Please, please understand that an assumption isn't forced or something you have to "try" to believe because it's just something you accept as true without question. You don't wake up every day wondering if you have a name, if the sky is blue or if gravity works. You just know with certainty. That's how conscious manifestation works. You decide something IS true and of course it reflects like every other assumption. You need to ACTUALLY assume you have something to get it please don't pretend or hope. A real assumption isn't forced, it's something you accept as fact without needing proof. If you say you assumed something but then claim it didn't happen you didn't actually assume it lol. You either doubted it, contradicted it or held another assumption alongside it. You assuming is NOT a technique and it's not something you "do" to get something.
The reason some people treat creating an assumption like it's a technique is because they think if they repeat it enough their mind will suddenly be tricked into believing it. That's NOT how an assumption works. An assumption is just accepting something as fact. If you're trying to "convince" yourself you're admitting you don't actually accept it as true. Come on… your mind is not stupid. It knows when you're forcing something versus when you genuinely accept it as reality (assume it). You need to be so certain that questioning isn't even an option and idc if other people disagree because who questions an assumption? An assumption is something you accept as true without proof go search it up. You must stay firm. It's not hoping, testing or checking for results it's about knowing aka accepting it as a fact. When you truly assume something it becomes your reality instantly. Reality will always reflect your truth.
So how do you truly accept something as true? It's actually simple but people overlook because they think taking time to face what's holding them down will waste their time. It's better to find out why you're finding it difficult and address it instead of staying stuck in a loop forever.
You need to find out what is preventing you from accepting your own word as the truth. Why don't you trust your own word as a fact? If you tell yourself "I have my desire" but deep down you're doubting or waiting or looking for proof then ask yourself "why don't I trust myself?" What thoughts are making you second guess your own reality? Is it because you're treating the physical world as more real than your own assumptions? Is it because you think that the physical world is the reason why you think you don't have what you want, when in reality it's because you assumed it first for it to reflect? Did you forget that reality is a mirror of your assumptions? Could it be you're looking at your circumstances and saying ughhh this is what's happening instead of actually understanding that what's happening is just a reflection of what you have been assuming up until this moment? Or maybe you've placed your power outside of yourself right? You believe circumstances or external factors hold weight in your manifestation rather than realising that NOTHING is set in stone and the only thing dictating your reality is your current assumption right? Maybe you think you have to do something and this is far too simple?
Figure it out and actually just spend time with yourself to pin point where you are struggling. Stop running away from your problems and address the reason why you can't accept your word as the truth. Remind yourself of the basics of the Law if you need to.
Now ask yourself what are you ACTUALLY assuming? Look at you telling yourself "Oh I'm affirming for my SP" and that being reflected back: you affirming for your SP. Look at you treating the concept of "just decide" like another method or technique to get to your desire and that being reflected in your reality: you in the process of using "just decide" like a technique to manifest. See how perfect the Law is? It's reflecting exactly what you're assuming. You're seeing your assumptions play out exactly as they are because manifestation is always based on what you're ACTUALLY assuming. You're STILL giving options to reality when there are no options… it's only what you say it is. As soon as you drop the debate you have with yourself in your mind and stop entertaining opposing thoughts you'll see how easy it is. You don't argue with yourself about basic facts of your life do you? You just accept them as true. That's exactly how you need to see your assumptions. Yes you need to be that certain and firm.
I PROMISE you the "key" everyone talks about to getting what you want… repeat with me… is to decide once and for all that it's done and that's it. Just accept it as true. Please just say f*ck all and accept it as true. What will you lose? Just do it.

It was another cold night in Queens, making you wish you had decided to go to school someplace warmer. While your studio apartment was quite a hike from campus, it was cheaper than the dorms, which is why you decided to live off-campus. The cold bit at your fingertips, causing you to hide them under your long sleeves. You stopped in front of the alley you always use as your shortcut, since it gets you home faster. But something felt off. You shook your head, chalking it all up to you just being paranoid after a long day. You made your way into the alley, just trying to get home as fast as possible.

*gif isn’t mine*
“I’m calling the police!” You shouted.
“Do it and I’ll shoot you!”
“Shit,” you muttered. You knew the robber was bluffing. He had to be. What would he gain out of robbing a candy store? One that was about to go out of business in a few months. Why couldn’t he just rob a mall? Surely they had more money than your candy store did.
“Give me the money!” He waved the gun around the air.
“I told you, I have you all we have!” You glared at him.
