DEANâS POV
âi just need a little time.â Her voice rang sharp in the bunker and left us all stunned. Mom wanted to leave us. Mom wanted to leave me. I felt Y/n hitched her breath and tried to control a sob. She hid behind me like she was a little girl again. Mom looked at me with wide eyes and came to comfort me but I couldnât. I couldnât let her touch me instead I looked back at the floor hoping for the ground to open up and swoop me in. She picked up Dadâs journal and walked towards Sam.Â
âI love you.â She said âAll of you.âÂ
She looked at Y/n and smiled which she returned half heatedly. She turned her back and walked out of the door. The noise which the door made was unbearable. It sounded like something me was abandoning me. It was the same sound I had heard numerous times when Dad left to go on a hunt Knowing very well that both my siblings would comfort me I walked back into my room.
 Y/NâS POVÂ
I watched as my eldest brother ran back to his room. I knew how he felt, he adored mom. She was a woman that he had always put on a pedestal and the pedestal was so high and so sacred that no one could match up to it. I looked back at Sam who was still staring at the door with which Mary had recently departed and suddenly the big sister mode in me kicked in and I walked towards my taller though younger brother and hugged him tightly from behind and as soon as I had hugged him a dam broke from within Sam and he started sobbing earnestly in my arms. I lowered him on the floor and let him sob out his broken heart.
âWhy?â âWhy on earth did she leave us?â he bawled
i shushed him gently and planted a kiss on his head.
âShe just needs some time Sammy, thatâs all.â
âY/n/n, you and I both know that is bullshit! Why are we never enough for anybody?â saying that my younger brother started bawling again and all i could to comfort him was hold him tight and thatâs what i did.Â
After an hour or so of crying, he was so exhausted that he went to sleep right there. Knowing that I would not be able to move him without waking him up I gently moved out from under his head and went to fetch his blanket and pillow. I placed the pillow under his head and tucked the blanket around. When I stood up my twin was standing there with his red rimmed eyes. He sighed in an exhaustive fashion and went back to his room quietly.
I knew Dean. I knew his emotions and his facial expressions. I knew everything about him. I was his twin. it was both of our jobs to look after Sammy. I dabbed his knee after a hunt and he dabbed my head. So I knew not approach him but the concern part in me just wouldnât give up. So I went up to his room and entered without knocking. Dean was sitting on the ground with silent tears rolling down his face.Â
âYou know you are exactly like Mom.â he said in a hoarse voice. âBut the only difference is that you take care.â Â
âDean..â I stared but he interrupted loudly.
âNo Y/n/n! Just No! I am sick and tired of people who are supposed to act like our bloody parents but have just given up on the job. First it was Dad and now itâs Mom. And i am tired of making excuses for them. I am tired of not only their lies but I am tired of lying to myself. I am just tired.â With that he banged his hand on the floor and his head at the edge of the bed.Â
DEANâS POV
After breaking down in front of my sister I wiped away my tears angrily. I watched as she walked and sat down next to me. I expected her to again reassure me that things werenât the way I was perceiving them but she just picked up my hand kissed the back of it. I looked at her and saw that she was on the verge of breaking down. Y/n NEVER breaks down but now I was seeing it before my eyes as she put her hand on her mouth and as her breath hitched. She put her head on my shoulder and started crying quietly.Â
The feeling I experienced is what people call âheart breakâ. I was angry at seeing my little sister in pain. I was angry at my mom because she had caused this pain. She had put the burden on my shoulders as well as hers and now I could see she was tired too.Â
âWhy donât they love us?â she asked quietly.
And there it was, the question each of us were looking an answer to. So I closed my eyes kissed her forehead deeply. I loved her and my brother so much and I was tired of the world for hurting us.
âHey Kiddo.â I said gentlyÂ
âDonât cry. We will get past this as we have each other. The three of us are a team and I am so proud of you for looking out for us. But sometimes you need to take care of yourself too. So come on now you and I are bunking together.â
I helped her get in my bed and wiped away her tears with my thumb. I climbed on the other side and pulled her closer. I started stroking her gently so she would calm down. I could still see that she was crying. She suddenly turned and around and kissed me on the cheek.Â
âI love you Dean. You are the best brother everâ
At that my eyes pricked with tears. The happy ones and I kissed her head.Â
âI love you too kiddo. You are the sweetest twin everâ She smiled at that and turned away to face her side.Â
âCome on now sleep! We have to pull a prank at 6â˛4 monster who is sleeping on the floor tonight before he wakes up in the morning. â
She chuckled at that and closed her eye.Â
We will be fine as long as we have each other.
THE END !!

