Slimed

Diluc x AFAB!GN!Reader / Xiao x GN!Reader

Summary: You start collecting little nice slimes from your adventures, you can't help it, they're just too cute to be left behind in the wild all alone and sad. Anyway, your boyfriend starts to become jealous when you take care of your little army of slimes instead of him :(

Prompt: "Are you jealous? <( ̄︶ ̄)>"

(I'll give this a little warning and say that in this, Diluc is a simp for reader's mommy milkers, that's why it's AFAB reader. So just a smidge of horny juice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~

Diluc

The first night, Diluc found it so cute coming home to you sleeping on your shared bed, two slimes enjoying the warmth of your body, a hydro slime resting on your tummy, and a pyro slime nuzzling your cheek.

He did bring up the fact that the pyro one can burn you, but...

"Oh, Diluc. Burny here would never do that." You raised the little pyro slime up to his face, the blob looking at him all confused. "He's my little baby~" Then, you brought the little slime to your chest, your lover visibly perplexed that the slime's expression immediately turned happy from confusion.

The second night, there was three more slimes, which the red-haired man assumed to be triplets, since they were all geo slimes sleeping stacked up together just above your head.

And things happen, so now, there was a freaking mommy anemo slime sheltering her two babies with her wings. Andddd... They're sleeping on his side of the bed.

That same night though, you weren't asleep, you were singing a quiet song to your pets, watching as they all swayed side to side in perfect sync.

You hear a cough from behind you.

Following the sound, you see Diluc!

Awww, you were just thinking that Diluc would absolutely love seeing that you just thought the Slimies, that's what you started calling them, how to dance.

"'Luc, you're home! I wanted to show you something important!" You jumped off the bed, almost tripping at the process, before jumping into the arms of your lover.

Does Diluc want to be mad at you for letting slimes invade the bed? Yes.

Is he mad at you for letting slimes invade the bed? Hell no.

He loves you a little too much to be mad at you for having such a big, soft heart.

I mean, you took home an anemo slime and her children because when you looked at their eyes for the first time, you knew they needed help, and you would die of guilt if you just left them their in the wild.

Diluc especially isn't gonna be mad at you after you just pulled him a chair, presented the "Slimies" on the bed in front of him, sung in your beautiful voice whilst the slimes dance to the soft melodies.

"What do you think? Isn't it great?" You asked ever so enthusiastically, even clapping for your little slimes.

"Of course it was, darling. You don't sing very often, but when you do..." Diluc had stood up from his chair, walking closer to you before sitting next to you on the bed. He had gently took your hand in his. "It's the best." With that, he kissed the back of your hand.

The red haired man did love seeing the slight tint of pink on your cheeks.

"But, uhhh.... Where are we gonna sleep?"

So that was the fifth night, the slimes took one side of the bed.

Diluc laid on his back on the other, you on your stomach on top of him, hugging his form as you slept peacefully. It was a pretty cold night, he would be lying that he didn't love the feeling of your body against his.

"No naughty touchies, Diluc! The babies might wake up and see us!"

On the seventh day, you asked the Winery's staffs' help in creating a small bed that's big enough for the mommy anemo slime and her babies to sleep in beside your own bed.

Now you have both sides of the bed back to normal... sort of.

Diluc knows that look, that look on the pyro slime's small face as it was squished between your breasts.

The look of utter superiority.

Great, he can't touch you in that spot, because "the slimes will see" but it's okay for that little bugger to just squeeze his way between those pretty mounds?

That's unfair.

"Diluc! Burny would never do such a thing! He's the sweetest little angel in the world." You had scolded him when he told you about that.

You had taken your three little geos for a walk in the city and manage to find yourself in Angel's Share to visit your favorite person in the whole wide world.

Surprisingly, it was pretty empty, just a few people upstairs drinking with their buddies.

Diluc's eyes landed on the three blobs that you held to you upper body, his lips tightening at the sight of the geos nuzzling your soft chest.

