daisies ✿

a fanfiction about my otp, chuck behler x jeff young from megadeth. both of them are kemonomimis, jeff being a deer and chuck being a saint bernard. both of them use she/him, they will occasionally swtich. i'm gonna kill you charlie.

recently, jeff had moved out of the studio. everyday, he would receive gifts on his doorstep, no matter what it was, there was always a white, wilted daisy that was ripped out from the ground, some dirt on the stem. he was so puzzled by it, he couldn't go on without knowing who was throwing some flowers at his door.

one morning, she would stand right behind his door around the time the flowers were dropped off. once she heard some scampering, she would immediately open the door, just to see a blur dashing away. "hey- HEY! COME BACK!" she blurted out before he would hop over the gifts left over his porch. she would then skedaddle on his small deer hooves in attempt to catch the culprit, ending up failing.

the next morning, jeff couldn't bear the fact he had some.. weirdo admirer or something. after some thinking, he would leave his house before walking over to the old studio. maybe it was dave or junior playing some assholeish prank on him. there was only one way to find out.

once jeff arrived, she banged on the door, "open up dave, you jackass!" he said, seemingly pissed off as she placed his hands on her hips. after a few minutes, her eyebrows would furrow. she was extremely impatient. she would then walk around the house before jumping the fence, falling on the ground with an 'oof,' her hooves clumsily bucking in response.

once jeff looked up, he would notice a familiar back towards him, digging around in the dirt. his eyes would widen slightly as he would dust himself off, standing up straight before creeping up behind the figure. he found himself staring down at .. chuck? the bernard's tail was wagging behind him as he dug around the dirt, pulling out a white daisy with his teeth.

when chuck turned around, he would immediately glance at jeff, his face flushing. "oh, uh, hey dude.." "it was YOU?" jeff shot back, her face filled with disbelief. chuck would giggle sheepishly, slowly spitting the flower out into his paw. "i'm surprised you didn't find out sooner." chuck said with slight amusement before she would glance up at jeff, slowly reaching up and placing the daisy behind jeff's antler.

"i hope you like flowers," chuck whispered before placing a small peck on jeff's jawline.
