Imagine Dean calling Sam to tell him some bad news.

A/N: Starting off Angst Appreciation Day with a short imagine.

Dean x Sister!Reader   Sam x Sister!Reader

Dean took a shuddering breath as he tried to collect himself. He didn’t know how he was supposed to call Sam; he hadn’t talked to him since he left for Stanford three years ago. Now he had to call and tell him that their baby sister was-

Shaking his head Dean tried to clear his mind, hoping that if he shook his head hard enough he’d be able to forget for a moment what happened to you.

He’d be able to forget the way you screamed his name for help.

He’d be able to forget the fear in your eyes as he tried to stop the profuse bleeding from your chest.

He’d be able to forget how you begged him to save you.

He’d be able to forget how he felt you take your last breathes.

He’d be able to forget that you were dead because he had overlooked a closet in the house you two were hunting a shifter at.

He’d be able to forget that your death was on him.

But he couldn’t, and now he was going to have to call his brother to tell him that their little sister; their barely eighteen year old sister was dead.

The last time Y/N had talked to Sam she was telling him that she had decided against going off to college so that she could stay with Dean.

She stayed because of him.

Everything was because of him.

Pressing the send button Dean held the phone up to his ear, hoping Sam wouldn’t answer but knowing he would since Dean was using your phone.

“Hey Y/N.” Sam’s voice came through the other end of the line.

“Sammy.” Dean’s voice cracked.

The phone was silent for a moment and that was when Dean knew that Sam had realized why he was getting the call.

Dean heard Sam try to suppress a sob,

“No.”

Fare thee well Supernatural

The time has come to turn to the last page of the book. To say goodbye to not only a show but a beautiful world. A world which taught us that people can make mistakes but that doesn’t define them, a world which is an epitome of sibling bonds and world who taught us the concept that family doesn’t end with blood.

Thank you supernatural! For becoming such a huge part of our lives for being their for us when we truly felt alone. For giving us a family and for always having our back. The uniqueness that each character represented, the bond that the characters shared and the beautiful beacon of light this show has become for so many of us. For 15 years of heartbreak, family, love and brothers. We thank you immensely.

There aren’t enough words in the world which will ever combine what this show means to me so here is me trying to do justice to it.

The family and the bonds we have made will continue. The times when life had taken the turn for the worse this show was there for us. I started this show when I was 12 years old and now as a 20 year old this show will take it’s last breath.

okay, so writing this particular ep took me FOREVER because i wanted to be able to portray the difference between the impact certain things had on sam vs olive and dean. it just took a while because it’s not how i’m used to writing things, but i think i sorta like the way it turned out

Summary: When Sam has another vision, the siblings set out to prevent disaster. Things don’t go as planned, and a few sharp turns are taken
