it’s crazy to me that radfems can pull up multiple statistics and testimonies showing that 98% of all prostituted women want to leave but have no choice, but that all gets ignored because one or two libfems say “well I think it’s empowering and sex work is the same as being a cashier sooo maybe you should listen to sex workers you swerf”
s6 thiam as tumblr text posts i’ve rbd at some point :]
once you start noticing how casually misogyny is incorporated into society theres literally NO going back. look at our insults! theres so many words to degrade womyn just existing the same as men.
bitch, slut, whore, cunt are just used to insult us for being confident/sexually active.
even passive terms like crazy cat lady and calling confident young girls 'bossy' ARE contributing to this!
the first step to unlearning internalized misogyny is learning to stop using terms like these.
when you start reading gender theory you look at everything mundane with different eyes. yesterday I was browsing ao3 for some bed night smut (usual) and came across the tag "Forced Feminization" in a lesbian relationship."feminization for woman.. wow how rare... why not masculanazation(?) huh? " I though to myself before I realized there can't be masculanazation cause being masculine is just to be without the need to change anything, that's why having hair is seen as a act of treason by fellow woman who adhere to societal standards where feminity has been equal to perform for the past thousand of years.
AAAAAAA screaming crying throwing up on the floor foaming at the mouth at the way crowley got himself wrapped around aziraphale
season 1 vs season 2
we love a sassy bitch who sass his long term long distance low commitment casual boyfriend
THIS FACE!
‘So bitch, you “killed” those goats, right? RIGHT?’
are you a real person?
la plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu'il n'existe pas
"the devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist"
so I'm real as I made you belive that I am, nothing more, nothing less.
I watched just the first two episodes of Good Omens and my precious headcanon is crowley wants to kiss aziraphale so bad every time he calls him angel.thank you for coming to my TED talk today.
My adaptation of the God of Arepo short story, which was originally up at ShortBox Comics Fair for charity. You can get a copy of the DRM-free ebook here for free - and I'd encourage you to donate to Mighty Writers or The Ministry of Stories in exchange.
Again it's an honour to be drawing one of my favourite short stories ever. Thank you so much for the original authors for creating this story; and for everyone who bought a copy and donated to the above non-profits.
good omens season 2 finale is the best ending they could have give.everything seeming to work out in the end, gabriel getting his memory back, the literal duke of hell and the archangel getting together, them going off to distance stars to love each other, the significance of the song Everyday, hell and heaven stoping the fight and resigning for the foreseeable future, metatron stopping angels from hurting aziraphale, crowley realising he can say his love outloud now and he's going to goddammit, aziraphale getting recognized by heaven authorities for the first time in his existence, being offered of his dream job and he's going to refuse it in the first sight cause he wants to be with crowley no matter but the gift horse is getting bigger, including crowley in heaven by his side,CROWLEY IN HEAVEN AS AN ANGEL ONCE AGAIN LIKE HE HIMSELF INTERNALLY WANTS.but it all crambles cause they terribly misunderstood each other.crowley thought aziraphale would, *wants* to choose heaven over him INSTEAD of him and he gets defensive acting like the idealism aziraphale is showing is ridiculous and unimportant. aziraphale was never fond of hell or it's ways but it's light as feather to voice them without so much regard, without ever thinking maybe it will hurt crowley(cause when he voices hell isn't enough crowley thinks HE isn't enough) when he secured the job of being the leader of "good" they are oh so horrifyingly scared to get hurt they make one another the knife they turn inside themselves.and oh also THE KISS ofc
This is makeup and facetune.
Disclaimer: I am in no way trying to put down the women in the second photo set. They look great, they’re doing as they please, but I wanted to use their public photos in order to make a point.
Often times I hear the argument, “but makeup is an art form! How can women be harmed by the makeup industry if it’s a CHOICE and an art form?”
There is a gigantic difference between the two photo sets. The first are women who have applied makeup, face paint and other materials in order to create something on their faces that does not enhance their appearance or follow beauty standards. They are literally creating a painting/piece of art on their faces. The second photo set shows women who are using makeup in order to enhance their looks and quite honestly change the appearance of their natural facial features.
The makeup looks that are shown are what the beauty industry distributes their products for. These looks are what is deemed “beautiful” and “acceptable” in our society. It is what 10 year old girls are trying to achieve in order to feel pretty and gain attention and acceptance.
It isn’t an art form to put on eyeliner, eyebrows, matte lipstick, contour your entire face to the point in which you are unrecognizable from your bare face. It may be aesthetically pleasing, but it isn’t art. Women and girls are pushed to wear foundation, eye makeup, and whatever else every day. No one is pushed to look like a Rorschach test (see third photo in first photo set, lol). No one is pressured to wear makeup in the form in which we see at the top, but girls are pressured beyond belief to make their noses look smaller. Their eyes look bigger. Their eyebrows more shaped. Their eyelashes longer. Their cheeks higher. Their neck slimmer. Their eyes lighter. Their lips bigger… more seductive. And it goes on.
Know the difference between conventional makeup and artistic makeup. They are not the same, they are not to be conflated. We are not smashing the patriarchy with our winged eyeliner. We are not going against what men want by over lining our lips. Choice or not, we aren’t doing it for anything other than because we feel we have to.
Contour isn’t art.
la tristesse durera toujours. being a fujoshi is payback for all of the sexualization our sisterhood faces daily
