I like giving myself work so I’m going to combine the jq leather suit pieces I’ve drawn and turned into eddie with the guitar eddie i started last week and do a big magazine spread for rockstar eddie and that’s gonna take a while so here’s a wip

here's a short list of headcanons i came up with for eddie and his weird girlfriend. i felt like the weird girls were underrepresented so i decided to write something for us lol
also i didn't specify a time for this. i was thinking the eighties when i wrote this bc i'm into that decade but you can read this with whatever time you're more comfortable with
so, eddie’s got this girlfriend. you. a freak like him and his friends; but not so much in the same way. while they nerd out on dungeons & dragons and lord of the rings (at least he does), you nerd out on horror movies and death.
you’re so interested in it all. the movies are a comfort for you. a home you didn’t have. a belonging. with various stories and characters and the people behind them all. you can feel the love there.
and death is just beautiful to you. doesn’t scare you much like it does other people. you find cemeteries calming, so you hang out there a lot.
you aren’t very squeamish either, you’re alright with blood. fascinated by it, too. so most people find you weird. but not eddie’s friends. and DEFINITELY not eddie. he’s into horror too, but he’s fascinated with your fascination with the macabre.
you’ve been called goth many times before but you’re not sure if you are, you’re not really good with labels. you’re just… you. and you just happen to love black.
and eddie adores it all. encourages it. he’ll plan picnics in cemeteries for you. he’ll buy you trinkets from antique or oddity shops as often as he can when he has the money.
so you’ve got various animal skulls and vintage jewelry (and who knows what else) all over your house.
if he doesn’t have the money, he’ll make you something himself. cards in the shape of bats or coffins or teeth or anything else like that.
he loves coming to your house and seeing all the flowers (especially red roses) wilted or slowly wilting away and placed all over the place.
he loves that you kept at least one flower from your first date in a scrapbook and he loves it even more that the rest of them rest on your nightstand.

alright so i probably should've mentioned that the x reader fic will be for the weird girls bc there isn't enough out there for us (at least that i've found). obviously anyone and everyone is welcome to read whatever i come up with but this is just a heads up.
btw by weird girls, i mean girls like lisa swallows (lisa frankenstein), the girlies from the craft (1996), ginger and brigitte fitzgerald (ginger snaps), etc. if you're not into that, then i totally get it lol
i started writing a stranger things/scream (au?) fic a few months ago but i got so discouraged and unmotivated and started doubting myself and what i was doing so idk when i'll pick that back up if i'm gonna pick it back up at all...
i think me trying to write a full (possibly with chapters) fanfic out the gate is crazy and probably overly ambitious (is that the right word?) lol
anyway... i think i'll keep trying to write headcanons about various characters i enjoy and i guess go from there. maybe after a while, i'll decide whether writing in this way really is for me or not. i'm very out of my comfort zone doing this. maybe i'll try coming up with eddie munson headcanons (i already have a few), or try coming up with more jack delroy ones (i wanna try to give him a little more of a back story, a little more life than what we were given in lnwtd), and other characters down the line.
GOD i have so many ideas for things to create (to write and other things probably) but i do not have the confidence to actually create what i want or even share it with anyone. that's so annoying. but maybe what i make or what i want to make isn't meant to be shared at all...
speaking of eddie munson... i have a headcannon (or a few???) in my drafts on my other account so if anyone would be interested in reading those i would love to post those lol
would anyone be interested in me writing literally anything about eddie munson (MAYBE x reader down the line if and when i become more comfortable with writing/in my writing) without any/much dialogue lol

i decided since jack delroy doesn't have much of a proper back story, i'd make one up for him! kinda... these are just a few headcanons i came up with for him.
this is my first time writing headcanons or pretty much anything fandom related so please bear with me. also constructive criticism is appreciated. (also please be nice to me lol)
jack loves doo-wop. one of his favorite songs is ‘i only have eyes for you’ by the flamingos
he has a fairly decent relationship with his parents but he’s probably slightly closer to his mom (though, he isn’t exactly a mama’s boy)
has two sisters; one younger, one older. they’re really close and consider each other best friends, always have
had a phase where he didn’t talk he was younger, wrote in notebooks instead
(had a phase where he) hated getting his hair cut by strangers so his mom and older sister learned to cut it for him
got sick a lot as a child, spent a lot of that time reading comics and drawing
was always the entertainer of the family, they knew he’d make something of himself one day
has always loved the nighttime, prefers it over the day. he was always fascinated by the moon and stars. bonded with his mom and his aunt over it. his love and interest over the moon and stars only increased as he grew older. likes to spend as much time as he can awake at night just to stare outside
his favorite subjects in school were english, science, and history. he and his dad bonded over english. his dad would give him different books of different genres to read. he ends up enjoying darker authors like edgar allan poe
gets closer to his dad as he gets older (as close as he is with mom, maybe even slightly more than that)
turned 24 last friday which is actually kinda crazy to think about. planning on working on other stuff i've previously started working on. i'm hoping to get something out soon but we'll see what happens
