“Then again in Scream you can’t trust anyone because it’s usually the least likely person to be the killer. You’re always on your toes.”

Cammy smirked, hearing the other woman’s forwardness. “Smooth,” she mildly teased. “Maybe I can, but I’d like to get a name first. After all, going into stranger’s houses is definitely a risky thing to do. Horror movie one-oh-one, right?”

“Laurel Walker,” she stated proudly, as if using her married name from an illegitimate marriage was something to carry with pride. “And you passed my test. It only validated my reasoning to ask you out. I’m the assistant manager over at Crossroads. I have a cat named Einstein. And my favorite food is macaroni and cheese. See? Now we’re not strangers.”

“Do you mean other than street artists?” Thomas asked. “Is it bad if I say I discover them all on Instagram? I follow Pace Taylor pretty closely. They graduated with a BFA a couple years before I did. And, uh…. Becca Klassey for simple paintings. Anisa Asakawa? I’m sorry. Does that make me not an authentic wanderer?”

“How does one define an authentic wanderer?” She mused, wiping away the pretzel salt on her lips with the back of her hand. “Have you created any street art?”

“The Exorcist for sure! Or any other movie based on real facts actually. It’s not like they are my favorite at all, they just scare me the most, and at the same time those are last type of movies that I’ve watched lately”

“You know what is very surprising? That true crime documentaries aren’t considered horror movies because those are real facts anyway.”

Okay, truth be told a Goonies themed party sounds like it’d be fun. But at the same time, I think a lot of people would think I was having an 80′s/pirate fusion party.

If you think about it; it doesn’t actually sound that bad. In fact, it sounds trendsetting. And after all, aren’t you a trendsetter Ms. Monroe?

LJ and Liv had become fast friends with her several trips to the record store, they were learning about music together. Liv was always welcome to a new tune, as long as it didn’t involve heavy metal and some dude screaming. If she wanted to hear screaming, it was going to be on a tv or movie screen because someone got stabbed. “Don’t ask? Hmp- something tells me your trying to locate people’s fears and what they are resilient to,” she smirked. “But like you don’t already know- I’m a Halloween a girl, Michael Myers roaming around wanting to gut people just because- but I’m also a Scream girl. Including the fourth one that people seem to hate for some reason, the third one can die though.”

Liv and Laurel bonded through their developing love of music and movies--but she would love to delve deeper into that friendship as those she thought she had connected with from her young adult age weren’t around during the most trying time in her life. She smiled at Liv’s answers--of course, she gave an indepth answer. “Follow-up question: who do you think would win in a boxing match? Michael Myers or Ghost-face: Stu-Macher?”

Hearing the woman’s brash question made Cammy softly snort before responding with another question, “Does that actually work on people? Using horror movies to try and jump someone else’s bones?” She started to lift her drink straw back to her lips but prior to taking another sip, said, “The last horror movie I watched was Scream 4 and honestly, it wasn’t horrifying at all. Just stupid. But that could also have been my bias against Emma Roberts and he terrible acting skills.”

“It worked on me,” she admitted. Then again she was a teenager and young love was exciting and impulsive. But wasn’t all love supposed to be like that. “Maybe you can come over to my place and we can watch some of my recommendations. And before you say anything--yes, this is my way of asking out a very beautiful supermodel.”
