Yesterday (March 23rd) was Rock’s birthday so I thought I’d doodle the red and blue idiots. They changed my life for the better, and they deserve it <3!

Rock is the reason I met the love of my life, and I connect with him a lot. Obviously there’s plenty of sentimental feelings given I use him as my screenname now, and most of the stories we write are really just, AU off branches of these two and a few characters close to them.

Plus I say every year how I’M GONNA DRAW SOMETHING WHEN THAT DAY ROLLS AROUND and usually end up too busy for personal art |D

a kind of melancholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details—raindrops skittering down a window, tall trees leaning in the wind, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee—which leads to a dawning awareness of the haunting fragility of life.

A little late but! I was inspired by Megaman X Dive to do this redraw of Maverick/Awakened Zero when the character came out a month ago. This is a 5 year difference between the two drawings and WOW does it show. The original assignment I was given was to used a limited warm-color palette and who-else would I have chosen? XD

The character has such a deep importance to me in this community, especially the RP aspect of it, as I used to write an AU Maverick Zero, who I actually still write from time to time (you might recognize him as the blond I affectionately call MZ).

2023 Art Summary!

There's a lot of things here that I haven't posted anywhere, I really need to get better about being more consistent about that... 🤣

Also quite a few things that were made this year was actually for Auxwave and merch that's we can sell at conventions! I definitely didn't do much in terms of personal art this year whoops.

I do think though that overall I'm happy with everything I have done this last year, and I'm excited for what I'll make in 2024!

IT IS. MY SON. AND ONE. OF HIS MANY BROTHERS.

Psi is my AU X from Megaman X. Long story short, his AU starts with the Bad End from X5, and goes on into a huge thing that barely resembles canon anymore, as what happens when you RP with a bunch of different people in the fictional multiverse. 

While RPing him, and MZ, I met my wife, Kara, and made many friends that have shaped the way I RP today, and how I approach my writing. ^v^ Xavier was Pandy’s AU X, who went through a similar starting experience to Psi, and both characters bonded really well. 

It was fun to draw these two again, as it’s been a few years since I’ve done this~ ^v^

Hooo boy! I made this much more complicated than I needed it to be, but it was still fun! I really like how his wings in particular came out. Seraph is ACTUALLY the Leader of the Reploid Resistance, not Ciel. There’s a whole thing for this, so I’ll just paste from bio instead of rewriting it again lol–

Seraph is built much the same way as the original X was, copied to a T, save for the fact that his core can’t quite hold up the same way, for there was no similar energy available. His wings are made of a type of anti-gravity hologram, giving him flight. He has the same copy-ability as the Hero before him, but it takes him time to switch weapons, excluding when shifting to his normal buster.

When he activates the Mythos Armor given to him, it changes his armor to gold and white, and gives him an upgrade in speed, strength, and processing power; he can shift elements in seconds, and his response time is much greater. The only drawback is that it cannot be active for much longer than thirty minutes before it starts to overexert his systems, and he’ll either overheat, or fall unconscious.

He originally had his Second Form, which had no legs and floating arms, but he discarded it after the first fight with Crimson, asking X to convert the ability towards more time for him to use his Mythos Armor.