“Fifty dollars and thirty-seven cents is all you have? Liar!”
“Oh, my god,” you groaned. “I’m serious! Go and job a bank, or something! They have more money!”
He titled his head at you, raising his brow in question.
“I-I mean, don’t rob a bank. Don’t rob anyone. It’s against the law, you know. You can make money by getting a real job! McDonald’s pays people like, seventeen per hour now!” You tried to stall as you attempted to dial 9-1-1 under the counter. It was difficult to try and press the correct numbers without looking.
“Just give me the rest of my money and I’ll go. Don’t be so difficult!”
“I swear, there’s no more money! You caught us at a bad time, really,” you smiled nervously.
He rolled his eyes and stomped over to you. “Let me see.”
“No! Don’t come near me!” You screamed. You took a lollipop and aimed it at his head, completely missing. “Crap,” you moaned.
“Stop talking, you little —”
“Incoming!”
You both looked up as a blur of red and blue crashed through the doors. Glass shattered and flew all through the store. You ducked behind the counter to avoid any shards.
“What the hell!” You shrieked as you stood back up.
“Sorry! I’ll, uh, pay for that.”
You and the robber gasped as it was Spider-Man who came crashing through your doors.
“OMG! You-You’re Spider-Boy!” Your jaw dropped. “Spider-Man, actually,” he corrected you.
“Right, sorry! Um, a little help here?” You gestured to the robber who still had his gun pointed at you.
“Right. Sorry.” He webbed up the robber and took his gun away from him. You watched in amazement how he smashed the gun with his foot and tied the robber up just in time for the cops to arrive.
“That was… awesome!” You squealed.
“It’s no problem,” Spider-Man chuckled bashfully.
“Did you call the cops, too?” You asked.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “Thank you. It’s really hard dialing three numbers while you’re held at gun-point,” you chuckled.
“Well, I’m glad I could help.” He looked at the cop cars nervously, then back to you. He didn’t want to leave. Especially when you were so pretty and looked like you could use a friend for the night, but he didn’t want the cops to catch him. He had to keep his identity and secret and he didn’t want to end up in jail either.
“I gotta go,” he said. Your face fell for a second, but you quickly picked yourself back up. “Yeah, of course. Thank you, again.”
“No problem! Have a safe night!” He swung out of the building. You watched as he flew into the midnight sky. You couldn’t believe you just met Spider-Man.
————
“Did you get a picture with him?” Gwen asked. “I was getting robbed! I didn’t have time for pictures!” You rolled your eyes.
“Sorry, sorry, of course not. But, oh my god, that’s so cool! Was he cute?” She asked.
“How am I supposed to know? He had a mask on?”
“Did he sound cute?”
You thought back to the other night, replaying your conversation with him over and over again. A small smile lit up your face as you remembered his voice.
“Yeah, he did.”
“How old did he sound?” She interrogated. “Like, 16, 17? I don’t know,” you shrugged.
“Oh, so he could be our age,” Gwen smirked. “Maybe he goes to our school?”
“Highly unlikely,” you snorted. “That’s true. He’s probably at some private school,” she said.
“Or he’s just a young-sounding 25-year-old.”
“I turned 18 next month.”
“Gwen!” You giggled. “What? Don’t pretend you wouldn’t want to date a hot superhero, either. Especially Spider-Man. He could web me up anytime!” She giggled.
Your face grew hot just by her words. You wanted to change the conversation immediately.
“Did you do the Hamlet paper?” You asked. “Duh. Who do you think I am?” Gwen asked.
“Just checking. I seem to remember a certain someone needing a copy for herself last time,” you hummed.
“That was one time, and I already had my paper done! Finn ate my homework!” Gwen whined.
“Did you tell Mr. Jones that?”
“Yeah, and he said, and I quote, “Bunnies eating homework was so last year. Pick a different excuse”.”
You laughed, “I wonder if you said cow would he then believe you.”
“Doesn’t matter. He is the worse teacher ever,” she rolled her eyes.
You nodded in agreement. You shut your locker, getting starstruck by your crush from across the room. You liked Miles Morales, the smartest guy in school and the best basketball player your school has ever had. He was sweet, funny, and so hot. Only trouble was he never noticed you. Not in the way you wanted him to.
“Stop daydreaming! We’re gonna be late!” Gwen nudged you.
“Sorry,” you mumbled, slowly tearing your eyes away.
