thinking about how paul mccartney spent the year 1969 putting the five stages of grief to music and no one even did a welfare check

if my family knew how much of a butch I am, I'd probably be shitting myself in a corner at family dinners right now
Paul: imagine someone thinking of you and buying you flowers
John: ok now imagine a horse as a skeleton with a blue fire mane
war will always be a bloody rubbish and useless method of seeking to be better. They do not seek to better themselves they seek to internalise and make other societies and cultures weak and then feel better in their own shit that they themselves caused. The 1900s was not the time of reflection of war and protests, the XXI century is, all the shit that was in the depths of the world without diffusion and not a glimmer of light will soon explode and the political leaders will file their nails while we are left in ruins with smelly shit everywhere. The world hangs in the balance, say no to war.
Not feminist as in "women should be included in the draft" but feminist as in "being drafted is a violation of bodily autonomy for any gender".
The draft should not exist. Drafting people into the military is a violation of human rights. You should not be able to force someone to risk their life. If you can't find enough people who care about a conflict to keep it going then it simply shouldn't keep going. You can't even force someone to donate a kidney using government power, why the fuck can you force them to donate their whole body and life to a cause they don't agree with or don't care about?
One thing I will NEVER understand is how 1980 John Lennon got away with tenderly calling Paul his DEAR ONE and trailing off into thought whilst also managing to convince the general population that he felt absolutely nothing for this man like how?? How??
Not his old-bandmate, not his collegue, not his mate. His dear one. And the interviewer seemingly didn't even blink. Truly insane.
If I could pull of this look, I would.
in the 60s and 70s if men felt too embarrassed or repressed to have sex with each other they'd form a soft/folk rock band and sing beautiful harmonies

a fun fact about pope john paul the second is that his birth name was karol józef wojtyła but when he was elected pope he chose to be known as john paul because he was such a devout mclennon shipper
what is beyond what we cannot see but can feel? life is more than just plans, love is more than just an emotion, death is more than just the end, what I believe in is more than just an illusion.
