Skylar loves the crushing guilt that comes from being a worthless, selfish child. It longs for repentance in the form of destruction, to shield the reality that it is unwanted. Its desire falls on deaf ears, but it loves that too. That is the cost of being known, entirely. To abandon reality is the only reason it continues on.