You two made eye contact and you quickly turned around. Those chocolate-brown eyes of his were dangerous. You swore you could get lost in them for hours.
“Ask him out!” Gwen whispered. “Ha! Like he would say yes,” you snorted.
“I don’t know. I saw him staring at you at lunch.”
You perked up at her words. “Really?”
“Yep! Or he was staring at your food. I’m not sure, but either way, he was looking in your direction.”
“If he was staring at my food then that means he’s not interested in me.” You rolled your eyes.
“Okay, but let’s say he was staring at you. Put yourself out there! The worst thing that’ll happen is him saying no. You’ll survive.”
“But what if everyone in school finds out?”
“No offense, but we are nobodies. Miles isn’t one to gossip, either.”
“I guess.” You thought for a moment. Sophie was right. If he said no, then no biggie. It wasn’t like you two were soulmates anyways. But if he said yes… well that would be perfect. And even if you two only dated for a little while, it would still be perfect because you’ve liked him all throughout high school, and you would finally get your chance at being with him. Maybe you two would get married, have babies, lots of cats and dogs…
“Y/n? Y/n?” Gwen waved her hand in front of your face.
“What? Sorry,” you apologized. “Are you gonna ask him out or not?” She asked.
“After school,” you nodded. Gwen grinned and clapped her hands. “That’s awesome! I can’t wait to go shopping so we can buy you an outfit for your date!”
“I don’t need new clothes,” you frowned. She smirked, “Oh, honey. Yes, you do.”
————
You paced back and forth in front of the gym doors. You didn’t know why you were so nervous. Okay, yes you did. But it was no big deal. All you had to do was invite him to a movie, and whatever his answer was, you would either run out there out of embarrassment or text Gwen to help you find an outfit. It was easy.
You looked in the window, watching Miles as he ran around the gym with his friends. He dunked the ball, causing all his friends to whoop.
“Alright. Here we go,” you breathed out. You began to open the door, but you stopped as you saw a girl run over to Miles. You watched in horror as the girl threw her arms around him and kissed him. He had a girlfriend? How did you not know this?”
You spun on your heel and ran to the parking lot. You drove home quickly, trying to not cry until you got yo your apartment. You rushed through the door, ignoring your mom as she greeted you. You shut your bedroom door and collapsed on your bed. Tears started to waterfall down your face in frustration and sadness. Of course he had a girlfriend. He was Miles-freaking-Morales.
You cried for a good hour before the tears stopped. You changed into comfortable clothes and curled up in your bed with your laptop. You started to watch a movie when your mom walked in.
“Hey, you okay?” She asked. “Yeah,” you mumbled.
“What’s wrong?”
“Just boy stuff.”
“Mm, I see,” she hummed. She sat down at the end of your bed, holding out an envelope. “Well, a letter came for you.”
You sat up in your bed, tentatively taking the letter. “Who sent it?”
“It says Spider-Man. Is that the guy that saved you at the store?” Your mom asked.
“Yeah,” you gasped. “H-How does he know our address?”
“Donald dropped it off. Apparently, Spider-Man sent it to the store.”
“Oh,” you nodded. You looked back at your mom, giving her a small smile. “Thanks.”
She smiled back, patting your leg. “No problem. Dinner’s ready if you’re hungry.”
“I’ll be out in a second,” you nodded.
“Alright.” She walked out of your room, closing your door quietly.
You ripped open the envelope, unfolding the paper hastily. You were anxious to see why Spider-Man had written you a letter.
Hey,
I’m not sure if you remember me. I’m Spider-Man or the guy who saved you last night. Sorry about destroying your store. I promise I’ll pay for the damages… or try to.
Anyways, my real name is um… I don’t know if I should tell you this. Mr. Stark would kill me, but I weirdly trust you. Anyways, like I was saying, I’m Peter Parker. I am your age, I think… if you’re 20 then you look great for a 20-year-old. But if you’re 17, then that’s great, because that’s how old I am too.
“Peter Parker,” you repeated.
It sounded familiar. You didn’t think he went to your school. You knew everybody in your school, but maybe he went to school the next town over and your school and his had competed together for sports or something.
As you continued reading the letter, you couldn’t believe the words on the paper. Your eyes were about to pop out of their sockets as you were almost finished. You were definitely re-reading this letter.
“Here’s my number you can text with your answer. Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Peter Parker,” you read.
Your stated dumbfounded at the paper. You were shocked, confused, flabbergasted. Did you just get asked out by Spider-Man?
