Swallowing my anxiety and finally participating in the Calgary Expo Cosplay contest as this gamer bot. Not expecting to win anything as there as SOOOO many amazing cosplayers every year. My goal is to solely survive the stage fright and prevent myself from doing or saying something embarrassing-

Idk why Kaycee would ever do this, as from what I gathered she likes Leshy's version of the game best (i think?), but I wanted to draw grandpa's death card, and I felt likw her hand would look good holding it.

Today marks the one year anniversary that I started planning this crazy Cosplay, might as well share the journey here

After the wild ride that was the game Inscryption, the brain worms took over thinking how could I make a Cosplay with a working screen for a face, no legs, and a crank for a left arm..

Luckily I work in a warehouse and cardboard is of no short supply to mock up potential cosplays, it did help that P03 is very boxy to begin with.

The face and animated light skirt were a whole other nightmare as I've never done anything like it before. I used an old iPad for the face and recreated almost all of P03's facial expressions as loaded gifs. For the led skirt, I used an arduino uno and followed a few tutorial online on how to colour and animate them.

I’m back from visiting my family for the holidays, so that means I’m also back on drawing inscryption bullshittery!

it turns out Magnificus being half as tall as the other scrybes isnt exclusive to his act 2 sprite. his 3d model is significantly shorter than Leshy and Grimora! which isnt readily apparent if you're playing without mods since you need the freecam to really see it. but look at this:

he is levitating.

not only that, but Grimora is clipped through the floor so she appears even shorter:

isnt it wonderful?

this doesnt even take into consideration how big Leshy truly is if he had a fully rendered body proportionate to the size of his head, which is otherwise positioned closer to the heights of the other scrybes