You were pulling yourself from the ground. The fist of a girl a grade above you had slammed into your shoulder, and the prying hands of her groupies had shoved you to the ground. You stood up with a slight stagger, and shook your limbs to knock your instincts to tear her throat out off. She smiled devilishly at you, and you could hear your Dadâs voice in your head. Y/N be brave for me, and remember you are the thing that holds those two boys together. The crowd around you was watching, and hanging on to every quiver your bruised limbs made. Thatâs when your hands shook, and you could hear their laughter as loud as the ringing in your ears. You saw his face, his eyes, his smile. He was gone now, and you were alone. He wouldnât come driving up in his impala, he wouldnât come save you from this, or help clean you up. You were not going to let him down though, you would continue to hold everything together. You would stay strong, and keep your brotherâs heads above the bloody water. You would not create chaos or pain. You were going to continue to be the good girl, and push your emotions down. You were going to be strong without your father. You went to pick up your bag.
âWhatâs the matter Winchester? Do you feel a little scared, want to run home to Daddy, you little-,â you suddenly looked up to face her. Her preciously lined lips, with her plastic shaped nose, and perfectly placed hair. You couldnât hear anything else except that one word. Daddy. Anger lined your skin with a new found red that wasnât the shade of bruised. You charged at her, and brought her straight to the ground. You jammed your fist into her gut, and whipped the knife out of your boot. You popped the blade up into sight as you finally regained your senses. She was screaming, and someone was pulling you off her. You quickly pushed the others off, and grabbed your bag. You ran off the school steps, and looked back. Teachers and supervisors were calling after you. Your body hurt from the beating you had taken, and tears stung your eyes. You stopped when you were little ways down the road. You slid the knife back into your boot, and placed your bag on your shoulders. You winced once the strap touched where she had thrown her fist. You took a breath, trying to calm your beating hard. The memory helped intensify the panic however, and you continued to walk down the road.
You replayed the images of the scene in your head. You had desperately tried to make friends, and get good grades. You were supposed to make your brothers happy and they seemed happy when you had those aspects of school in your life; after all, your life mission was to please your family. Your Dad had always said you were their care taker, and the glue that held them together. After he had passed, you tried harder than ever to please your brothers. You were the only one who hadnât talked about your fatherâs death, whether that be to keep him alive in your mind, or to show how strong you were to your older brothers was unknown. You were supposed to be good, and you were supposed to be brave, like your father had said. You had failed today, and you let the rage of pain and anger flow through you and control your actions.
You were trying to dry your eyes as you entered the motel room. Your brothers were out, interview day was today. They were on a pretty tough case, and you three would be held up in this town for a few weeks. You went straight to the bathroom, looking at your bruised body. You slowly removed the clothes surrounding your bruises, and rinsed the blood off some of the scrapes. You were crying again, making the scar around your eye even more red. You slowly put on your clothes after bandaging up your injuries. You were in a lot of pain, and your eyes just wanted to close in exhaustion from the emotions and events of the day. You continued though, your fatherâs words echoing in your head. You had to be strong for Sam and Dean, and you had to hide what had happened. You emerged from the bathroom, and sat at the table. You pulled out your books, and papers.
You were trying to focus, but you had no strength to control the thoughts running through your head. You couldnât go back to that school tomorrow. You couldnât even face the outside world, and barely the one face you saw in the mirror. You had a handle on your tears, and continued to push through and finish your math problems. You were in the middle of an essay when your brothers walked through the door. âHey bunny,â Sam smiled. Dean dropped a bag next to your pile of books. You kept your face away from the light, and their vision lines. You continued writing, with the intention of greeting them but no words would form on your tongue. You heard your Dadâs voice in Samâs, and Deanâs hand reminded you of your Dadâs hand. The brothers curiously tried to look at your face, but you just looked in the downward direction even more. âY/N, look at me,â Dean said, starring at you from the other side of the table. You quickly tried to make an escape to the bathroom but Sam stepped in front of you, and grabbed your face. His eyes widened, and you felt his body tense. Dean came around, and instant anger flashed into his green eyes. âWho did this to you?â he demanded. You shook your head and pushed Samâs hands away. You had no ability to create sentences. Your Dad flashed into your mind.
âY/N, what happened?â Sam asked, slightly demanding. You wished your dad were there, able to hold you, and help you regain the stick you needed to hold everything together. You looked back at your brothers, whoâs faces held so much of your father. You started crying, and felt the sobs shake you inside and out. You were letting go. The grip you had on all the pain and grief of your fatherâs death suddenly escaping through the two little slits in your eyes. âI, I,â you started. The two brothers were suddenly shocked at this new emotion. âI miss Dad,â you cried out. Sam had tears in his eyes, as Dean starred at you in a helpless gaze. They both wrapped their bodies around yours. You were between them, and the warmth of their concern was making the tears come more rapidly. You werenât supposed to be crying.