Great, not them too.

Your tiny gasp brings his attention back to your face. "Diluc..."

You smiled teasingly at him.

"Are you jealous?" His face and ears instantly heat up, your expression was just like: <( ̄︶ ̄)>

"N-No... It's not like I'm mad that they get to be so close to you and I can't----" The red haired man cursed himself, not realizing what he just said. It made you giggle.

You gently placed the geo triplets on the bar counter, going around so that you could enter behind the counter where he is.

"Come here, you big teddy bear." You wrapped your arms around him, his figure stammering down a little so his head rested on your chest.

"How does that feel?" Despite Diluc's distaste for affection in public, he admits that he probably wouldn't pull away even if a costumer walks through the door.

"Good..." His voice was muffled from being buried on your covered skin.

You both hear the front door of Angel's Share open.

"Uhh... Is this a bad time?" Both your face were red as Diluc's hair as the Cavalry Captain's voice comes from the doorway.

Xiao

"Xiao..."

From the balcony of Wangshu Inn, he heard your whisper being carried by the wind.

Though you didn't seem distressed, Xiao felt worry run through him as he uses his power to look for you.

The situation is... a little less worrying than he thought.

"Can you help me get these little guys back to the Inn?" You had gestured downwards, directing his eyes to the big geo slime hiding behind your legs, with three other smaller slimes hiding behind the big slime.

The Yaksha had looked at you all confused. "Why?"

You frowned at him, putting your hands on your hips sternly. "Look at their eyes, Xiao. This geo slime family needs our help!"

From closer inspections, he definitely saw a few rough spikes and gashes on the mother slime, its facial expressions sad and begging, looking at you all hopeful.

Xiao looked back at your face...

Oh no, you had that puppy dog eyes again. You know he can't resist that.

And now you're both here, your delicate hands working on "healing" the mother slime's scars.

You did read somewhere that in the wild, geo slimes uses soil to patch up their wounds, rolling in a big pile of dirt to cover up scars.

"She must've been unable to do that because she just gave birth to these adowable triplets." You pat the heads of the three geo babies snuggly wrapped with your blanket.

You and the big geo slime are on the floor. "Don't worry, ma'am. We'll heal those wounds in no time." You bring out the bucket of dirt that Xiao managed to give you.

"Shouldn't you do this outside, where it's not gonna be a pain to clean up?" The Yaksha peeps in, receiving a pout from you.

"No, Love. It's too cold outside, their momma could get sick." You're not even sure if that can happen, but better safe than sorry. The guilt will rip you in half if you manage to make the poor slime feel worse.

As you take a handful of dirt in your hand, smearing it in the places where there are wounds and scars, Xiao's eyes follow your movements.

It's so similar, kind of like when you treat his own wounds when he gets into one of those tough fights with demons.

You even comfort the slime the same way, with a soft whisper that everything is going to be alright, that you're trying to make it feel better.

There was a feeling in his chest, a feeling that made him feel so pathetic. Why is he suddenly so envious of that slime?

Maybe it was because, your hands was on something else living that wasn't him? But it's a freaking slime, an injured, mother of three slime at that.

"See, we didn't make that much of a mess." Xiao's attention went back on you as your proud voice rings in his ears.

"And their momma looks so much better!" You scooped the little bit of dirt that fell off onto your hands and back in the bucket.

You smiled seeing the little content expression on the big geo slime. You realized, you can't just keep calling her the "momma geo slime".

"You need a name, huh? How about... Mocha?" You looked back at Xiao and giggled, a sound so beautiful in his ears. "What do you think, Xiao?"

"If that's what you want." He walked closer before sitting beside you. "Mocha, it is."

You said you were gonna let Mocha and the triplets live in the wild again after she and her babies are fully healed.

They've been in the Inn for a month now, sometimes you'd take them on your adventures with the intention of finally letting them go... but you just can't!

You always came back with them in your arms. They've become irreplaceable parts of your heart!