————
“He wrote you a letter? Oh, that’s so cute!” Gwen squealed.
“Cute? I don’t know. It’s kind of weird. What if it’s a prank? The robbing was all over the news, someone who saw it could be playing a prank. If I agree to the date, I could get kidnapped,” you frowned.
“That’s true,” Gwen nodded. “But what if it’s actually him?”
“I still wouldn’t know what to do.”
“Say yes!” She exclaimed. “I don’t even know him. He doesn’t go to out school, either. He could be 60 for all we know!” You stated.
Gwen gave you a seriously look. “Stop being so difficult! Here, just text him right now.”
“No, we’re at school. I don’t — Gwen!” You shouted.
She took your phone and went to your messages. She typed in the number Spider-Man had provided you.
“Hi, I am Y/n L/n, the girl you saved at the candy store. Is this Peter Parker aka Spider-Man?” She typed out.
“Don’t put my real name!” You hissed. “Already done.” She clicked the send button.
“God, I hate you.” You grabbed your phone back.
“Thank me when you’re married to this guy,” she smirked.
You got a text back almost immediately. “Hi! I was wondering when you would text me. I began to worry I sent the letter to the wrong person. Or you thought I was weird.” You couldn’t help but snort. He got the last part right.
“Text back!” Gwen urged. “What do I say?” You asked.
She took your phone again and worked her magic.
Y/n: Honestly, I was a little shocked, but my awesome best friend, Gwen, convinced me to text you.
“Real nice,” you remarked. Gwen shot you a smile and looked back at your phone.
Peter: Your friend sounds great! So, when are you free?
“Wait. We need proof he’s our age,” you said. “Alright,” Gwen nodded and asked him for a picture.
“Woah,” you sighed dreamily.
Real photo or not, he was cute. Really cute. He had a full head of fluffy-looking brown hair that was brushed back, deep brown eyes — your favorite kind — and the friendliest smile ever. Next to him was an older woman with long hair and glasses. She looked beautiful. She looked like his mom.
“Still debating whether or not you want to go out with him?” Gwen smirked.
“Give me the phone.” You grabbed it from her, texting him back.
Y/n: Thanks! Wow. You are like, really cute.
Peter: Thank you. You’re really pretty
Heat crawled up your neck. You couldn’t help the huge grin that was plastered on your face.
Y/n: Thank you :)
Peter: You’re welcome :D. So, like I asked, when are you free?
Y/n: Anytime, really! Just not tomorrow night. I have to watch my baby sister.
Peter: No worries. How’s Friday night?
Y/n: I’m free!
Peter: Great! I’ll pick you up at 6?
Y/n: Sounds good!
Peter: Awesome. Mind sending me your address?
Y/n: Oh yeah. No problem.
“Look at you giving your number to strangers!” Gwen took ahold of your shoulders and shook you side-to-side.
“You’re ruining the moment,” you frowned. You turned off your phone and set it down on the table. You turned to Gwen, squealing in excitement. “I can’t believe I have a date!”
“Yeah, with Spider-Man.”
“With Peter,” you sighed dreamily.
————
“And he sent you a letter?” Your dad asked skeptically.
“Yep,” you nodded. “It’s thoughtful, right, Josh?” Your mom hummed.
“I guess,” he sighed. “It was thoughtful,” you smiled at your mom.
“How do you two know each other if you don’t go to the same school?” Your dad asked.
“He, uh, kinda saved my life the other night,” you explained.
“You’re going out with Spider-Man? Oh, nu-uh. If you think I’m —”
“Dad, please! This is my first date ever. Don’t ruin it,” you pouted.
“She has the police on speed dial, pepper spray, and I made sure she brought a tiny knife for extra protection.” Your mom put her hand on your father’s shoulder.
He frowned, “After you call the police, call me, okay?”
You smiled, “I will.” You hugged both of your parents. “Thank you.”
“Spider-Boy better keep you safe and have you home by eleven sharp.”
“He will. We won’t be out that long. It’s just dinner and a movie,” you said.
“It better be.”
A knock on the sounded, signaling Peter at the door. You sighed nervously. Your heart started to race a mile a minute. As you started to walk to the door you started to feel dizzy. You still couldn’t believe you were going ong our first date, much less with Spider-Man. Was this real life or a dream?
But before you made it to the door, your baby sister, Nina, opened the door.
“Nina! Don’t —”
Your jaw dropping as you saw him. He was a lot more handsome in real life.