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
You were sitting on Samâs lap as Dean knelt beside you. Your sobs had slowed and your eyes only watered now. The tears had made the cut around your eye painful, but in a cleansing way. âLittle girl, youâre gonna be fine. Me and Sammy, we arenât going anywhere, and Dad will always be looking out for you,â Dean stroked your cheek. You closed your eyes and snuggled into Sam a little more. âYouâre okay Y/N/N,â Sam cooed. âSammy, De?â you called out. âYeah baby?â Sam asked. âIâm so sorry,â you wiped your eyes, forgetting about the cut, and hissing. âNo, darlinâ weâre sorry,â Dean responded, getting up to get things to tend your cut. âBut I-,â you started. âNo buts, baby you are so strong, and you never ever break. Youâre allowed to snap sometimes. Youâre allowed to have emotions and to feel sad. Youâre allowed to miss Dad,â Sam said, stroking your hair. You nodded. âEven though you have some nasty scars, I would say you won against those girls,â Dean smiled. Samâs eyes went wide, âDean she almost sliced a girl with a weapon she wasnât even supposed to have!â. Dean looked to you, as you shrunk a little. âEh, you were always a Daddyâs girl, and he wouldâve done the same,â he smiled.

After your mother had died in a horrid hit and run, your father Dean and uncle Sam did everything that they possibly could to keep you in their custody. They were unprepared for the wrath of your mothers parents back in Italy.Â
You were six years old and the light of your fathers life. You helped to keep his head in line and you were the final thread of his sanity. Even your uncle Sam benefited from the love you shared. You were their hope and everything more.
It was not to last.
â
Your dad knew your mother well, besides the one night stand. She had kept him in your life from the moment that she was made aware of her pregnancy. Heâd always told himself heâd be unable to be a father but the second he laid his eyes on you, he experienced a love like no other.Â
Your uncle Sam was primarily angry about the whole situation. Being the former black sheep of the family, he recognised the draw backs of having a hunter for a parent and didnât want you to feel left behind or forgotten, even if it meant never having a father. Yet, when Dean brought you home for the first time, Samâs only instinct was to hold you close and kiss your rosey cheeks.Â
Of course, when your mother became aware of the Winchester lifestyle, she wanted to place your under her wing and you protect you from whatever was out there until your final breath. But, as she recognised the fact that monsters werenât the only dangers in life and that a threat could be a person walking by in the street, she reluctantly opened up to the idea of occasional weekend visits.Â
They were not to be forever.
â
Years had now passed since your first âsleepover at daddyâs houseâ when you were eight months, and now you were dropped off every Friday that your dad could take you and picked up on the Sunday night. It was in most cases, the light of your week.Â
âDaddy!â You squealed, running into the arms of your bear of a father.Â
â(Y/N)â He squealed back in the same tone, spinning you round.Â
Once he placed you down you tackled Samâs leg, still not being able to reach his waist. âHow are you still so tiny at six?â Sam would joke, ruffling your hair.
âYouâre too big.â Youâd cutely defend yourself, poking him in the knee.Â
Cas was an odd one to you. You knew he wasnât the same as your mum, dad or uncle but you strongly aware of the fact that he was the same as family.Â
âHello Cassie.â Youâd say in his voice, mimicking the gravel sound he made.Â
âHello (Y/N)â Cas would say in a formal voice, oblivious to the fact that you were six and your manners came from your father (so they were non-existent).
A majority of your weekend consisted of playing hide and seek with your dad and uncle, confusing Castiel with board games your mum had packed in your suitcase, cooking with Sam and dancing to rock music with your dad.Â
It was the most fun you had. Yes, your mother made you laugh and giggle with her tickle attacks but to you, nothing beat at weekend at Dadâs.
That was until your mothers death.
â
You were playing in your bedroom while your mother watched reality TV in the living room. She yawned and stretched her stiff bones; working three jobs often wore her out and brought her to her tether but seeing you waiting at the school gates to be picked up and talk about your day made everything worth it.Â
That day, she planed on finally buying you the purple trainers youâd wanted for god knows how long. When your mothers best friend came round to watch you for a couple of hours, your mum came into your bunny-decorated room and placed a kiss on your forehead.Â
âBe good.â She said, before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.Â
âYou too.â You responded, sharing a toothy grin at the sight of her smile.Â
That would be the last ever moment you shared with your mother.Â
âÂ
Sheâd been crossing the road when the local drunk decided to swerve to the other side of the road to avoid the traffic lights, knocking your mother off her path.Â
When Dean received the call from your motherâs best friend to rush to the hospital, he felt a weight of guilt as he was unable to as he was on the other side of the country, following up on a case.Â
Sadly, your motherâs best friend had to explain that your mum had passed and it wasnât until two nights after that you became wrapped up in your fatherâs arms.Â
âIâm so sorry baby.â Your dad said softly, tucking you as close as he could into his chest as he laid down in your bed in the bunker. âIâm sorry I wasnât there.âÂ
âItâs ok daddy.â You whispered out through tears and snuggling into your dad, not truly understanding why your dad was apologising. Your innocence often warmed your fathers soul, but tonight, it only layered the guilt.Â
Heâd let you down, and not for the last time.
