No matter the kink you're playing with, your partner's safety and consent has to come first. I'm into all sorts of shit, but due to a recent interaction I don't trust that folks know this.

Guns, knives, medical equipment, choking, rope, breath play, fucking ANYTHING tbh - has the capacity to cripple, traumatize or kill if you're not careful. Do your hands shake? Do you dissociate easily? Are you bad with reading body cues? Sit down and do some research on what may work better for you.

And like - yeah, that's scary as shit.

You don't want to lose someone you care about. You don't want anyone's blood on your hands, or the reality that comes with a death. If you give someone brain damage or permanently disabled them because you wanted to choke them out a little more, that's destroying their quality of life. That's an end to your kink dynamic

They might trust you. They might ask you for it. It's your responsibility as a Dom, as a partner, to keep things safe. To know how to do things safely, so that it's scary - but not harmful. It's their responsibility too to know your limits and capabilities - to have discussed all this with you.

In reality, you want to be a haunted house. Lots of thrills and adrenaline, no actual damage.

In fiction, go the hell off. Do what you want. Half of my kinks can't happen irl anyway and I know what the distinction is.

Just remember that life is precious. That a lotta this is coming from folks who've had their lives thrown away by other people, and are processing it.

Do not point a gun at anyone you don't want to kill. You play around with firearms, you end up with manslaughter charges like fuckin Alec Baldwin.

Be careful. Be considerate. Be consensual. Respect the lives and wellbeing of your fellow kinksters and...have fun. Find ways to have all the fucked up scenarios you want that don't involve accidentally exsanguinating your playmate.
