I certainly hope that no one tries to memorialize the piece of trash that wrought this tragedy. I feel for his family, but at the same time I also hold them responsible for letting this miscreant monstrosity run loose. And further, if the gun that was used is traced back to a family member, then the owner of that gun should be charged and tried as an accomplice before the fact. No way around it: this kid and his family are just plain garbage. My prayers go out to the innocents in this tragedy, but I hope that the family of the shooter has to endure this special raw pain for the length of eternity.

If this is a glimpse of the future, then I'll pass. The buildings look cool, upon first sight, but if you think about it and wander around the grounds mentally, in the right frame of mind, you'll see that these domes kind of resemble those clusters of nondescript, blasé fungi you might see in a forest or near fallen underbrush. Those genuine fungal growths look cool and natural to me, but this structure looks cold, bleak and devoid of light and life. To be sure it is a nice bit of design and engineering work, but that's about all I can say in a complimentary tone. I would come to dread my home if it were contained therein...

This is what a lot of us forgot while we were being frightened and isolated last year, with the deluge of propaganda from all sides and the usurping of liberties and livelihoods assaulting us hourly. We forgot grace and mercy. That led to 'Karens', and that led to animosity and being offended and the word 'racist' dividing us further. And for what? To set us back a half a century, to a time of violence and blindness? No, we need to come together like the girls in this group project video, and make a difference in another living thing's life. We'd want the same consideration from other superior life, if we ever woke up to find that we were no longer apex...

Do some good. Do it a month from now, 2 weeks from now, 10 days from now, HELL! Do it tomorrow... it doesn't matter, as long as you do something good and in tune with your Higher Power, be it God and Jesus Christ, or The Universe, or Ganesha, or any pantheon of any creed...

I try to do some good every day. It's its own reward...

I hope these misguided "idealists," those guided by their own self-indulgent desires, realize just this one thing: this nation takes treason, no matter how seemingly noble a cause that treason may don as a mask, as not only unconstitutional, but also punishable by death. There are better ways to create change, better ways that don't infringe upon others' rights and beliefs. But, go ahead with your angry, youthful violence... I had this book once, and it was one of my treasures as a kid. Sadly, it and all of the trappings of my childhood were lost in a house fire, thanks to the landlord, one Hiram Chait, torching the place for insurance money. And it was an arson that nearly killed me as a result of my witnessing him and his friend set the blaze. I ran from them and hid in an outbuilding that was some kind of barn-garage thing, and they set that on fire, too. An old axe 🪓 saved my life, but the handle broke in the process. Too bad, because I sure would have liked to have taken a few dozen swings at the landlord and his accomplice. Especially since the son of a bitch was never prosecuted...

But yeah, very cool book for a Trekkie geek...