â
When it came to custody, your uncle and father thought that there was no doubt about it and that even though their lifestyle was dangerous, theyâd have no worries about having to suffer the loss of you been taking away. They could not have been more wrong. Â
When your grandparents came from Italy to attend the funeral of your mother, the looks and comments they gave your father and uncle set out the path for a bitter battle for you.
It began withe small acts - asking who you preferred staying with (grandma and grandad or dad and sam), questioning you on what time dad put you to bed or what he put in your school lunches. It quickly escalated to your grandmother keeping a record of when your dad was late to pick you up or when your uncle lost track of you as you played in the park.Â
After a while, you father and uncle were told by social services that you could no longer stay in the bunker and that you had to stay with your grandparents for five out of the seven days of the week as Deanâs parenting style was deemed unsuitable âduring a period of grief for a childâ.
âBut sheâs mine.â Your father would growl every time your grandfather came to pick you up on the Sunday night.
âNo, she was our daughters.â Your grandfather would always respond, luring you out of the bunker.
Like normal, your father would bite back his words and tears as his hugged you goodbye, the separation hurting him more and more with each end to each visit. However, one day, an argument broke out and compared to normal, Sam was not able to prevent Dean from lashing out and pushing your grandfather, thus causing his hip to give out and the police to be called.
Then, the four were summoned for the court date.
â
During the wait, youâd being staying with your grandparents for over a month and when you saw your father and uncle, you attempted to run towards them and be picked up and span round as you usually would be when they saw you. Sadly, your grandmother pulled you back and into the court room, your fathers smile fading from his face.Â
The court trial dragged on for several hours as each guardian involved recited their reasons to have custody over you. When it was your turn to recite what it was like staying at your dads on a podium which was far to high for you, you glanced at your dad and uncle and sent them the biggest smile you could. They responded with even larger ones.
âSo, (Y/N), whatâs it like staying at daddyâs?â Your grandparents lawyer asked you as sweetly as possible. You didnât like her.
âAwesome.â You simply responded, earning a chuckle on your uncleâs behalf.
âI mean, what do you guys do to have fun?â That question would lead to the ban on your father and uncle ever seeing you again.
All you had done was answer honestly.Â
â
âI donât understand why I canât see my daddy!â You cried, pushing your grandmother away from you.
âYou know why my sweetie! Taking you out shooting, making up all the nonsense about Castiel being an angel and the moving around - oh my goodness - what kind of parent does that!â Sheâd cry in answer to your question, throwing up her arms to be dramatic.Â
The final time in which your father was given permission to see you was at the airport before your flight to your new life in Italy. You didnât quite comprehend the fact that you were never going to see them again and as far as you were concerned, you were simply going on holiday.
So, when your grandmother and grandfather watched like hawks as your father and uncle approached you, tears dwelling in their eyes, you only wanted to comfort them.
Sam gave you the best and biggest hug he could manage, never wanting to let you go. You returned it as well as you could, anything to make them feel better. âItâs only a holiday Sammy.â You sweetly explained, playing with the ends of his hair as he brought himself down to your level, hands running over your cheeks. âI know. Promise youâll be good and wont forget me?â Sam asked. âOf course I wont silly!â You stated. He returned with an emotional but weak smile.
When your father kneeled down, you could recognise the pain in his eyes. âWhatâs wrong daddy?â You asked, becoming upset at the sight of his tears. âNothing baby, I just donât like it when you go away.â He barely managed to choke out, running his fingers through your short locks as you wrapped your arms around his neck. âIâm always with you.â You comforted him, placing a kiss to his cheek.Â
Just like the first time he met you, he placed a kiss to your forehead. âI love you.â He uttered, sitting up as your grandmother moved forward to take you away.
âRight back at you!â You yelled out through a laugh as your grandmother took your hand and pulled you towards the terminal.Â
As you waved and turned around, not realising that youâd never see your father or uncle again, Dean replayed the words in his head as much as he could.
âIâm always with you.â
This is amazinggg!! It sounds soooo interesting . Can't wait for the next part đđ

âDad câmon youâre being ridiculous!â You tried to keep your composure and not shout at him but he had turned his back to you opening the fridge searching for a cold beer, taking a deep breath you tried again.
âYou do get how ridiculous it is that you physically put me in a position where i have to kill something so that it doesnât kill me, but iâm not allowed to go to the movies with a cute guy right? Like that is insane!â Your response brought a snort from Dean sitting up on the kitchen counter that earned a glare from John as you stared him down âWhatâs so funny De?â
He looked down clearly uncomfortable that his dad was silently telling him to keep out of it âNothing I just wouldnât describe Jack as cuteâ He grinned back at you before earning another warning look from his dad. At this moment your dad shut the fridge and handed a beer to his friend John sighing that he had to have this conversation with you infront of John and his sons.
