"Would anyone want to read --" Listen, imma stop you right there. Yes. YES, someone would want to read that. You write that weird little fucked up story. Or that domestic little slice of life story. That drabble or that 300k monster.
I promise someone wants to read it.

β izzy fingers you in his leather gloves before a show
it was a little before showtime, izzy was getting ready in the mirror, pacing the room a little. it was a sold out stadium, 4th day of tour.
izzy let you join him for touring as you had nowhere else to be. you too were a musician yourself, nothing was keeping you held up tho. you had free time.
as he swept at his hair in the mirror, you started to get a little antsy sitting on the croaky couch of the dressing room. he had been teasing you the whole bus ride but hadn't indulged in anything, it made you crazy.
you couldn't help but let out a little huff as you watched him act as if you weren't even in the room. he finally looked over to you through the mirror.
you rolled your eyes, he couldn't even be bothered to fully turn around? fuck.
"what's the matter baby?" he'd ask flatly, tightening some raggedy scarf he wore around his neck as part of his stage look. his hands were held in leather ruby gloves.
"stop playing dumb iz..." you almost whined, fed up with how he's just left you with nothing. you never expected constant pleasure or anything- it was the fact that he did all of that on the bus just to leave you wanting more.
he hid a slight coy smile as he looked down to the dresser, then turning heel to look at you.
"what do you want babe? we gotta be on in-" he'd look at his watch "20 minutes." he said, still keeping up the act. it's as if he found pleasure from making you wait the very last minute.
"i just want something... anything at this point." you responded, laying your head back against the beat up couch.
izzy steps closer, kneeling inbetween your legs on the ground. well finally!
you look down at him as one of his leather clad hands trails your inner thigh and the other holds your knee, pushing your legs apart more. you were in a dress so it wasn't so hard.
you watched in anticipation, secretly hoping he would keep those gloves on.
his left hand goes even further, thumbing at your sweet spot through your underwear. at that, you let out a little breath. you'd been waiting for hours.
at your reaction, he takes back his hand and his right hand goes to pull the bottom of his glove up but-
"no! keep them on..." you said almost instantly, tone a little demanding from your desperation.
he raised his eyebrows, a little impressed with your preferences. he put his left hand back where it was and you sighed contently.
his hands pull down your panties and caress your thighs a little, kneading them before a leather finger is teasing at your cIit, rubbing gently. you moan softly, he knows your body well. it feels even better with the cold leather glove he has on.
the finger slowly turns into 2 as they thrust into you gently. your hips quiver and shake, explicit sounds leaving your voice box as you experience this.
he fingers you to climax, his glove now covered in you. as you finish, a voice calls out "5 minutes boys!"
he gently rubs you through your orgasm, ignoring the call. you catch your breath, head against the couch as he gets up at the last call.
"i'll be back good girl..." he murmured with his sleazy smirk, gloves still on. you barely gave him a goodbye as he left out of the doors, walking the hall to the stage.
to play his guitar on stage, he had to take off his gloves. he gave the 2 fingers on his left hand a little lick before tossing them off to the side of the stage, grabbing his guitar to play his music with the others.
"guys I do not condone any of this in real life" "this is fiction" "consent is key. this is only fiction" "murder is bad irl" β I wish fanfic authors didn't feel like they had to clarify this in author's notes or else they might be accused of being abusers or worse (I admit that such disclaimers are also something I personally use for my own stuff because I feel like I had to make it clear). like... people used to not care if an author wrote dead dove fics because people used to understand that ao3 fics are not a reflection of someone's in real life views or morality in any way. people used to understand that fanfics mean what they mean; fan fiction. none of it is real. maybe it's purity culture that normalizes witch hunt and censorship in the past couple years, and therefore authors feel like they have to clarify that just because they write about violence or noncon stuff doesn't mean they're murderers or sex offenders in real life. and I think it sucks that these things (purity and cancel culture?) have made authors feel like they have to apologize for the art they created instead of being proud of their hard work and all the dedication they put into creating these art. artists should not have to feel like they have to apologize for creating art that isn't all rainbow and sunshine. artists should not have to be made to feel ashamed of their own art if it's not all rainbow and sunshine.
I donβt agree with the βyou can write noncon and dark fics as long as you make sure your readers get the message that these things are badβ or βyou can write noncon and dark fics if itβs your way of coping with your traumaβ take either. because writers do not owe you anything. the message writers want to send to their readers β whatever that message may be, if thereβs any message or moral of the story for readers to take from the stories at all β is none of your business. why writers write what they write is none of your business. remember βdonβt like donβt readβ. no one forces you to read anything you donβt like. dark and noncon fics are a form of creative writing and creative writing is a form of art. you canβt pressure artists into creating art that βfit your moral compassβ nor can you apply your own moral compass to artists to determine if they can create dark art or not, if their reasoning behind creating dark art passes your moral compass. likeβ¦ what artists create and why artists create are none of your business. and you donβt get to shame artists for creating art that you hate / art that disgusts you. what you can do is ignore the art because it clearly was not made for you and thatβs okay. what isnβt okay is you harassing artists because you donβt like the things they created.
writers, embrace and be proud of your works. as long as all the trigger warnings are tagged properly, you have nothing to apologize for.
