Michael Rosenbaum has a phenomenal podcast that I have been on once before when I was promoting Still Just A Geek. He was one of the people I hoped I could talk to about It's Storytime With Wil Wheaton, because I knew he'd get it, but mostly because I just really enjoy his company, his energy, and how safe he made me feel when I was there.
I am his guest this week. We taped this the day after my podcast released, which feels like a lifetime ago, but was really just a month or so.
We talked a lot about my recovery from child abuse and exploitation, how I show up for myself whenever I am able, and how I'm doing the best I can to be the parent I never had.
We also talked about my new podcast, and a lot of stuff that isn't in this big old bag of trauma I'm lugging around.

Right now, you can submit a comment for consideration on the proposed changes to US Passport law that will include requiring a change from "Gender" to "Sex" on all passports and require that people identify with their sex assigned at birth.
THIS IS THE LAW THAT WOULD BAN TRANS PEOPLE FROM UPDATING THEIR IDENTIFICATION
Please take a moment to click through and submit a comment. This kind of thing is fast, easy, and is one of the many ways to show your support of the trans community to the people that need to know how many of us there are.
'do you think you're superior for not using AI in your work' thank you for asking! yes i do
Hey, you reblogged that AI post and I was surprised to see something so mean on your blog. "If you cant write unassisted, fuck you, youre a disgrace to the community." Is that really something you want on your blog?
Just in case this isn't a spam message:
Posting AI-generated content to a platform intended to be an archive for writers is not appropriate use of the platform. On a platform intended for human creation, it is rude and inappropriate to clog search results with AI-produced content which often plagiarizes the work of human authors.
Use of generative AI is also horrible for our environment, leading to massive waste of fossil fuel energy and water. We should not be doing damage to our planet for the sake of generating (robot-produced, often plagiarized) fiction, especially when the joy of fiction comes from the creation and emotion of real people.
Rather than giving a prompt to a generative AI, people should consider attempting to write their own work, or asking another writer from the fandom if they would be interested in writing it. Anyone who is capable of typing a prompt into ChatGPT is capable of writing a story. The first attempts may not be amazing, but that is true of any skill, and anyone can improve with time and practice - and while ChatGPT may give you big returns in your time, it doesn't give you practice, growth, or creativity, which is where the joy of writing should come from.
“Oh boo hoo you shouldn’t ask your friends for favors we’re all adults”
I just spent three hours pulling up carpet and staples for a friend’s home renovation and we all did nothing but chat and joke and have wonderful conversation the whole time.
Helping somebody move or renovate or giving them a ride to the airport is functionally the same as going mini-golfing or playing a board game: it’s an activity that you do that is made more fun by having good company, and which provides something to talk about when the conversation lulls.
These men just stole the personal information of everyone in America AND control the Treasury. Link to article.

bruh. nypd and eric adams gave evidence to hbo before they gave it to luigi's lawyers. and the evidence obtained was a violation of 4th amendment CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, meaning it can't be used in the case. they're trying soooooooo hard to bias the public against him
We have GOT to stop being assholes to people with receding and balding hairlines. There's not a single person that it can't affect. It affects trans men, particularly on hormones, it affects trans women, particularly those not on hormones, it affects people with endocrine issues, something that's becoming more prevalent and common, and it can affect people without a particular cause, including cis women. It's a normal part of being human and we NEED to stop dehumanizing and humiliating ppl for it