âThatâs not ridiculous monsters are easy guys are not, i donât want you going out with Jack or Josh or whoever, my house my rulesâ He spoke flatly holding out a hand to end the conversation which only angered you more.
âDad this isnât even a house itâs a motel room with 2 beds and 5 people!â Your words were dripping with sarcasm, your eyes widening at how frustrating this situation was. âItâs not like this is a household brimming with adult supervision and Dean went out with that âcheerleaderâ 2 weeks ago and no one said a word about that!â
âThatâs different, if John says he can date he can date i say you canât so you canât. Youâre only just 16 youâre not going out with some teenage boy!â Your fathers eyes were staring right at you, he was trying so hard not to get angry but his voice was starting to waver.
âOh my god but why not?!â You challenged petulantly, you could tell he was getting angry but he wasnât going to act on it infront of John and his boys which just drew more courage in you.
âBecause boys only want one thing!â He shot at you violently making John nod in agreement âThat is true Y/Nâ Dean was reacting to your fathers tone eyeing you up carefully wanting you just to end this conversation but you continued to challenge, their new argument just caused a burning in you.
Trying to collect your thoughts you sat down at the table with the men and slowly responded âDad, just because they want something doesnât mean that theyâre automatically going to get it does it? I do have a say in my own decisions and if youâre both suddenly so worried about this why arenât you stopping Dean from dating then? If youâre so worried about teenage boys actions then why donât you address it with them and help the problem instead of telling girls to just hide away.â
The stubborness but eloquence of your challenge made the grown men stop for a minute as John leaned back with a small smile, a look of pride softening his face leaving Mark choking over his own words as Dean assessed the situation with worry in his eyes. You had never spoken to them in a way that earned almost some respect from John and Dean was wary of the uncertainty of the situation.
After almost a minute of silence John was the first to speak as he leaned forward with a small chuckle reaching for his beer âWell sweetheart you got us thereâ Looking over to Mark he was eager to see what his reaction would be, you could physically see the clogs turning in his brain as he could finally see your logic but his instinct of how much danger there was in the world clung to him.
âI donât know Y/N. You two go get dinner and iâll think about it.â His voice was heavy and his brain was in overdrive but you were thrilled at the response and gave dean a smile biting your tongue as he jumped off the counter to join you wrapping an arm around you his face gleaming with amusement and pride of how you handled the situation. You two wasted no time leaving the motel laughing with eachother as soon as the door was shut making your way to the pizza place.
On the other side of the door Mark groaned loudly leaning his head on the table in defeat as John laughed and patted his back âMan, iâm glad mine are boysâ which elicited another deep groan into the table.
With the sun setting and the air turning cold you walked along the path huddled under Deans arm as he held you tight both beaming with the feeling of victory. Even though this battle had nothing to do with Dean he couldnât help but feel pride for you standing up to two alpha males like their parents.
It was amazing and he was grinning his eyes beaming down at you âThat was awesome! I have no idea how the hell you did that Y/Nâ His words of encouragement lifted through you and you leaned away from him almost jumping up at down as he looked adoringly at you.
âI cannot believe that i actually said what i wanted to say, usually i canât even get the words out and then of course your dad had to be there too!â
You both laughed as you walked through a pile of leaves, your happiness was so contagious it made you feel like little kids again. âOh and thanks for throwing me under the bus by the way really apreciated that!â Dean mock glared down at you shaking your arm âAnd not to burst your bubble though sweetheart but you do know that he didnât actually say that you could go right?â
âThat doesnât matter, i won an argument against my dad!â Your eyes beaming with pride as you smiled up at your best friend âAnd anyway theyâre gone again in the morning for like a week so what he doesnât know wonât hurt him!â You let out cheekily feeling so proud of yourself as Dean kissed the top of your head before he left you to run into the shop to grab the pizzas. As he returned you both animatedly carried on the conversation.
With all of the pain and scariness of your usual lives it freed you both ever so slightly just to be happy about something so fantastically trivial as teenage problems, you were both only 16 at the end of the day.
As you neared the motel you begged Dean not to bring up the conversation again, you didnât want to push it and ruin this evening and he jokingly moaned but he could never deny you,m. That look of happiness on your face was so pure he just wanted to keep you in that bliss for a little while longer.
âDinners up!â You shouted out as Dean opened the front door for you like a gentleman. Even though you were the second youngest somehow you always fell into the mother role when you were all together, even though you detested the stereotypes maybe it was because you were the only girl? You didnât always love it and honestly sometimes you were just so tired from taking care of others before yourself but itâs where you belonged, it was the role that you played in this disjointed family and you wouldnât have it any other way.
