Switching my language from “Israel is detaining Palestinians in the West Bank” to “Israel is abducting Palestinians in the West Bank” because that’s actually what’s happening. They are not detainees. They are hostages. Innocent Palestinians get taken from their homes randomly, held up in detention centers indefinitely, and subjected to the cruelest conditions on no basis other than “you might do something bad in the future, so we have a right to imprison you.” This is what Israel calls administrative detention—and through it they have managed to get away with kidnapping hundreds of innocent Palestinians.

The war is growing more brutal by the day, The planes are raining down shells, burning, killing without mercy. Today, the Israeli army ordered us to evacuate our area immediately amid heavy bombing. Since this morning until now, they have killed 70 people, and my family and I barely survived. 💔

Most families have been displaced, but we do not have the money to escape to safer areas. The cost of transportation and displacement is extremely high, while what little we manage to gather is barely enough to keep us from starving amidst the siege, border closures, and insane price hikes. 😓

My husband has become a prisoner of the Israeli occupation😭😭

After we were besieged in Rafah for more than four days, the tent was demolished over my heads, my children, and my husband, and we were able to miraculously escape. For those whose story of escape was not complete, because they were able to capture my husband and he is now their prisoner after he was injured in his feet from the bombing. My child was also exposed to danger and underwent a difficult surgical operation that failed. My family is now without a father, without a breadwinner for us, in light of this war and this catastrophic famine. The suffering continues as thousands of displaced people from northern Gaza set up tents along roads and streets after losing their homes.

They were bombed out of displacement shelters and are now left with nothing but fabric tents, without food, water, or any basic essentials.
