It was so funny in my head I swear.
Also I will never figure out how to draw Warren.
this Barbie eats people <3
Don't get me wrong I love the murder family but how sweet would it be if Georgia Madchen survived and became like a daughter to Will? I mean I can see it. They had such a wholesome relationship I think they could've helped each other overcome their problems. I stand for it.
Okayyy random take in the name of s4! I'm so excited!
Spoilers for s3 and wywh3 and a lot of words under the cut.
SO. I've been thinking about Warren and Gordon finding out that Morior Invictus is now like somewhat of a cryoterrorists hymn. I know we as a fandom just kind of assumed they would love it. The whole rebellion thing, fighting for your future, confonring the almighty power of money. And yeah it makes enough sense to be true. But the evil little voice inside my head keeps telling me that MAYBE it wouldn't all be that fun.
I mean Gordon said that Pus Crank songs were reminding him of simpler times. And now I might assume they're also reminding them both of the little comfort they could get in the literal hell on earth. Warren sang it in the moment of despair. And I really don't think it was all about him being angry or wanting to hurt Gordon in some way.
Like YEAH they might enjoy the way everything has turned out for this song. But also doesn't it feel like kind of an intervention? Like they took the last thing connecting them to the silly moments. Like now it's all about the war and not them trying to get some actual comfort.
So! My prediction (if we ever get to hear their reaction) is Warren freaking out about it. I mean the man is known for being impulsive and having Reactions to things. He's unstable and thus unpredictable. Plus the whole Oscar thing got me thinking Warren is a bit too possessive of Gordon and by extension all things related to him. I guess a negative reaction from Warren just seems more likely to my angsty brain. Not sure about Gordon's reaction though.
And I really wish be proven wrong.
OK OK OK OH MY GOD. I'm actually crying. It was such a beautiful episode... A bit heartbreaking but beautiful.
Don't want to accidentally spoil anything so! Cut!
I really think I can draw some parallels between Jade and Warren and analyze everything properly but like. I can't right now. This podcast makes me too emotional to think.
Ok but big thoughts aside!!! Clive and Pam!!! Oh how she hates him I can feel it. My favorite morally fucked up people.
And Waffles!! My light and joy!!! Everyone likes Waffles!!!!
GORD is the funniest little guy in the world and must be protected.
Malcolm is a bitch and I think it feels awful for him to hear Gordon's voice instead of Rebecca's from Blue Sky. And that's part of the reason he's such a hater. Malcolm is the type to say the most disrespectful shit and then be like OH WELL IT'S A FREE COUNTRY INNIT. And honestly? Grandpa energy.
Hester is the sweetest and I really want to hear more from her she's so cool and like??? Motherly??? Idk she's awesome.
AND WDYM THEY WENT INTO HYPERSLEEP. Like it's great that they explained it because I was kind of lost with calculating their ages but DUDE.
Jade makes me cry but like I'm grateful??? It's amazing and heart touching and I'm a mess about her.
And well... Uhm... Don't really know how I feel about the visiting Gordon part. Plus I don't think it would be easy for Warren to even enter the cryosuite. It was mentioned that the security system is over complicated and like??? He just went there??? Didn't really get that.
All in all, happy Red Valley day to those who celebrate! I'm so excited!!!
He's free, he's barefoot, he's 3 apples tall and he can't see shit because I haven't made him glasses and have no idea how to. Gordon Bloody Porlock, is he a doll or what???
I have so many feelings about Red Valley. I want to rant endlessly about the characters and motivations. It's just so awesome that I can relisten to it over and over again and still find the connections I haven't noticed before. I enjoy the writing and I absolutely LOVE the acting. I mean It's so good I can actually believe that these are real ass people having their real ass conversations. It's about the little intonations, the details, the things that are almost unnoticeable which proves again that they're very well done. The duality of every single character is making me insane. I want to consume this podcast in every way it is possible.