As Xiao was about to ambush a camp of corrupted monsters that's getting close to Wangshu Inn...

"CHARGE!" The tip of your sword was pointed at the direction of the monster camp, Mocha, Champ, Cookie and Sugar bouncing their way to the monsters.

With a sharp inhale, Mocha spat out a gigantic rock at the enemies, instantly crushing two of the monsters.

You ran up to the camp as well, taking on three of them at once, your sharp blade doing quick work of the monsters.

Meanwhile, the triplets had smacked the last three monsters so hard that they think they probably flew into another dimension.

"Hahahah, good job, team!" You exclaimed as you knelt down to the slimes' level, rubbing all of their heads just like they like it.

Xiao felt his eyes narrow, you used to compliment him and give him a little kiss when he would come back to the Inn after fighting off some threatening enemies.

Impulsively, he teleported in front of you, the geo slimes excited to see "that guy that Y/N really loves" again.

"I just wiped out the other camps of monsters..." In the middle of his sentence, he just realized what he's saying. Actually trying to impress you rather than just reassuring words.

You smiled at him, standing back up. "That's great! Verr and Huai'an are gonna be sleeping peaceful tonight!"

Xiao looked at you expectantly, waiting for you to do something... very important to him.

"Uhhh, Xiao?" You just realized that he was staring at you, making you a bit confused.

With a sigh, the Yaksha steps closer to you, the four geo slimes just looking back and forth at your interaction.

"C-Can I get a k-kiss?" His ears turn pink as he says that, your eyes widening at his question.

Oh, My Archons, when did your lover become this cute?!!!!

You giggled, even though the heat rose up to your cheeks as well, "Of course..."

Instead of the usual cheek kiss, you passionately cupped his face, pressing your lips together for a sweet kiss.

So sweet even the slimes felt shivers, and they don't even know what you're doing.

As you both part, you smiled "Are you jealous of the slimes?" You softly spoke, your forehead still against each other's.

...

You already knew the answer, "Yeah, you definitely are." You gave him one final peck before backing up, looking back down at the cute bundles of joy.

"Come on, guys, let's get back upstairs." Before walking away, you looked back at him, a teasing smile on your face.

"Maybe tonight, I'll make it up to you. Some Almond Tofu and.... a chat." His eyes were still blissed out and lips plump from the kiss.

You are a piece of work, "Yeah, a chat."

What a "chat" it was.

(also, enjoy this adorable pic of baby sanji feeding a mouse)

Little Mouse | Sanji X Reader

You messed up.

You scurried through the streets of Loguetown, your tiny paws agilely dodging the feet of all the people milling around.

You really messed up this time.

A couple of marine soldiers were hot on your heels, desperate to accomplish their superior’s bizarre order of capturing a measly little mouse. You reveled in their apparent frustration as they whipped their lowered heads left and right to find you, to no avail. You were too quick for them.

Now that you thought of it, this whole situation wasn’t even your fault in the first place. You prided yourself in being smart enough to know when you were walking into a trap, and you were certainly observant enough to distinguish a lie from the truth.

It just so happened that a member of the pirate crew you were spying on was a fool.

You had been involved in an under-the-table deal with the Marines for over a year now, pocketing Berries in exchange for valuable information that could lead to the capture of East Blue’s most notorious pirates. It was dirty work, and you hated every second of it, but what could you say? Your devil fruit ability was perfect for this and it was a way to put food on your table.

Your mission this time was to scout a small pirate crew, which was affiliated with one of the marine’s bigger targets. You had overheard a crew member telling his captain that they were supposed to meet the “Big Boss” on the western coast of Sixis Island at dawn. You had no suspicions at all that the man was telling the truth, because he had believed the information to be correct. In such a manner, he had unknowingly — luckily for him — passed on false intel to you, and consequently to the Marines. If you had waited an hour longer, you would’ve heard the ship’s captain scolding the man for misinformation following his conversation with “Big Boss” over the transponder snail, which reaffirmed the location of the actual meeting point.