He was wearing a white button-down, jeans, and sneakers. His hair was brushed back, a few strands poking out and framing his face. He looked star-struck as well. He looked you up and down multiple times. He felt like he was in a dream.
“H-Hi. I’m Parker. I-I’m mean Peter. Peter Parker,” he stammered.
“Hi. I’m Y/n,” you smiled. “You’re so pretty,” he breathed out.
Your face flushed. You looked down shyly, peering at him through your lashes. “You’re really handsome.”
“Th-Thank you. My Aunt May dressed me. I’ve never really been on a date before, so I didn’t know what to wear,” he chuckled. His ears suddenly turned pink. He looked so embarrassed. “I shouldn’t have said that. It makes me sound so stupid. Uh, sorry —”
“No, no, it’s okay!” You laughed. “I haven’t been on a date, either,” you admitted.
“Really?” He seemed genuinely shocked. “Yep,” you chuckled.
“Well, I’m honored to be your first date.”
“As am I.”
“So, this is Spider-Boy, huh?” Your dad asked.
You whipped around, growing more nervous as your dad looked Peter up and down.
“Hello, s-sir. I’m Peter Parker.”
Your sad stalked up to him, standing tall and looking him up and down. “You’ll keep my daughter safe, yes? You won’t get her into any of your superhero trouble?”
“Yes, sir,” Peter nodded slowly.
“Alright,” your father nodded. “Have fun you two.”
“Thanks, dad,” you smiled. You gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Bye, Peter!” Nina grinned. Peter smiled down at her. “Bye!”
You gave your family a goodbye smile before you shut the door. “Sorry about them. Nina loves Spider-Man and my dad is well, being a dad.”
“It’s no problem. You have a nice family.”
“Thank you. Sounds like your Aunt May is cool. She has great taste.” You pointed to his outfit.
“Thank you. She does. So, uh, shall we?” He held his hand out.
Your eyes flickered down to his open hand and back up to his face. You slipped your hand into his, tingles shooting up both of your arms and down your spines.
“We shall.”
————
The date started off awkward. You two sat in the taxi with too much space between you two. The only sound was the car breaks and the quiet radio the driver had on. It took you two a good thirty minutes to warm up to each other. You wouldn’t have it any other way though.
In just the hour of talking to him, you learned that his parents died when he was young, he was an only child, and he lived with his Aunt May who was in the picture with him he had sent to you. He loved physics and bio-engineering. He hoped to get into MIT to study engineering, although he admitted that he could make a living being Tony Stark’s intern and Spider-Man. He still wanted to be a normal boy.
You learned that he was the biggest fan of Star Wars, he had two best friends MJ and Ned, he slept with a teddy bear until he was 14, and he loved being Spider-Man and saving people. He told you that was the true reason why he loved doing it. Not because of the glory or cool suit, but because at the end of the day he was saving lives and making the city a better place day by day. It made you like him even more.
“I’ve been talking about myself this past hour. I promise I’m not this self-conceited. Tell me about you,” he said.
“It’s okay, don’t worry. I like getting to know people, especially since my life is so boring.”
“I bet that’s not true. Tell me about your family and friends.”
“Alright. Well, you met my dad and my baby sister. My mom was the creepy woman in the corner snapping all the pictures of us. She’ll probably ask for actual pictures when we get back home,” you chuckled.
He smiled, “I love pictures!” “Great. She’ll already love you then. Um, let’s see. Oh, I haven’t lived in Queens my whole life. My family moved here four years ago because of my mom’s job,” you said.
“Where did you live before?” He asked. “London,” you answered.
“Woah, seriously? But you don’t have an accent.”
“My parents don’t either. I never really picked up on it since my parents don’t speak with a British accent.”
“That’s so cool. And you said your life is boring.”
“Well, I think it is,” you shrugged. “So, what else is there to know about you?” He asked.
“Well, I have a best friend named Gwen. You kinda met her through text.”
“Oh, your “awesome best friend”?” He quoted the text.
You grinned, “That’s her. She’s seriously awesome, though. She asked me to be her friend the very first time I started school. She didn’t have a friend, either, despite living her whole life. She said she never really fit in anywhere and that she didn’t like anybody, until she met me, of course. I’m really thankful she didn’t have any friends, actually. Otherwise we wouldn’t have become friends. She’s been with me through thick and thin. I trust her with my life.”
Peter smiled, “That’s great. I’m like that with Ned.”
