season 4 except Garmadon and Clouse are duking it out in the background the whole time (well more than usual for that season anyway).

One thing Leaf and I wanted to make a comic about is Clouse (unknowingly) being the buffer between Garmadon and Lloyd being pitted against each other because every time Chen turns his back, Clouse is rearranging the fights so that he and Garmadon are opponents. Chen probably noticed after like the 10th time and is just like…. Well I wanted drama and to create strain in the father-son relationship, but this is so much better

Hmmmm another thing I want to be apart of it is maybe some Clouse angst? Like towards the season finale (this is @prime-pulse’s idea btw) Chen kind of lumps Clouse in with the other elemental masters and betrays him (cue Garmadon dragging Clouse kicking and screaming into a redemption arc and by redemption arc I mean becoming the weird uncle who only appears during family reunions and reads in the corner the whole time)

I would also want to explore Clouse vs. Garmadon fighting styles. Garmadon practices the art of the silent fist, but Clouse is freakishly fast and strong, not to mention his dark magic. Add in the fact that Garmadon’s powers feed on conflict and hatred and he could potentially exhaust himself quicker while refusing to fight because of that, etc, etc.

Honestly at this point I’m just throwing everything at the wall and I don’t really have a plot. I would absolutely love to finesse the story and possibly make an Elemental Fighters AU ask blog, but right now motivation has been in low supply and I got kneecapped by a new fandom, so I hesitate to do that in fear of creating an ask blog, posting 1 or 2 things and then just vanishing. But feel free to send in asks because I still have a lot of Thoughts about this AU and I would love to share!

(Oh and I should add that when Leaf and I first thought of this it was seriously just Garmadon and Clouse throwing hands every ten seconds, but then @keliharuza opened my eyes to the Garmafam angst! Thank you, it’s really helped the AU grow)

Please imagine the "Only One Can Remain" scene in the elemental fighters au where Chen is like. "Only one can remain, and that one is ME!!" Except since Clouse is with the fighters he’s sort of "given up" his position by Chen's side in Chen's mind, since now he’s apart of the Tournament & no longer his right hand guy. If that makes sense . Either way could lead to Clouse blaming Garmadon & still being banished or him begrudgingly teaming up w/ the ninja !! yk !

OOOOOH! I HADN’T THOUGHT OF THAT! Clouse would probably feel at least a little bit betrayed, because y’know he asked Chen for permission to join the tournament, so he might think that he and Chen were still on the same side! And as for him blaming Garmadon or joining the ninja, why not both? Blaming Garmadon and them getting into a fight, but Garm forcing him to realize that he has no choice other than to join the ninja!

So @leafdragon16 and I have been developing an AU that we like to call the Elemental Fighters AU, where basically Sensei Garmadon ends up joining the Tournament of Elements as the Elemental Master of Destruction and because Clouse has decided that Sensei G is Not Allowed To Have Nice Things, he persuades Chen to let him join the Tournament as well to counter Garmadon (and lots of shenanigans ensue. So here’s Garmadon’s gi designs for the Tournament, there’s 3 with and without mask variations. I wanted to give him one but got attached to all the designs so I decided “hey, why not have all 3?”

Leaf and I will probably make more about this, so keep an eye out for it in the future! (If you’re interested of course, no pressure :) )

“UNHAND ME! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!” The Goon wailed, trying to fight back against the constricting conjured anacondrai mini-serpents.

“Good, I was just thinking I’d have to chase them at full speed. Master Chen and his pup should catch up shortly.” Mystaké hummed, making Clouse jump and whip around to see her. He then blinked.

“I didn’t realize you were here.” Her murmured, using his free hand to wipe at the claw marks on his face.

“You were busy bickering with our gooey little lord here. Saw through the window.” She hummed, walking over to the goon, who continued to struggle.

“Ohhh, ohh my poor little warrior…” The Overlord continued to mumble, staying in a puddle as they watched.

Sketches from Hiatus Part 3

Alternatively titled: I Draw The Oni Warlords Too Much

Okay! Final part! Now this is the post that has more gore/blood stuff, but all of that will be under the cut.

