thinking about the bittersweet angst of chifuyu falling for kazutora & offering him a second chance in his life, in his heart, at life in general.

listen to if you think it’s love by king princess and imagine them growing closer working at the pet shop together and one night they stay at chifuyus to share greasy take out & drink cheap beers and they end up slow dancing to that song because “I’ve never danced like that with someone,” kazutora admits. “i can help you with that,” chifuyu would offer as if that hasn’t been exactly what he’s been doing since kazutora was released …. and then chifuyu rests his head on kazutora’s shoulder, soft and reverent because he feels okay for the first time in a long time. and kazutora’s voice is rough with nerves when he whispers chifuyu’s name and says, “i’m not baji.” and when chifuyu looks up and their lips are almost touching, he could almost cry when he says, “i wouldn’t want you to be anyone else, kazutora,” and means it.

anyway maybe I’ll just write a fic.

I just watched the entire Maze Runner trilogy and I think it is one of the most egregious cases of “should have been a gay romantic tragedy” that I’ve ever seen fhdjksks

Like obviously lots of movies are guilty of this, but what gets me is they didn’t even try to make Thomas and Teresa a convincing pairing. All they did was put her there and say “here she’s the love interest because we said so.” Not even an iota of effort was put in to show us why they were supposedly in love. Newt played the role of a typical love interest in every other aspect. I have never seen a movie fail so hard at a no homo in my LIFE.

And then they have the audacity to end the movie with Thomas reading what is basically a love letter from Newt. But they threw in a “mate” at the end to the indicate that it’s not gay and they were just buds. Unbelievable.

No, but I mean it. Gally, without hesitation, pushed Thomas away from the tracks and ran to help Newt, jumping in front a GODDAMN TRAIN. To save his friends. The friends who left him for dead (or so it seemed, ref: “No, you left me to die”). The same friends he watched run off into the Maze. But none of that matters, because those are still his friends. Gally’s selflessness in that scene alone is enough to redeem him, for anyone who thought he needed redemption to begin with. Why do I love him as much I do? Well, there are many reasons. But that one right there is in the Top 3. He was never a villain and he was never a bully. He always cared about his friends and always wanted to protect them.