Placing the boxes on the table everyone crowded lovingly around you, John placed his hand gently on the small of your back as he leant around you which was an anomalie in your routine. Usually the older man was dark and brooding or drunk and he didnât dole out affection easily so you took it sharing a small smile with him.
Dean noticed his dad straight away shocked at his response to you and you both shared a confused but wow that was nice silent conversation. As Sammy finally put down his homework and made his way over to the table you all clambered around finding seats and he jumped up on your lap grabbing pizza eliciting a laugh from everyone as you moved to make yourself more comfortable. He was only 11 and you nestled into him wrapping your arms around his waist.
In the background Dean stood by the fridge passing out beers to the adults as he nodded to his dad asking permission âYeah just one thoughâ He responded sternly and Dean pulled his seat ever so slightly towards you and Sammy before you all sat eating a family dinner together. It was such a rare occurence and all of you felt that.
The men told old stories that got more embelished the more they drunk, Sammy gripped onto their words asking them questions and when they were disctracted Dean tapped his beer bottle on your thigh offering it to you discreetly, just a secret that the both of you shared.
The night went on and Sammy felt heavier in your lap as he leant back against you and as the men grew tired everyone retreated to claim a sleeping place. This was the only difficulty when you were all together, usually if the men hunted together they would get a room and the 3 kids would share. You in your own bed and Dean and Sammy sharing but on the occasions that they had made it home it meant that all 5 of you had to share two beds and a sofa.
Nudging Sammy awake he slid off of your lap and you tried to rush him so that you could stand and claim a bed, before you could even stand John had taken the bed closest to him and you rushed to the next one laughing victoriously as you sat on it.
Your dad was almost passed out on the sofa and Sammy was asking John if he could share with him which brought a smile to his face as he lifted the covers for the tired little boy, in moments like this you could all tell just how small he really was.
As you had all chosen your spots you left into the bathroom to take off your bra and put some sleeping shorts on in privacy while the guys all changed in the other room, it was just a small routine that you had all gotten used to.
Walking back into the room you made your way over to your bed that already had Dean sitting up in it, John was waiting for you to come back in and turned the bed side light off as you climbed into bed and cuddled up in the covers.
âYou better not kick me off the bed again Y/Nâ Dean whispered lowly to you as you tried to stifle your laugh âWell you better not wake up with a boner again then Dâ You laughed back at him catching him off guard embarassing him âShut up Y/N!â He spoke firmly before rolling over away from you only making you laugh louder.
John chuckled tiredly at your conversation before putting on his deep dad voice âEnough, go to sleepâ
You responded with a smile on your face, tonight felt different to usual nights. It felt happy and carefree, you couldnât even remember the last time John had smiled and here he was cuddling his youngest to sleep and smiling at your retorts.
Usually you and John barely spoke, you trusted him but he scared you just like your dad did, hunters were dark itâs how they had to be. Itâs how they got into this life in the first place and you understood that. Your world wasnât cuddly and fuzzy but tonight it felt just a little bit softer and you wanted to hold onto that peace knowing that it wasnât going to last forever so thatâs exactly what you did.
With your back against Deans you fell asleep feeling peaceful and content with how things were right now and what more could you ever ask for, you had what was in your view your entire family together just for one night.

Y/Nâs POV
The alarm clock rang with a shrill noise and in a classical conditioned way my hand automatically went  to smother the clock. I closed my eyes for 5 minutes more and then got out of bed with a groan. I was just in the process of getting my things when I heard Sam groan from the other bed. I walked over to his side and shook his leg.
âDude, wake up! John wants us to be there in the car in 10.â
Sam opened his eyes as best as he could and nodded at me. I looked over at the bed where my eldest brother was snoring away to glory, with a mischievous smile I went to his side and jumped on him.
âAaaaaahhhhh! Y/N!â Dean screamed at the top of his voice.
Sam was already on the floor, laughing his butt off. I looked at Dean innocently and said âHey you told me to wake you up in any way possible since you donât want your ass handed to you on platter by Dad.â
âAnd this was the best way possible!â Dean shouted.
âYeah it is very effective, you are awake and your ass is still attached with the rest of your body. I think it is a win-win situation, what do you say Sam?â
âOh I do agree, she saved you ass Dean. High-five!â Sam raised his hand to me and I high fived him with a loud noise.
Dean got out of bed and started grumbling in monotonous tone. âI hate both of you.â He picked up his bag and went to the bathroom to take his leisurely shower.
John chose that very moment to enter the room. Whenever he came in front of me I could feel the temperature drop in the room. It is not even this cold when we are hunting a ghost.
âWhat is going on in here?â His voice boomed across the small room and it sent shudders down my spine.