“It’s great to have one friend like that.”
He nodded, “It is. What else? What are your favorite movies, books, food?”
“Well, I love Harry Potter. My favorite movie is The Holiday starring Cameron Diaz and Jude Law. Um, I like potatoes in any form. They’re awesome. I have this sloth I sleep with every night that I’ve had since I was a baby. I can kind of play piano and I like to draw.”
“That’s so cool.” He stared at you with stars in his eyes. You smiled sheepishly. “Thank you.”
“Are you going to go to college for art?”
“Not sure. I don’t really know what I want to be yet.” You bit your lip nervously.
“Well, you still have like, two years to decide. I bet you’d be an awesome graphic designer.”
“Thank you. Man, you’re like, full of compliments,” you laughed.
“Sorry, is it making you uncomfortable?” He asked worriedly.
You took his hand that was resting on the table. You stared into his brown eyes, trying not to get lost in them. You shook your head, apologizing profusely.
“No, no, I’m just not used to a lot of compliments. I don’t really know how to react when I get a lot.”
“Me, too. I like giving out compliments, though. Especially when it’s to a girl I really like.”
You giggled, “Well, I appreciate them. Especially when they’re from a guy I really like.”
“Oh, really?” He asked, ears growing warm and pink again.
“Mhm,” you hummed with a smile. He returned the smile, looking back at his food shyly. You kept your hand in his for the rest of dinner. You two sat right next to each other in the taxi as soon as held hands as you walked into the movie theater.
Halfway through the movie you laid your head on his shoulder. It was only eight at night, but you were already growing tired. You cuddled up next to Peter, enjoying the warmth he provided in the cold room.
Peter kept glancing at you. He had never had a girl that wasn’t a relative this close to him. He wasn’t sure what to do. He didn’t want to put his arm around you and make you uncomfortable. He wanted to hold you close to him, though. He wanted to kiss your head and smell your coconut and vanilla shampoo and just stare at you instead of watching the movie. You looked so beautiful in the dim light. He wondered how anyone could look so pretty.
He took a chance and wrapped his arm around you. He set his hand on the middle of your back and pulled you as close as he could. You stiffened, but quickly relaxed as you shifted in your seat and moved closer to him. You wrapped your arm around his back, holding him tightly to you. You buried your head in his neck, looking up at him and admiring his face.
He had perfect bone structure. Perfect lips, nose, jawline. He was so pretty. You swore you could stare at him for hours if he’d let you.
“I forgot if I told you, but I really like your outfit. Green looks good on you,” he whispered.
You smiled, “Thank you. It’s new.”
“You bought it for me?” He asked. “I wanted something new to wear to my first date with Spider-Man,” you explained.
He chuckled, “Well, I’m flattered.” “Good,” you hummed.
“You’re really pretty. I’m sorry I keep saying that, but it’s true. I-I’ve never been this close to a girl before, and I just can’t stop staring at you. Ugh, that sounded so weird. I’m sorry. God, I’m so weird, I —”
You cut him off with a kiss. It surprised both of you. You had been looking at his lips the whole time he was speaking and decided to take a chance. It was perfect timing.
You pulled away after a few seconds. You didn’t want to get too carried away in public. Peter’s eyes fluttered open and a big smile lit up his face. He was thankful it was dark in the room, otherwise, you would see how pink his face was.
“It’s not weird. And you’re not weird. Thank you. I appreciate you. You’re really cute,” you said.
His smile grew impossibly wider. His cheeks were starting to hurt. “Thank you,”
You hummed happily, setting your head back in his shoulder. You two watched the movie cuddling. Everything was so perfect, you forgot all about Miles and the small heartbreak you had endured.
You two were at your front door. Awkwardness grew between you two once again.
“I had a really great time,” he said. You smiled, “I did, too. Thank you for taking me out and paying for everything.”
“It was my pleasure, really.”
Your eyes flickered down to his lips as you stood there. The kiss in the movie theater only lasted for a few seconds. It was nothing more than a peck. You wondered how it would feel to really kiss him.
Without any warning, you leaned in and kissed him. Peter stood stunned for a few seconds. You were about to pull away and run away when his arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you close. Your hands weaved through his soft hair and you pressed your body against his.
It felt like the whole world was spinning and you two were the only ones standing still.
For not kissing anyone before you, he was an excellent kisser. His lips moved against yours expertly. The kiss got more and more intense and passionate as each second passed. You two found a good rhythm and kissed each other for as long as your lungs allowed.
