They watched these children, laughing and running through Hogwarts, grow up. They watched students they loved and nurtured and taught grow up to either be monsterās or die fighting the monsters. Generations of students lay before them, either death eaters or fighting against them. They watched little Tom Riddle, who they taught and love, turn into a horrible person. They watched little Harry Potter, always up to something, die in front of them. They watched little Remus Lupin, laughing and running around with his Marauders, die in front of them. They watched their little wizards and witches become bodies and casualties in a war that wasnāt theirs.

NOT TODAY š©
no, but just imagine.
it was second or third of november, an ugly, cloudy day and minerva mcgonagall lost her boys. she lost james and lily, great people, with all of their life ahead of them, with a son. it was depressing really, such young peopleĀ Ā
she received a letter in which is wrote that sirius was taken away to azkaban. she knows heās innocent, there is no other way!
and she screamed.
she screamed for the little boy, first year, who formed an unlike bond with a crazy-haired boy called james potter, with a tall, scrawny, scarred child called remus lupin and with a chubby boy called peter.Ā
she screamed for the second year sirius who came in her who came in her office at the end of the last term and, on a firm voice, he saidĀ āi want to take all optional coursesā. for a boy that was always in the library that researched animagiĀ āwithout a reason, iām just curious.ā
she screamed for a third year raven-haired boy who discreetly stared at his honey-colored hair friend and, despite it not being obvious, minerva knew. he fell for remus lupin. and he came out to her. firstly.
she screamed for a fourth year sirius black who excelled all of his classes, who looked in a special way at remus but then shook his head and laughed at one of jamesā jokes and pat peterās back and helped students when they needed it. she screamed for a boy that confessed his feeling to his best friend and, as they walked hand in hand in the great hall, she noticed that was the happiest heās ever been.
she sobbed for a fifth year sirius who fucked up. badly. she remembers him coming in her office and crying, saying he didnāt think itād get this far, and she believed him. because that was the truth. she knew he tried stuff he shouldnāt, she knew he cried himself to sleep. and she hugged him. later in life she found out that was the first, loving hug he ever got. and sirius fixed everything. they were the marauders again. and god was she proud when she found out all of his OWLs were all Outstandings and Exceed Expectations.
she cried for a sixth year sirius, now a runaway from home and she had to check up on him because he is her son. and he told her. everything. for a sirius black, all tattoos, piercings, long hair and even longer limbs with a laugh like a bark, who helped first years with directions and with studying. did peterās charms essays when he couldnāt. he was turning into a man.
she cried for the seventh year sirius, happy and whole. she knew he had nights he didnāt sleep or nights he spent on the astronomy tower but she knew he was happy. he told her. she saw it. of course, he could be lying. but it was true, and they knew it.
she screamed for sirius black. a lover, a son, a friend, a student, a brother, a friend, a warrior with a shattered childhood.
she screamed. for her son.

James and Regulus caught on the Marauders Map
(this is the only place i can post things like this, hope u enjoy:))
Remus (angrily): Sirius, why do you always have to act like a fucking child?
Sirius: Because I had to grow up fast and didnāt get to enjoy my childhood. I spent my entire childhood taking care of my younger brother so he wouldnāt have to suffer as much as I did
Remus:
Sirius (spraying silly string into Remusā face and riding away on a tricycle): So fuck you!