Sam took a deep breath and chose to confront the sergeant in front of him âWe were just getting ready Sir.â
âIt doesnât look that way to me and I am sure the culprit of this indiscipline is you girl.â
I shook my head and hid behind Sam in fear and embarrassment. But Sam seemed to be as confident as ever. âDad, Dean is in the bathroom already, we will get ready in 5 minutes and come out, it wonât take a lot of time.â
âNo, after Dean you go and get ready. Y/n will pack the car.â
âDad let her fresh-â
âIts okay Sammy.â I interrupted him. âIts extremely cold as it is, I donât really want to take a bath.â Saying this I picked up a few bags and walked out of the room. I wasnât fully out of earshot so I eavesdropped on Sam and Johnâs conversation.
âDad What the hel-â
âSam enough! Drop this topic of conversation right this minute.â
âWhy do you always treat her in such a ridiculous manner! She is your daughter for god sake!â
âShe is not my daughter and she is not your sister!â John said with a ferocious tone and immediately tear pricked the sides of my eyes and threatened to fall down on my cheeks.
I refused to listen anymore and walked out into the parking lot where the Impala was parked. I had always known that I was not a Winchester since my biological family died at the hands of a pack of vampires. I was five at the time and John was investigating the case, he couldnât protect my family but he took me in and raised me as his daughter. Dean and Sam have always treated me like their little sister and I have always looked up to them as my big brothers but I am not a Winchester and john doesnât give two hoots about me . I have no idea why has he kept me with him if he doesnât love me. He never did.
DEANâS POV
There was a slight tension in the car. I could taste it . I looked in the backseat and saw my two siblings sleeping on their respective windows. I smiled at them fondly and remembered this morningâs shenanigans. Bloody idiots.
I saw Dad look at the backseat through the rear view mirror and suddenly he shoutedâY/N!â
This caused both Y/n and Sam to wake up simultaneously.
âSir?â Y/n spoke in a timid and groggy voice.
âThis is not a holiday that we are on. Stay awake and be alert. We have a hunt tonight.â
I looked at my father with sheer astonishment. Sam was sleeping right next to her and Dad had not said a word to him.Not to mention even I dozed off for a few hours. Â
âDad she has been battling a cold and has not been able to slee-â
âI donât care Dean.â He Interrupted me. âShe needs to grow up.â
I looked at her and saw her red rimmed glassy eyes and gave her a sympathetic smile. I also noticed Sam was looking at Dad with anger in his eyes. He then turned his attention towards y/n,reached out and held her small hand in his and kissed it.
After an hour we stopped for gas at the roadside. Y/n excused herself to go to the washroom. Dad started filing up baby while Sam and I went to the local mart to get a few items. I noticed Sam was still fuming.
âWhatâs wrong Sammy?â
Sam took a deep breathe before answering. âOkay but donât freak out okay. I think the three of us should separate from dad for a while. For Y/n. He is treating her like crap and itâs really taking a toll on her.â
âYeah I saw what happened in the car. He doesnât treat her properly, but walking away from Dad is that a good idea?â
âDean, in the morning he said that Y/n is not his daughter and she is not our sister.â
I looked at him with wide eyes and a jolt of anger suddenly rose in me. âHe did what?!â
âI canât even look at him Dean. This is too much. And this is too much for Y/N/N. Please letâs go somewhere for her sake.â
âI think you are right Sammy. I think its time we prioritize her.â
We walked back towards the car and resumed our earlier seats. I cannot believe that Dad would say something like that about someone who is so sweet. Its true Y/n has always been sarcastic but sweet. She is unbelievably loyal and I love her more than my own life. If she is hurt, I will make sure that the one who caused her this hurt gets demolished. She might not be blood but she is family and more importantly she is my little sister. The one who takes care of us and loves us with her inch she has got. I canât let Dad beat her down.
Y/NâS POV
We reached the motel in the evening. All of us were exhausted but we somehow did research for another 2 hours. I even got to have a bath, a privilege I had been denied in the morning. We collected our facts and were ready for the hunt at night. I was still a little sick so I decided to bunk with Dean and close my eyes for a bit. I was still hurting over the words John had said earlier this morning but now was not the town for me throw myself a pity party.
I lied down next to dean and closed my eyes. I suddenly felt him shift as he lifted his arms and gathered me in it. I snuggled further into his chest and felt him kiss the top of my head.
Somehow and I still donât know how I started crying in his chest. Hot tears burned my eyes and rolled down my cheeks. My breath hitched and I was full on sobbing in my brotherâs chest. Dean looked down at me with concern but did not seem shocked.
âYou heard what Dad said about you didnât you?â he asked gently.
i nodded at him. Not able to trust my voice. He shoved my face is his chest and kissed my hair while stroking it gently,
âY/N, I want you to listen to me very carefully. You are my little sister. You will always be my little sister. Me and Sam love you very much and I donât even for a moment want you to think that you are not loved by us. You are family kiddo.â
I cried further in his chest while he stroked my back.
