I was encouraged to make a concept for the Polish Navy and. Being encouraged by @/Ruboeb's sirens (on Twitter,) I read up on all the folklore and went with older interpretations of them (!!) Images of the older interpretations below It was common for sirens to actually be part or mostly bird ! Or Human, bird and fish, but in seemingly strange manifestations. There's also a lot of explanations as to why they're on water and such too ,,, but I particularly like the concept of them being Persephone's servants/maidens, and them being given wings to chase after Persephone—considering the fact that she was. kidnapped ! by Hades.