I designed younger versions of all three warlords (and that will be plot relevant… soon?? Maybe??) Ha’eed’s design was made a lot sooner than the other two, but that version has a little bit of blood and so the first mini version of Ha’eed will be under the cut. The other two drawings under that are just what-if-Decer-and-Ha’eed-met-before-they-were-adults sketches, and the final one is Ha’eed creating his mask (he’s a teen in that one tho). And the last one is just more practice with drawing the mask of Hatred, and drawing it contorting to match Ha’eed’s facial expressions

There is blood in the drawings below this, and gore! The least bad stuff will be at the top, and since most of it is just blood there will an additional warning before the gore! (Now I’m not saying I’m good at drawing either blood or gore, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be disturbing to at least some people, and I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable here :D)

This was just a page full of Ha’eed drawings, and the first time I designed young Ha’eed. Just another warning, young Ha’eed gets beat up like,,,, a lot. Also includes Ha’eed waking up from a nightmare about his past

This is just what probably would happen at the end of the Oni Warlords blog if it lead to canon. Don’t worry this (probably) won’t happen. Leaf isn’t that evil (unless she is)

Now we get to the gore related stuff. There’s only two drawings, and like I said before, I’m not fantastic at drawing gore, but here’s a warning just in case. It has to do with Emperor Garm and his chest wound, so expect organ related stuff

I drew this because he does not sound like he’s doing too great when he first appears, which you can’t really blame him for because of the big ass hole in his chest

Just a kinda gross joke I came up with that sometimes his internals just,,, don’t stay where they’re supposed to. He is used to it by now

So I lied in the title, these are from my whole sketchbook not just from hiatus, so some of the sketches will be kinda old

This is one of the very first Oni Warlords related things I drew, and it was practice for the Oni masks making different expressions

This one is from the first time it was mentioned that the SLG Overlord WILL bite/eat Clouse’s spellbook. Why? Nobody knows (yet)

...I’ve just had a bit of an idea running around my head ever since we found out about Clouse’s sleeping issues

If one of the kiddos got up due to a nightmare or sleeping issues and Clouse found them since he was still up would he talk to them at all

Oh my god absolutely yes. I need to write a drabble  about this when skylor was younger it’s 2 am and this is going to be unedited so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors I’m so filled with love for this idea.

The ticking of the clock was something Clouse had grown accustomed to in the otherwise still silence of the night. The creaking of the walls as the monastery shifted, wind whispering just outside the window, the nearly silent beating of bats’ wings in the nearby trees.

Clouse stood in one of the halls with a warm cup of tea in his hands, keeping his otherwise frigidly cold hands warm. He was staring out the window, occasionally glancing down both sides of the hallway when taking sips from his cup. The tea was poorly seeped, having sat in the overheated water for longer than intended, but it was enough to keep himself grounded after yet another two hours of relatively restless sleep.

He stayed in silence for what felt like eternity, boredom encompassing him despite his best efforts to think of things that were even remotely interesting. He thought about returning to the kitchen, or what Master Chen called a kitchen— being more a shottily built brick oven, questionably plumbed sink, cabinets and a pantry— and cleaning up the mess from Garmadon’s attempt at making dinner. After deciding that was better than standing around and not being productive, Clouse pushed himself off the wall and began to quietly walk the halls toward the kitchen.

While walking, Clouse heard something that was not of the usual nightly ambiance. He heard... Whimpering, what maybe even pass as quiet sobs, coming from his Master’s daughter’s room. He halted just after passing the door, slowly turning his head and pausing for a moment to register the sound.  He had to admit, it pulled at his heart, if only the smallest amount. He stood still for another moment before hearing another series of sniffling from the room, shaking his head and quietly stepping toward the door, knocking as quietly as he could in hopes Skylor may hear.

There was a pause, before a quiet voice spoke up from within, “... Fafa?” The name usually reserved for Chen, who had insisted his young daughter call him ‘father’, and of course, at the time of Skylor just beginning to speak, she could not pronounce that many syllables.

