happy birthday, childe! this 2 hour playlist is my love letter to childe... who along with scara has captivated me like no other character before

scara's playlist (which i haven't finished the cover art for yet) was pretty easy for me to make, but childe's was difficult for me because at the time not much of my favorite music really felt like it fit. i listened to a lot of new music, got into some new albums and bands, and built this playlist slowly over months.

it's themed around his devotion to his family and his god, his duties as a soldier, his vicious and selfish impulses. his future --  will the story of ajax be a tragedy, as was his namesake? will ajax ever return home?

i hope this playlist is interesting for you all and evokes something of this complex and interesting character. building this playlist inspired many of my own art pieces about him. (i've never made playlists like this before HAHA they've really done a number on me huh)

Cytham headcannon

Something I find really funny about cytham is the cannon height differences...like come on look at it.

So I'm just imagining everytime Cyno wants a kiss he just absolutely SOCKS alhaitham in the stomach so he can reach because asking alhaitham to bend down is a bit to his pride

The General Mahamatra carries a presence with him. He’s adept at hiding it–capable of sneaking up on almost everyone–but generally, his presence is loud and overwhelming. He enters a room and he instantly demands attention. 

Alhaitham had the privilege of witnessing it more than once already. There’s just something to the way Cyno carries himself in official meetings and it scarcely has to do with his headset. It might be the most distinctive sign of the General Mahamatra, but even dressed down and bandaged up Cyno manages to command the attention of everyone present with merely a look and the way he carries himself. Sometimes it feels as if the General Mahamatra is larger than life itself.

Alhaitham also has heard what people say about the General Mahamatra; how his reputation is huge and his legacy will carry on, long after he’s gone. 

Alhaitham doesn’t disagree with any of that, though to him the General Mahamatra is even more. To him, the General Mahamatra is Cyno.

And Cyno is small.

His presence might be great, the power he commands terrifying and overpowering, but physically, he’s just a sliver of a man. Alhaitham knows of course, just what kind of power lies behind the deceptively slim body–has felt it first hand during their clash at Aaru Village–but that doesn’t change the fact that Cyno is almost an entire head shorter than him.

He’s not even of a good height for forehead kisses, something that Alhaitham laments every morning, when he awkwardly has to bend down until his lips connect with the crown of Cyno’s head. Not that a little discomfort is going to stop him because nothing can stop him from showering Cyno with his love. Not even the glower he gets in return.

“Stop that,” Cyno says, very notably not rising on his feet to make it easier on Alhaitham, but Alhaitham knows it for the token protest it is.

The blush dusting Cyno’s cheeks gives him away.

“Tomorrow, maybe,” Alhaitham says, and they both know very well that he won’t stop it, not tomorrow or any day after.

Cyno huffs, but doesn’t protest anymore, and Alhaitham just catches the hint of a smile on his face when he turns away from him.

Since when have fans needed a ‘reason’ to ship characters????? Since when did we create this weird fucking expectation that our ships have to adhere to the canonical material??? Shipping is for fun. It’s based on the FANS imagination. If fans dgaf about what goes on in canon, then that’s their choice and you have no right to tell them that they’re wrong. I’m so irritated with all these shippers on tiktok and twitter. They turn everything so serious and treat fictional content like actual historical shit that needs to be followed with great detail…like what the actual fuck I hate these mfs so much

If you wanna base your ships strictly based on what’s canon, then that’s your business but don’t go expecting everyone else to limit their imagination and creativity. We can use fanon material to create dynamics, tropes, head-canons for our ships. Like who tf do these mfs think they are going around making fun of fans for being creative and invested in ships??
