hilarious that this is my first spoiler post i know. but genuinely the amount of spotlight stobotnik, and just stone in general, got in this movie is INSANE. like in the first movie stone was just there to be eggman's lackey. second movie we had the bits of stone making the latte art and the maid outfit and shit, but he was still primarily eggman's lackey.

BUT HERE? they deadass made stone's love for this man a prominent plot point that was taken like 100% seriously. like you aren't really meant to laugh at stone in this movie, you are supposed to feel REALLY FUCKING BAD FOR HIM. AND I DID!!!!!!! I WAS DESPONDENT!!!!!

and like, THEY KILLED OFF EGGMAN IN THIS MOVIE, and almost the entirety of his final monologue, his SENDOFF in these films, WAS HIM TALKING TO STONE AND ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR BOND LIKE????????? do you understand how crazy that is.

like obviously it's meant to pass the torch to stone so he can be the big bad in the next film, but even outside of that, them making eggman's arc and character overall CULMINATE in him sending a farewell message to stone and stone crying over it and shit???? like the evolution of stone's character and their dynamic in general from the first film to now is CRAZY and im actually so insane about it.

we're finally getting main villain stone, with a tragic backstory of losing robotnik to boot, and i could NOT BE HAPPIER

I am already seeing y'all fucking make excuses not to vote if Kamala Harris is nominated so let's clear shit up real quick:

Number one: Harris has a harsher tone on Israel, and has demonstrated more willingness than Biden to push for the halt of all offensive weaponry aid to Israel if they continue their no-holds-barred assault on Palestine, and has been far more critical of their blocking of humanitarian aid. She also states support for a two party solution, but you will be hard fucking pressed to find any major candidate willing to say they want to help abolish Israel outright to the general public. While Biden has closer ties with Israel, Harris has more personal leanings on American progressives than anything else, and is far more likely to listen to criticism on the subject of Palestine. She demonstrates better diplomacy toward even countries we are not currently allied with and is in general, more likely to push for humanitarian change, she's objectively the best bet for both winning the election and getting reform on the Israeli bombardment of Palestine.

Number two: Harris is not fucking transphobic. The actions of the state attorney general office and state of California corrections, to deny transgender inmates gender reassignment surgery, was not her personal choice, she was a lawyer requires to do her job as a lawyer, she was not involved in writing the original briefing that used transphobic language or minimized the necessity of gender affirming care to inmates, in fact her involvement at later stages is part of what removed a lot of the repugnancy of the arguments and she was personally delighted when the settlement led to the state considering providing gender affirming surgery to inmates who are recommended for it. Similar is true of other stories like this as well. In general she's been a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community, especially the T, she's responsible for making "trans panic" a non viable defense for the murder and assault of trans people in the state of California, helped toss a bathroom bill, created an act to hold law enforcement responsible for harassment and negligence toward trans individuals, and was a key player in altering title IX to include protections against discrimination for Gender Identity. Any attempts to paint her as having mixed or bad policy toward trans people is actively an attempt to dissuade you from voting for her, and should be analyzed incredibly critically.

Shut the fuck up already. Vote.

Hey by the way next time that some normal person is murdered and the cops "aren't able to find out who did it" remember that they've spent over a week and unfathomable resources relentlessly conducting a nation-wide search for someone who murdered a CEO, and it APPEARS that they've got him (IF it's even him) --- so next time they tell you that they Just Don't Know Who Killed That Civilian And They Can't Find Out, And Don't Have The Resources To Try Harder, know that it's total and absolute bullshit. It's just that a regular civilian is less important than a CEO. Finding the guy who murdered a vicious parasite is more important in maintaining the status quo than finding someone who murdered your loved one, or that person you know, or the guy who runs the corner store, or the stranger who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

For the most stunning act of bravery, class, integrity, and speaking truth to power that has graced the USA in far too long.

Not a single shake in her voice as she spoke directly to one of the most vengeful, spiteful, and (unfortunately) powerful people on the planet, while also receiving glares of hate and outrage from the despicable VP and his wife.

It's not the first time she's stood up for what is right in defiance of trump's actions, but while many may speak out on it, there have been scarcely any with the backbone to follow through on the opportunity to do it to his face, and especially on live television. She had her moment, and she didn't waste it.

May she be the inspiration we all take forward with us into the turbulent times ahead.
