Heyo! With pride month starting, here's a quick comic on pride Etiquette, a short guide / general tips on treating lgbt+ people, for the new, curious, and those who forgot!
1) Treat people's identities as the indisputable truth. Even if you don't think they fit the definition, even if you don't understand (the identity), even if you think they're lying, even if they're a bad person. It's not your job nor your business to tell people what to call themselves. Unless they ask for your opinion, only the individual can make that decision.
*There's very few times when an identity can actually be harmful. This includes predatory labels, labels that are bigoted by definition, or people identifying with culture-specific labels when they're not part of that culture. Otherwise, leave them be!
2) Respect and use people's pronouns, regardless of how you feel about them! If you don't know how they work, ask! If you accidentally misgender someone, correct yourself and move on! No need for lengthy or dramatic apologies. However, also make sure to ask when it's appropriate to use them! Someone may not be out to parents, certain friends, etc, and will ask you to purposefully misgender them for safety.
3) LGBT+ people are not responsible for someone else's anti-lgbt+ views! Strange, unbelievable or confusing identities do not cause bigots to be bigots- the lgbt+ community was made because we don't fit society's box, don't fall into the trap of forcing people into another one! If they're not actually hurting anyone, then leave them be!
4) You're not expected to learn every single lgbt+ term / identity. Nobody knows all of them, not even lgbt+ people, so don't worry about it! Simply learn and ask questions as you go!
5) If you're curious about someone's identity, ask if they're comfortable with questions first! There's no harm in educating yourself, but sometimes we get tired of being walking encyclopedias!
Thanks for reading, and happy Pride!!!
The long night.
Dream opened his eyes again. He hadn't really been sleeping, he'd just been resting for while. The room was dark, not pitch black but dark enough. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Cross' his chest rising and falling as he breathed. At least he was still breathing he thought for a second.
His eyes moved to the ring in his hand. He twisted it in his fingers. Over the past few hours, he'd been sliping it on and off, indecisive on about whether or not he wanted to commit to wearing it.
He slipped it on again. A perfect fit, it had always been meant for him anyway. He watched as the stone glistened brightly against the dark gloves.
Things had definitely taken a turn today, there's no doubt in his mind that he wanted to put this whole situation behind him. Unfortunately, he knew it was only going to get worse in the coming days.
His soul gave a lurch. He felt exhausted and drained. It was strange for him, he didn't usually feel sleepy. He was weakning.
Cross shifted in his sleep. With a sigh, Shattered pushed himself up into his elbow. Cross didn't respond to this movement.
He trased his thumb across one of the marks and cross' ribs. It was better than it had been an hour ago. Soon there wouldn't even be scars left. Atleast he could always rely on this code to heal him. Hopefully he'd wake up soon.
Shattered lay down again, wrapping his arms carefully around Cross' body to pull him closer. It felt so long since they've been able to be this close so easily. Even if it hadn't been very long ago at all.
Dream nuzzled into Cross' shoulder and neck bones for a moment. Cross had always used to get so embarrassed when he did that. A smile crept onto his face for a moment. But it was soon wiped away.
For all he knew, Cross hated him now. He wouldn't be surprised if he did. If that was true, he'd probably hate him more of he knew how close he was to him.
He sat up again carefully, this time fully and leant his back against the wall. He kept his hand on Cross' arm, almost feeling that him he let go of him, he'd disappear.
He wasn't sure what the morning would bring, but he knew it was going to be a long night.

Ah, this took so long so so so so long. This is an idea I had and I needed to bring it to life. This takes place between 'nothing will ever be the same' and 'the price of happiness'

Relax, doctor. Relax your shoulders, look away from the screen, blink a bit, and take a deep breath and stretch. When you come back to your position of rest, sit up a little straighter.
Take care of yourself, doctor.
This is Essence, he’s a ship kid i have, and recently i decided he’d paly the violin, so i drew it! I might change some parts of his desgin in the future as its still in the works, but for now, im happy with it.
Character consept: Jackie Ripper
One of the many victims of Jack the Ripper.
She's a tormented soul. Forever in physical and emotional pain. She is part of a universe in which, it seems, that people who died of a particularly horrible or traumatic death get reincarnated or reborn into a new form, which takes on features that resemble or mirror in some way the how they died.
Jackie's form pays homage to red riding hood and the wolf, since she leant never to trust strangers.
She doesn't know her real name and has almost no memories of her life other then the events leading to her death.
For those of you who don't know of Jack the Rippers victims (gore warning) this is how she died...
She was a prostitute in the Victorian era who ended up having her womb and ovaries ripped out.
She has a snappy personality. The best word to describe her would be bitch. But if you befriend her she will be fiercely loyal.
She aims to teach people about the danger of strangers and how to properly judge character.
So here she is. Mind you this is just the first consept. There will be more when I get round to it. Hope you like her.
I created Jackie to be a secondary character in a story that @thebluescreenofdespair is creating so if you want the full story check it out there.
One of the baristas at a nearby Starbucks makes me lose my mind every time I’m working there by saying things that are not outside the spectrum of normal human words but are just slightly off-the-wall.
Barista: Welcome to Starbucks, home of delicious, what deliciousness can I put in motion for you today?
Customer: … Can I get a trenta pink drink please?
Barista: Go big or go home, we here at Starbucks appreciate your commitment, what else can I get started for you?
***
Customer: Nitro cold brew with shots of espresso please.
Barista: Brave of you to commit to staying awake for three days, anything else today?
***
Barista: *slams open drive-thru window* HI HOW ARE YOU?
Customer: …I’m pretty good.
Barista: Are you ready to be even better? Because you’re about to be. *hands them their coffee*
***
Barista, realizing that a drink was made wrong: *slams open window* SO how do you feel about surprises?
Customer: ….they’re okay.
Barista: Great because I’m about to give you one.
***
Barista: You have two drinks so I am going to hand you two straws which means, FANTASTIC news, these straws double as drumsticks. / You have one drink so I am going to hand you one straw and, promise not to tell anyone, this straw doubles as a magic wand.
***
Barista: Here are those cake pops, I plucked them fresh from the tree myself.
***
Barista: *slams open window, holding drink* Amazing, fantastic, delicious, you are a very lucky man/woman!
