So there’s been some talk on my dash about which version of the DS9 theme is the best and… frankly, everyone’s wrong. Because the best version is neither the early years nor the later years. It’s a version never heard on the show. It’s a concert version done by (and I could be wrong on this but I believe) the City of Prague philharmonic for one of those Star Trek compilation knock-off albums. And it’s the early theme meshed with one of the pilot episode tracks and… yeah. It’s the best. So listen and then thank me for adding it’s existence to your life. :P
I’ve always imagined it as the title theme to the DS9 movie we’ll never get. :( I can picture the credits and then as it transitions in the middle, us going through the window to Sisko - nay, Kira’s - office, where we find her holding the baseball and going out into Ops and taking it all in and… I can’t go further without the feels…
