Here’s the ‘official’ photo from my latest night out at the Fabulous Pink Punters in Milton Keynes - you’ve got to love a Big Night Out! 💋

I was a child that fantasized about being a model when I had the chance to dress in women’s clothes. I imagined myself dressed as a girl modeling in public, but I was too afraid to show myself as a girl and I was sure I would never go up on stage as a model, not even in male clothes, because I was too shy.

One day I was unexpectedly asked to participate on a fashion show. It was a close friend of my mother who asked me as a favor. I was not yet a teenager and she told me they needed a boy to complete a group of models that were going to represent a family on the show. The boy that was originally going to participate was sick and they needed a replacement. I didn’t want to do it but mother insisted and I accepted not feeling good about the idea.

Days later I was at the backstage. There were few adult male models and I was the only boy, but I didn’t care because I was walking side by side with many beautiful female models. It was incredible to see how they were preparing, makeup, dresses, shoes, hair, and I was amazed at the chance to be so close to them.

Our time to show arrived. Opposite to what I was expecting, I felt great. Maybe it was because the model playing the role of my mother was so kind and held my hand almost all the time that made me feel comfortable. She was a beautiful woman with such grace and sympathy, an image of beauty that was catching everybody’s eyes. I felt so lucky to be with her and could feel how happy she was there.

After the show I was told I did it good and was asked to join for other shows. I accepted without hesitating. I was not going to miss the chance to be around those beautiful models and perform together letting through my imagination believe I was one of them.

That was an experience I loved even though I didn’t dress as girl because modeling with those women fed my childhood dream of becoming a fashion supermodel like them one day.

Well, I didn’t become a model when I grew up but I recall this memory very well anyway. 💋
