We are approaching the 100th day, a number I can't comprehend, almost 100 days of bombing, thousands upon thousands of lives, dreams and uncountable love stolen from the world.
Desperately need to be reassured while someone eats my pussy, telling me how good it tastes, how good it feels, how good I sound. I need to feel so pretty while someone touches me and makes me cum.
To Exist Is To Resist. 19th August 2014.
My favorite part about being sapphic is when the things I love about other women become things I love about myself. One day I was tracing another woman’s stretch marks in a dim bedroom light. And then, seemingly by accident, I was doing it to myself in my bathroom mirror. I loved the feeling of a full hand of flesh when I grabbed a woman’s hips, and then mine didn’t need to be so skinny anymore. I looked at a woman’s lower stomach pudge and thought it was so soft and cute, then never wanted a flat stomach again. Loving women can be so healing when you come from a world that doesn’t.

This Christmas I am thinking about Palestinian Christians - who make up the oldest Christian community in the world.
Palestinian Christians, like Palestinians of other faiths, were also dispossessed of their homes and lands during the Nakba and experience the brutality of the occupation just as much as any other Palestinian does. Pilgrimages to occupied Palestine frequently ignore the entire existence of Palestinian Christians - who are routinely barred from visiting their own holy and ancestral sites.
Shireen Abu Akleh, an Al Jazeera reporter who was assassinated by Israel while covering an IOF raid on Jenin, was a Palestinian Christian. Edward Said, the author of Orientalism, was raised Christian from a Palestinian Christian family.
Palestine is not a Muslim cause, it’s not even an Arab cause, and it’s not a religious conflict - Free Palestine is a cause for all Palestinians against colonialism, including Palestinian Christians. Merry Christmas to Palestinian Christians.
Sonya Massey was a paranoid-schizophrenic woman who turned to the police when she was scared and suspected an intruder inside of her home; she was a Black, mentally ill, woman shot dead and executed by a white police officer solely because she said "I rebuke you" over a pot of water. she was DUCKING DOWN behind a counter repeating the words "I'm sorry" as he advanced and, eventually, killed her. Sean Grayson, a white police officer, executed her.
her name was Sonya Massey. she was a human being who deserved to live. say her fucking name. Sonya Massey.
edit: please do not erase or negate the fact that Sonya was schizophrenic. Black schizophrenic people are more likely to die at the hands of the police as well as be brutalised by them, and by negating the fact that she was schizophrenic, you are erasing that this was an execution fuelled by BOTH racism & saneism. please have some respect and continue to say her name, thank you.
there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
here is bashar. i’ve drawn him, spoken to him, and known him now for a few months. any shares help, any art helps. draw who you see, draw what you see. thanks all
