Mexican-born screen heartthrob Ramón Novarro in the MGM/William Nigh silent romantic drama Across to Singapore, 1928. Ramón's co-stars in this movie were Joan Crawford and Anna May Wong (who was inexplicably and unfairly denied a screen credit for her work in the production). This was Novarro's final silent film before he successfully transitioned to talkies the following year.
