So I've seen a few people talking a bit about this and having just come onto the hermitshipping sceen, I've decided to put in my own thoughts on the matter.

So a lot of people argue that shipping is something that is by fans for fans to enjoy, not the content creators. Nothing incorrect about that. They then go on to make the argument that because of this, showing CCs work that ships them and asking about their boundaries regarding content that ships them with others is out of line. However I'd like to argue that point a bit.

Shipping is of course for the fandom, not the CCs but I think we forget that Hermitcraft isn't quite like a lot of fandoms. The people we ship aren't really part of a story or playing some role or part. They play themselves for the most part. Not a made up character in a book or an actor who plays a different person. So to ship them with other people may cross a boundary to those who feel like their "character" is just them.

That isn't to say we should never be allowed to make shipping content or anything ever again and that it's all bad. However I think boundaries are important. If a hermit decides to make it know that shipping makes them uncomfortable, we should respect that as best we can. Don't go out of your way to show content to the CCs that you know will probably make them uncomfortable.

Shipping, in its essence, really is by and for the fandom, not the CCs. But since they do so much for us and because of the nature of their "characters" we should try to be respectful.

Just watched xisuma's newest episode today, and I'm just geeking out over the fact that he makes helscraft (the fanon server where all the hermits evil counter parts are in) actually canon

Earlier today, Pete was talking about having a TNT-based game in MCC to replace HITW, and his chat was like "do you know Grian invented TNT run"

And now HBomb is like "ender pearl golf could be fun" (again to replace HITW). And Grian goes "oh like the trident+pearl one cubfan made?"

You reckon once the wild update (1.19) is out, there will be swamp villages? Since the swamp (soon-to-be-called mangroves forest) will have it's own wood type and they can have their own village theme and block palette

Plus, we already have swamp villagers that tho don't spawn naturally, are able get in survival minecraft with breeding 2 villagers in a swamp biome

Or it'll end up like the jungle villagers? Even tho the jungle has its own wood type and have a villager skin of that specific biome, still don't have it's own village and don't spawn naturally
