okay but let's talk about people who don't react as obviously when they're tickled because I LOVE YOU

like if you don't often laugh, but you'll breathe heavy and gasp and go 'AH' and say 'ohmygod, ohmygod' and 'fuck'

and if you don't like squirm the whole time, but you'll twitch and flinch when i hit a certain spot so i just keep doing it over and over

and if you can stay still while you're tickled, but you'll fist the sheets and sometimes do a little kick and feel so overwhelmed with sensation the whole time

if this is you i summon you to my lap, you are needed. do you know how satisfying it is to get reactions out of you when they're subtle and rare????

I love tickling as a solution to all problems, like:

lee is having a bad day? tickle them until they’re a puddle

lee is saying bad things about themself? tickle them until they take it back

lee makes a really cheesy pun that you can’t help laughing at in spite of yourself? tickle them because that didn’t deserve a laugh

lee is annoying you while you work? merciless tickles (warning: this may encourage lee to annoy you more often)

lee is just too cute? tickle them absolutely silly

lee is blocking the tickles? tickle a different spot

…and so on!

It really is an all-purpose solution!

Just when I’m about to head for bed, I will collect my laundry from the dryer only to be Pikachu surprised that it’s still in the washing machine.

A lot of adulthood is shouting “AUGH MY LAUNDRY” hours after you put it in the washer/dryer and running to go fetch it

I just wanted to share this tribute to a very important person who brought the biggest part of my childhood to life.

I’ve loved Thomas the Tank Engine since I was (at least) three years old and still do to this day.

Britt Allcroft was a visionary and an artist who understood the Thomas stories and understood children, and knew how to adapt them in such a way that children would understand without straying too far from the original stories. She respected the series so damn well and brought these beloved stories, as well as her own, to life.

Britt Allcroft had a sense of magic like no other and designed the Thomas episodes in such a way that they felt like an actual magical island to escape to and spared no imagination. She gave Thomas her all and in turn it touched millions of hearts.

She loved Thomas and she loved her audience and her audience felt that love through these stories.

Thank you, Britt Allcroft for these myriad of childhood memories I will never, ever let go of.