âAnd after the hunt is over. Men, you and Sasquatch are going on a holiday. Just the three of us.â
I looked up at him with pleasant surprised expression etched on my face. âReally?â
Dean smiled at me sadly and saidâYes really. We need a holiday. Now come on go to sleep we have a few vampires to kill.â
Thinking about our holiday I drifted to sleep.
GENERAL POV
The night was eerie quiet. The four Winchesters were ready with their machetes, ready to chop off the heads of any fanged thing they saw. Each of them had taken their stance as was decided prior to the hunt.
âOk everybody be very careful, these vampires are difficult to kill. Stay sharp stay focused. Dean you are with me. Sam and Y/n you will go the other direction. Y/n do not loose focus.â John ordered the three and the plan was set to unfold.
Sam and Y/n went their own way while John stayed with Dean. An hour had gone and Dean had not seen any vampire, John was also losing patience and was quite confused. Â
âDad where the hell are the bloodsuckers?â
âI honestly donât know.â John replied
Suddenly a loud shriek came from the side Y/n and Sam had ventured into. Both the elder Winchesters ran to that side only to meet Sam and Y/n halfway. Samâs arm was bleeding rapidly and Y/n had a slight head wound. Both of them were panting hard. Deanâs big brother mode came and he immediately went to check on his siblings. But john started the interrogation right away.
âWhat the hell happened and how did you get hurt so badly Sam?â
Dean was now checking Y/nâs head wound and was cradling her head in his hand.
âDad the pack somehow knew where we were going to be, they were already waiting for us. They attacked straight away and we killed as many as we could. We barely got out of there.â
Suddenly he turned his attention towards Y/n. âWhat about you miss? Why on earth is my son bleeding like this while you are still intact?â
âDAD!â Both the sons screamed at their father in fury.
âShut up both of you! You have mollycoddled her enough. Because of you my son could have died. You are really ungrateful and a ridiculous hunter. I cannot believe I took you in as my daughter.â
âOK dad that is enough!â shouted Sam. Y/n was full on crying now. She seemed to have glued her eyes to the ground.
âItâs because of her I am alive, she literally was a superhero out there. She killed 5 vamps alone and then dragged me out of there. Had it not been for her,I would have died.
Dean rose to his full height and looked at his dad straight in the eyeâYou have always treated her unfairly and I am fed up of this attitude of yours! She is my little sister and I swear I will hit you if you say a word against her.â
Y/n walked towards John and looked at him with teary eyes âDo I really mean that little to you?
John was contemplating on what to say. He knew he was harsh on her.
What happened next was totally unexpected out of nowhere a vampire jumped at John and another one jumped behind Sam and Dean. Y/n took out her machete and was ready to attack the vampire in front of her. After an intense fight when both the vampires had fallen dead. Y/n was still on the ground.
The machete that she had been holding during the fight the vamp had somehow stabbed her with it in the stomach.
DEANâS POV
I saw my sister on the ground grasping for air. I knelt beside her and gently spoke to her.
âY/n/n whatâs wrong?â
Y/n smiled tightly at us and showed us the wound on her stomach.
âOh god. Sweetheart look at me!â
Sam knelt down next to her on the other side and took off his flannel.
âHere Dean wrap her wound with this, it will stop the bleeding. Sweetie listen we need to get you to hospital. The three of us will carry you.â
Me and Sam were just about to pick her up, when she said in a timid voice.âStop I am not going to make it.â
Tears which were pricking my eyes rolled down my cheeks and I saw my own grief mirrored on Samâs face. âDonât you dare say that. You are a Winchester. You will survive.â
I noticed that Dad was frozen behind us but I couldnât care less.
She put her hand on my cheek and wiped a few of my tears. âI love you both very much. Thank you for keeping me. I was really luck to have you two as my elder brothers.
And then I broke down right there. Sam was sobbing too while holdingâs Y/nâs upper body.
âSweetheart, you canât go yet. Who will wake me up in the morning? Who will nerd out with Sam over books. You know I canât listen to him talk about books and we have to go on our holiday. You canât leave us. I love you too much. We have so much to do!â and I sobbed my heart out
Y/n smiled at us and with a shaky breath she asked me to lean forward. I did as she asked and felt her lips peck my cheek and she did the same with Sam. She looked at John and said âThank you for keeping me, I know I am not family. But you still raised me.â
With this she closed her eyes. I felt my heart break right there. Just a few hours before we were planning our holiday and now she was dead in my little brotherâs arms. My little brother who was cradling her body and whispering things to her while crying fully. He paid no attention to his arm as he cried his heart out. After all I lost my little sister and he lost his best friend.
I turned around to find John still frozen in the spot. I lounged at him and punched him in the face. âIt was because of you Dad, it because of you she felt like she is not family. I hate you!â
I then turned around and sat next to my little brother with my little sister who was not here anymore. My sarcastic sweet sister had died and I had no idea how I was going to live.
