If Patrick Hockstetter wasnât played by an attractive actor I think he wouldnât be as popular in the fandom.
I donât even think this is an unpopular opinion. The Bowers Gang is popular because theyâre played by attractive actors. Except notice how people often keep Belch out of their fics or art? They donât find his character attractive despite being a lesser evil compared to Patrick and Henry.
Seeing how people react to Belch is an indicator that their actions arenât taken into account, just their looks. Patrick is attractive enough to get away with his actions, while Belch is ostracized for being⌠chubby? Cuz he burps? He is also horribly mischaracterized imo⌠read the fucking book. Anyway idc heâs bae fr. I love that silly guy!
If their actors were book accurate then there would be less of a fandom imo. Ofc there are people who find them interesting because theyâre horrible people and naturally as human we are drawn to things we cannot understand. However, my point still stands.