Peter pulled away, panting with his chest heaving up and down. Your eyes opened and you smiled immediately. You laughed as you saw your lipstick smudged all over his lips. You put your hand up to his face and cupped his cheek as you wiped away the lipstick with your thumb.
“Sorry,” you chuckled. “No worries.” He licked his lips. “Tastes like strawberry.”
“That is the lipstick flavor,” you nodded.
He still looked star-struck. You couldn’t help but laugh. He was so cute.
“I should get going,” you said. “Yeah, yeah. Totally,” he nodded.
“Text me when you get home?” You asked.
“I will. Definitely. Goodnight, Y/n,” he smiled.
You smiled back, “Goodnight, Peter.”
You went into your apartment, smiling widely as you closed the door behind you. You rushed into your room, quietly shutting the door and laying down on your bed.
You picked up Peter’s letter, smiling as you read it again. You got up from your bed and went to your desk. You got out a piece of paper. You decided to write him a love letter of your own.

summary ↠ you work the closing shift at a bakery and Spider-Man makes a habit of appearing at 9.45pm to walk you home.
word count ↠ 3.7k
warnings ↠ a lil bit of angst/hurt and comfort. minor descriptions of injury. a bit of swearing, but this is mostly fluff.
a/n ↠ I really loved writing this one. I felt so happy the whole time and ! I am very excited for people to read it, so I hope you enjoy it :)) I’ve also recently redone my taglist, so if you’re interested in that, it should be linked at the bottom of the post. feedback always appreciated!
THE BAKERY YOU WORK AT is one of New York’s hidden gems. Tucked away beneath a level of luxurious townhouses, the small space is covered in vintage artwork, bright leafy plants, and warm exposed lightbulbs that cast a web of kaleidoscopic light across the space. Your regulars love the way it’s their secret, love the way it’s as if they’re walking into their own secret hiding space every time they creep down the green metal staircase and walk in through the jangling door, and you love the way it’s like a little community revolves around the place. The air is always alight with the scent of fresh pastries and sound of relaxed laughs, and there really isn’t anywhere else you’d rather escape to after school.
You always work the closing shift on weekdays, slipping down into the shop at 5pm and locking up at 10pm. It’s always the quietest hours for the bakery - the best loaves of bread and the most perfectly iced cupcakes are always snatched up by commuters in the morning, so the only groups of people who wander into the bakery when you’re there are those on the lookout for discounted baked goods. It’s always relaxed, and as the hours creep by, more than often you find yourself being paid to sit behind the counter and read a book than actually deal with any customers, so it’s a winning combination all around.
Your job at the bakery is normal and unassuming. That is, until the night Spider-Man stumbles into your shop.

“Hey?”
You looked up from your textbook, smiling at a tired Natasha who was leaning against the door,” You good there?”
Your oldest sister just gave you a tired smile,” Yeah, hectic mission is all. The mission report was a snooze.”
You got up and gave her a hug, hoping to make her feel better,” Did you want anything?”
“Oh, yeah. Lena asked me to call you for dinner.”
Natasha moved away from you and was about to head towards her room when you looked at her with furrowed brows,” You aren’t joining us?”
The redhead turned slightly and shook her head lightly,” No, I think I’ll retire for the night. Told Lena to leave the leftover in the fridge if I felt hungry later.”
You were about to protest before your phone rang.
When you saw who it was, you cut the call a little too quickly which caused Natasha to look at you weirdly,” Who was that?”
You looked up at her, eyes slightly wider because you thought she had already left the corridor,” Oh, it was just spam don’t worry.”
The ex-assassin looked at you for a second longer, trying to shake the feeling that you were lying and shrugging the thought away to her being tired which made her a little too hyper-aware of her surroundings.
You sighed to yourself before making your way to the dining table.

Yelena was attending to the garden at the back of the house when the doorbell rang.
“Y/n/n! Can you please open door please?”
“On it!’
You ran down the stairs and opened the door, smiling in amusement when you saw who it was.
“Good morning, ma’am. I hope you are having a lovely day” the boy dressed in a postman’s outfit smiled toothily.
“Well, it is now” you smiled, looking towards the glass door that led to the back for a second before quickly sneaking in a peck.
“Aww, is that all I get?” the boy pouted.
“For now, yes Mr. Parker” you smiled teasingly,” You got some nerve showing up here. What if it was my sister who opened the door?”
