Finally finished reading Babysitter by Joyce Carol Oates. Omg. So dark and intense! I'm so glad it is over. Now I've just started White Nights by FΓ«dor Dostoevskij. As for other stuff, I washed my black clothes and went to the grocery store. Pretty casual day.

Daily carries.
Need to keep reminding myself of the importance of ritual in my life. When I forget it, when I forget myself, I find myself feeling so adrift. Like Iβve lost something. Ritual grounds me in a way few things do. Writing as a ritual. Fragrance as a ritual. Water breaks as a ritual. Lip balm because I perpetually forget that last one.

Finally decided to tackle reading something by Fernando Pessoa. I don't know why but his most popular one, The Book of Disquiet, intimidates me so much, so I decided to start with his poetry. So far so good. Exquisite, I should say!

Simple pleasures: eating seasonal fruits, enjoying nature, going to art museums, getting lost in a book and savouring a cappuccino and croissant for breakfast.
Treating myself to a cup of Greek yoghurt, blueberries and redcurrants while reading White Nights by FΓ«dor Dostoevskij.
currently: reading carnivorously Lady Chatterley's Lover, mentally preparing myself for my next read (i.e. Babysitter), eating pokè, enjoying the warm weather and sunny days, wearing wide leg jeans + my bf botton downs, and starting a commonplace journal.
