What NOT to ask the Tarot.
This glitter pen is so smooth!
lost in the moss
There are dozens of trails along the lake, and for all intents and purposes, you could have easily chosen a popular one. Instead, you just had to select the oldest trail in the entire park with only a thin strip of dirt signifying the path. You found it by accident, looking over a decades-old map in the parkās museum, quickly deciding to give it a try. After all, you know the other trails well enough to walk them blindfolded, might as well give something new a go. The sun is high in the sky as you find the entrance, tucked in between cypress trees, utterly invisible to anyone who wouldnāt know to look for it. The humidity is a little extra thick today, though since itās still early spring, it doesnāt come with the smothering heat that chokes your throat with every breath.
You are slathered in a shiny layer of bug spray and armed with a walking stick to test out any suspicious looking ground. This may be a large tourist location with plenty of good walking trails, but it still is a wetland and needs not to be underestimated. The sounds of cicadas roar dully in your ears as you begin to walk down the sliver of dirt, the vegetation steadily growing thicker the deeper you wander. Though the dirt path is several paces away from the water, you keep a sharp eye out for any gators who might want to make you their midmorning snack. The unmistakable smell of the swamp fills your lungs, a scent of mud and green and sickly sweet rot.
It must have only been twenty minutes into the walk when you hear it. Itās a melody that halts your body like a spell, a voice so inhumanely flawless it brings tears to your eyes, coming from the water. Fear and adrenaline fail to develop, and so you feel nothing but calm as you turn to face the source of the song. The words are ancient, their power resonating into your very bones, tangled with desperation and promise. A man, half inside the water, back and head covered in the green moss that clings against the rocks and trees holds out his hand to you, mouth quirked into a lusty half smile. His eyes shimmer different colors like opals, shifting from green to blue to violet by the slightest twist of your neck.

This. Scene. Right. Here.
This scene is so underrated. Weāve just met Jaskier in this episode, but within minutes we find out that this bard is confident and well educated. As he and Geralt are trekking through the land looking for the Devil of Posada, we hear Jaskier say a line thatās seemingly unimportant, just more of his ramblings. He says āThe elves called this Dol Blathanna before bequeathing it to the humans and retreating to their golden palaces in the mountains. There I go again, justā¦delivering exposition.ā This is information that he prides himself in knowing, most likely taught to him during his time in Oxenfurt. He can even speak Elder, not a common trait for humans. Oxenfurt taught him their language, but the information they gave him is wrong. Itās the teaching of humans, not the truth.Ā The scene above is the exact moment that Jaskier realizes everything he knew about the elves was wrong. Filavandrel tells Jaskier and Geralt that they were forced from their homes and starving, forced to ask a sylvan to steal for them for survival. Jaskier learns that it was humans that forced the elves into unlivable conditions. Everything was stolen from them, their land, their magic, their lives.Ā
And I think this was the exact moment that Jaskier chose to follow Geralt. Not because of the stories he would learn and could sing, not because Geralt was good for exposure and protection, but because Jaskier had just learned that elves, witchers, and creatures alike were never the real monsters.Ā
Humans were the real monsters all along.Ā
And if what humans said made people like Geralt a monster, he would rather choose to follow a monster Every. Single. Time.Ā
Bro (talking about a girl heās interested in): Sheās pretty cool. But kinda intimidating. She hatesāwell she doesnāt hate men but she hates theā¦man thing. Me:Ā ā¦penis?

Ā My sigils are basically just a variant of the Witchās Sigil Wheel. Iāve just added my own flare to it. If you donāt know what that is, itās this thing, you kind find pictures of it on google pretty easy.
The first thing youāre gonna want to do is come up with your phrase. This will set the sigils intention. Weāre gonna use the phraseĀ āThe Earth keeps me safeā for this example. Once youāve got that figured out, pick out the words that are most important to you. Weāre going to useĀ āEarthā andĀ āSafeā as our keywords.
(note: traditionally letters that are doubled are taken out, and only single appearing letters make the points.)
Next thing youāre gonna do, is draw lines from one letter to the next. Youāll be making separate lines for each word. Feel free to curve some of these lines, but i think it looks like a mountain or a crystal so weāre gonna keep it c:
And then the next word.
This is really starting to look like a crystal in my eyes! Now itās time to add some flare. One thing I like to do is add circles around letters that have multiple points on them. And I add crossing lines to any other line that doesnāt have an angle or connection.
To really long lines, I like to add another line parallel to it.
The last part, make it personal! Add some sort of your own flare to it.
I played around with the crystal idea that I was getting, and added things to make it look sparkling and an arrow in the middle to represent protection.Ā
Lastly I like to keep my sigils in circles, but feel free to skip this step and call it done! Hereās what I came up with!
If you make one, please reblog with a picture! Iād love to see ^u^ Hopefully this helps.
