“If he wanted to, he would,” is a lazy and boring way to think. Yes, it’s true, but it puts all the weight on his shoulders. Don’t be lazy. Don’t be boring. If you want him to treat you like a Queen, then you should be treating him like a King. This isn’t about traditional gender roles or traditional relationships (though, it does seem these elements make for wonderful intimate dynamics), this is about being a partner worthy of your partner’s initiative, vigor, and desire.

Instead of sadly tweeting “If he wanted to, he would,” try having an actual conversation with your partner to figure out why he isn’t. A good man will be open and honest with a good woman, and the problem will not survive the night.
