tl:dr; Varya went to ComicCon Russia, got hugged by Decharts, is now gushing about it

got hugs from Decharts. before them came words of encouragement to not worry about photoshoot. thank you-s for me worrying about their well-being and how they are enjoying Russia, if they’re enjoying at all; been worried sick about how ComicCon Russia organisation had been atrocious to everyone and I’ve been so freaked out, even shaking, about how both Amelia and Bryan had been holding up through it. and then I got welcomed into double hugs. as in, absolutely best, happiest, with smiles all around, hugs that felt like warmness itself. I’ve been so worried about somehow affecting them into giving me a hug out of obligation, due to how bad things were on the end of ComicCon Russia organisation, as I mentioned, and I was ready to not even get any sort of small talk or anything more than getting a photo together, and instead was calmed down, thanked for my concerns about CCR, and Bryan opened his arms like “yeah, you’re getting a hug”, and I almost broke down with how, despite everything, naturally it felt.

honestly, I am not even a “fan” fan of Amelia Rose Blaire-Dechart (I’m still not sure which surname we should be writing, since all the wikis/social medias have different opinions on it?? so I’m sticking with hyphens) and Bryan Dechart, but I immensely adore how good they are as human beings, the way they interact with people and their colleagues, and while I’m not following every single media they participate in, I still enjoy so much when I do get to see them, and being absolute lovelies and great actors. Valorie Curry originally made me look into D:BH, and when it flopped as a story, especially for her character, I was so pissed off on her behalf? and I still have this love-hate relationship with Detroit as a game. but Bryan with just being… himself, having fun, bringing Amelia along, changing things in the scenario and dynamics of the game, attempting to still enjoy things despite the bad parts because they really worked on D:BH… this is why I have the “love” part of my relationship with Detroit, enjoy the fandom while critiquing the living hell out of it, and am much more calmer and respectful as a person. I am grateful for all of this. for seeing more people because of said fandom, to sharing my time sometimes watching the streams, participating in some things more actively - like, come on, for the first time in my life I’ve participated in irl flashmob!! screaming my lungs out with “WE ARE ALIVE” and helping Pyotr Kovrizhnykh (Russian dub for Connor) to get to backstage and meet Bryan, that was awesome.

and this aura of “we’re having fun and being friends despite the circumstances” when we were at the photoshoot was the most overwhelming, yet definitely amazing feeling I’ve experienced lately. it feels me up and drowns out the worst parts of me and my mental problems, even if it’s only for today, and I fell like I can move mountains. it felt like Bryan and Amelia were really inspiring me just by being there, friendly and so warm.

now I gotta live up to these two! that, and the fact that I promised to myself to become damn best in my profession if I meet these two amazing people. met them, was hugged. now gotta be better than the best :’)

and, if by some miracle Amelia and Bryan will see this post - you’re one the most sincere, heartwarming people this world have seen and I am shaken with how many emotions I’ve felt today because of you, and for the first time in a long period of my mental troubles, these emotions weren’t poisoned by any sort of bad feelings. thank you. I actually felt alive today.

I wanted to toss these out here as somewhat of a follow-up to my rivka hair, as that’s another piece based on the fantastic straight bob from Snowy Escape.  I hand-painted the mask for the roots/ombre overlays so they would have the same natural “grown out” look as the original ea ombre swatches :)

SDCC BioGIFs:  Amelia Rose Blaire and Bryan Dechart

We caught up with actress Amelia Rose Blaire and Twitch streamer Bryan Dechart at San Diego Comic-Con to ask them questions and turn their answers into a dream movie poster in a new series of posts we’re calling SDCC BioGIFs. The married couple, who celebrated their one year anniversary last month, did not disappoint.

If there was a biopic made about your life, what would it be called?

Amelia & Bryan: Play the Positive.

Who would play you? 

Bryan: Tom Holland.

Amelia: Emma Stone.

If Connor was attending Comic-Con, who would he cosplay as?

Bryan: Inspector Gadget.

If you could have any fictional character be a guest on your channel, who would it be and why?

Amelia: My Little Pony, Firefly, just because she was close to my heart when I was little. I loved—LOVED—My Little Pony, so if I got to meet her it would be like meeting my childhood self.