Peter just raised his eyebrow as if he saw this question coming,” Well my lovely girlfriend, I was sitting on that tree over there waiting for the right opportunity “
“That’s some commitment right there” you acknowledged.
“Y/n why are we sneaking around like this? I can handle your sisters.” Peter slightly whined.
You leaned against the door and just raised your eyebrow.
“Ok, maybe they intimidate a little too much and I nearly shit my pants when I’m near them, especially now that I’m dating their baby sister secretly. But still!”
You just chuckled at the boy before giving him another quick peck,” Soon Parker”
“Y/n who was it?” you hear Yelena’s voice nearing so you quickly shut the door before the blonde appeared.
“No one. Just some postman who was asking about an address near-by. Apparently got lost.” You smile slightly before making an excuse to go back to your room.
Yelena narrowed her eyes at you before looking out the window at the receding image of the postman.

A couple nights later, Yelena and Natasha were in the kitchen, trying to cook a Russian recipe their mother used to cook them when they were kids.
But both also had other things on their minds.
“Lena” “Tasha”
Both called out in unison.
They looked at each other and stopped cooking for a second before collectively looking up at the ceiling, above which was where your room was.
“You too?” Natasha asked, Yelena nodding.
“Something’s going on…”
Both finished cooking before tip-toeing to your room. They stood in front your door, trying to listen to anything on the inside.
“Should we be doing this though?” Yelena whispered, feeling slightly guilty about spying on their sister. Natasha seemed to realize the same thing and sighed.
“You are right. Let’s go.”
Just as the two were about the leave, a loud crash came from inside your room, causing them to panic.
They barged inside, in fright of something happening to you only to see Peter Parker hanging from the ceiling upside down with you hands on his cheeks, both looking at the door with wide eyes, caught red handed.
“What the fuck…..” Natasha let out, while Yelena just stood with her mouth hanging open.

Here you were, in the living room. All four of you sitting together, Natasha and Yelena side by side on the sofa and you and Peter occupying the other.
It was awkward, to say the least.
You nervously looked between your sisters, trying to deduce who would be the first one to pounce on your boyfriend so that you could push him out of the way.
Honestly that was all you were worried about. Peter’s safety. From your own sisters.
Natasha sighed, closing her eyes for a moment before looking both of you in the eye,” How long has this been going on?”
Peter looked at you and decided to answer,” uh, about 2 months, ma’am.”
Now Natasha looked at you,” and you didn’t bother telling us?”
Yelena just stayed silent, looking at Peter as if trying to decide how to murder the boy and letting Natasha do all the talking.
“See, I did. But it was so new, still is. I wasn’t sure how it would end and since you personally work in a team with him, I didn’t want things going south just because things didn’t work out between us.” You explained, finally realizing how this stunt could’ve hurt your sisters.
You hadn’t thought of that exactly.
“But that doesn’t mean you don’t tell us” Natasha argued, though her voice remained soft. You gulped seeing the hurt inside her eyes,” What if something extremely bad had happened? No offense Peter, but you need to see where I’m coming from here.”
Peter readily agreed with her,” Oh don’t worry, I actually agree with you. We should’ve been more responsible about this and not sneaked around.”
Natasha stopped speaking at that, her eyes scanning the boy before looking back at you,” You promise not to hide anything from us from now on?”
You nodded immediately,” Yes. I will. I was going to, believe me. But I just needed to be sure if this would work out just for a little while, more than a fling so that it didn’t complicate things.”
Natasha nodded,” You are a good kid Peter. I hope you maintain that image with us.”
“For your own good.” Yelena glared, still apprehensive.
Peter gulped as he nodded.
“Alright, who wants ice cream?” Natasha asked, causing you and Peter to look at her in surprise.
She smirked at that reaction before leaning back on the sofa,” Well, my baby sister is in a relationship for the very first time, I think that calls for a dessert.”
She got up,” Y/n can you help me carry the bowls please?”
You didn’t really get much of a choice as your oldest sister pulled you up and dragged you to the kitchen.
Yelena waited for you two to disappear before looking at Peter. The Spiderman didn’t know what it was but the stare unnerved him a little too much.
Yelena stood in front of him and bent down to meet his eyes level,” I hear a peep of her cries relating even remotely to you being the reason, you better start counting your days. You understand me?”
The blonde stepped back and smiled at the sweating boy,” Welcome to the family, Spiderman.”