“... No. Clouse.” He answered after a moment, clenching his jaw for a moment when silence crept back up on him. Maybe he should have woken Master Chen to deal with this, maybe she didn’t want someone who wasn’t even her family to come to her aid, maybe—

The door creaked open, making Clouse take a step back and look down toward the young girl. She held a strong face, but it was obvious she had been crying. Her room was a mess, obvious her power had gotten out of hand on account of the only element she had absorbed being Garmadon’s. Her blanket was in tatters, many of her hand sewn dolls halfway turned to ash, and her lamp broken on the ground. Clouse looked visibly panicked for a moment after seeing the sharp glass all over her floor, but quickly attempted to regain his composure. He swallowed and moved to put his cup down on the dresser just inside Skylor’s room, then kneeling down to get eye-level with her.

“What happened here?” He managed to ask after a moment, Skylor curling in on herself ever so slightly as if she were in trouble. Clouse paused before shaking his head, cautiously moving to put a hand on her shoulder. “You aren’t in trouble,” He carefully chose his words, “I just... Want to know what happened. I won’t tell your father if you don’t want me to.”

Skylor seemed to think for a moment, clenching and unclenching her tiny fists as she looked toward the floor. After a beat, she began to speak, almost like she was admitting to something she’d done wrong. “I had... A dream. That these mean... Monsters, in all black with these... These big white eyes, tried to hurt Fafa— and, and Lloyd, and— Uncle Gar, Aunt Ako, and— And you, and— I couldn’t stop them, I couldn’t—” She began to work herself up again, her face becoming flushed with fear and anger, tears brimming in her eyes, “I couldn’t do anything about it! I was—I couldn’t,” She sobbed, immediately reaching forward in an attempt to hug Clouse for comfort— Something he allowed, but was taken aback by.

It took him a moment to reciprocate the hug, looking dazed as if he was having trouble processing this information. He stayed silent for a moment as he pat the girl’s back, like he had seen Garmadon or Misako do with Lloyd whenever the toddler got upset about something. “... Well, those ‘mean monsters’, you called them,” Clouse said after a moment, tentatively picking up Skylor in his arms as he stood, “They can’t hurt you, or us. Your father would never let that happen. Your... Uncle, Garmadon, would see them turned to ash where they stood!” Clouse said matter-of-factly, then grimacing a bit to himself as he saw Skylor shrink back into herself again.

“But— But... That doesn’t mean it isn’t okay to be fearful about it happening. Nothing will ever come to harm us, nor you. You know that little slime ball you’ve acquainted yourself with would never let that happen.” Clouse offered a nod and the most reassuring look he could, Skylor sniffing and rubbing her nose on her sleeve as she nodded in understanding, despite his name-calling of The Overlord. “... Promise? You won’t let any monsters take you all away?” She looked up at him with questioning eyes, Clouse looking back at her before he tried to offer a reassuring smile. “I promise. Now, let’s try and get this room cleaned up before your father wakes up. Do you want to play ‘magic’?” Clouse hummed, resituating Skylor in his arms. Her eyes widened before she grinned and nodded, Clouse raising his free hand as a dark purple aura began to form within his palm. The broken lamp slowly began to piece itself back together on her bedside table, the pieces dancing in a line as they did so. They twirled and flipped back into place, Skylor giggling and singing an incomprehensible tune to herself quietly, Clouse tapping his foot along to the strange and random beat best he could.

Soon, the room was relatively back to normal— the ash being cleaned and Skylor being supplied with a new blanket. Clouse sat next to her bed as Skylor got resituated under the sheets, then giving him a bright smile as she got comfortable again— him giving her a small and polite smile back.

After tucking her in properly and turning out the candles, Clouse began to leave the room, stopped briefly by Skylor’s goodbye;

“Goodnight, Uncle Clouse!” She whisper-yelled to him, nearly stopping him in his tracks completely.

After a pause, Clouse replied, “Goodnight, Skylor.”

He shut the door behind him with a smile on his face.
