Major authors like Alexander McCall Smith and Joyce Carol Oates can sell around 100 titles at Mt. Lebanon Public Library.

Wrote this last week for Forbes online for National Library Week.

Lifelong learning. Everyday is a new adventure and lesson.

Reblog if you are aware you still have far to go in your craft.

Even after years of practicing, I still feel like I have only begun to scratch the surface.

Barnes and Noble: Our sales are down. What can we do?

employees: maybe cut back on corporate pay, decrease spending on new signage and secret shoppers, invest in better website design, reduce part-time positions so we can bring back full-time section specialists to handsell--

B&N: LET'S FIRE EVERYONE WHO UNBOXES BOOKS

employees: no, wait

B&N: EXTRA POINTS IF THEY'VE WORKED HERE TEN YEARS OR LONGER

employees: that fixes literally nothing

B&N: THEN WE'LL TELL EVERYONE IT'S AMAZON'S FAULT, GIVE OURSELVES MILLION DOLLAR BONUSES, AND CALL IT A DAY

Sometimes people think they know you. They know a few facts about you, and they piece you together in a way that makes sense to them. And if you don’t know yourself very well, you might even believe that they are right. But the truth is, that isn’t you. That isn’t you at all

Thank You Justice Sotomayor (joined By RBG) For Giving Voice To Those Of Us Appalled By Where Our Country

Thank you Justice Sotomayor (joined by RBG) for giving voice to those of us appalled by where our country finds itself right now. History will not look kindly upon this time, but it’s up to us to steer it in a new direction. #NoMuslimBanEver

People be “woke”!

I don’t often get political… but something has happened

I Don’t Often Get Political… But Something Has Happened

Trump. He and his administration are trying to change the law so that whatever gender you were “born as” is your unchangeable sex/gender.

I Don’t Often Get Political… But Something Has Happened

[1.4 MILLION AMERICANS]

This is from a new New York Times article, regarding the technicalities of what has been said. They go even further to discuss what they accurately call “biggest battlegrounds” for transgender students: the bathrooms and locker rooms.

I Don’t Often Get Political… But Something Has Happened

We can’t be quiet about this. They are trying to erase who we are. To make it so that we just DON’T EXIST. As a transgender male who lives in America, this scares the shit out of me.

As I said, I don’t normally get political on my blog, but you all need to know about this.

don’t let this happen

The sign of high quality is the fact the book was banned by the government. Trash literature NEVER EVER had any troubles with the law.