So imagine the Marines’ surprise when they arrived at the western coast to find not a single soul. The pirates, which were positioned on the southwestern coast, were alerted of the Marines’ arrival and successfully launched an ambush, turning the table around and causing an immense loss for the Marines.

The Marines were furious at you. One wrong intel and over a year’s worth of precious, accurate information you provided them went down the drain. You were deemed a traitor, and a bounty was immediately put upon your head.

That was how you find yourself scampering around the streets in a dash toward the harbor. You need to get on a ship and get out of this town as soon as possible. You figured a pirate ship would be your best bet, as they were the least likely to be fraternizing with the Marines.

You were desperately running through the harbor when a stunning caravel with a sheep figurehead caught your eye. You were well-versed in the pirate crews of the East Blue, but you didn't recognize the ship's Jolly Roger — a skull wearing what appeared to be.. a straw hat?

Without a second thought, you snuck onboard, careful to ensure that no marine saw you. You slipped through an open door and found yourself in a quaint kitchen and dining room. You scurried into one of the slightly ajar lower cabinets, and waited.

After what seemed like hours, you heard the crew, which seemed to be a very small one, preparing to cast off from the harbor.

Your nerves started to settle as you felt the ship slowly moving away from the town of the beginning and the end. The exhaustion of the day finally caught up to you, and you found yourself drifting off to sleep to the sway of the ship upon the waves.

The respite was short-lived though, as you were awakened by the clangs of pots and pans. You could only hope that whoever was cooking wouldn’t need anything from the cabinet that you were currently huddled in. But of course, with how your luck was going lately, that was too much to wish for. The cabinet door was suddenly yanked all the way open and you came face to face with a blonde man, his piercing blue eyes wide in surprise. You froze, fully prepared to be met with revulsion, the way normal people react when they see a mouse in a kitchen.

Instead, to your surprise, the young man’s lips curled up into a wide smile, “Oh hey, little mouse. What are you doing here? You must’ve slipped in at Loguetown, huh?”

He picked you up gently and sat you on top of his palm, “Well, aren’t you a cute little fella?”

If mice could blush, you were sure your white fur would’ve turned red all over. No one has ever called your mouse form cute before.

He set you down on one of the long benches on the side of the dining table, and continued talking to you, as if he knew that you could understand him, “A ship’s not a good place for a mouse to live, but since you’re already here, let’s take care of you until we can release you on the next island, yeah?”

He went back to the stove and put a little bit of what he was cooking onto a small plate. The cook placed the plate in front of you, “Dig in, Mouse-chan. I hope you like fried rice.”

The inviting aroma of the warm meal made your stomach rumble, reminding you of how hungry you were. You sniffed around the plate, acting as close to an actual mouse as possible to avoid suspicions, before lowering your mouth slowly and taking a small bite. It took everything in you to remain silent and expressionless as you tasted the most delicious food that you have ever had in your whole life. A few minutes was all you needed to clear the plate. You wished you could thank the chef, but you knew it would be wiser for you to stay in your mouse form in front of him.

“This brings back memories.” He chuckled, though a pinch of sadness was apparent in his smile, “I used to cook for mice when I was little.”

He took away your little plate before serving up the rest of the fried rice onto the dining table, obviously dinner for his crew. He opened the cabinet that he found you in, folded a dishcloth to form some sort of cushion, and put it inside.

He offered his palm to you, and you tentatively jumped onto it. He smiled at your cooperation, then proceeded to place you on top of the soft fabric inside the cabinet, “My crew is a rowdy bunch. It’s probably best for you to stay in there for now.”

He closed the cabinet door, but not all the way, allowing a sliver of light and some fresh air to come through.

The rest of the crew eventually gathered for dinner. You had no intention to spy on them, but old habits died hard, and you found yourself unwittingly perking up your round ears and listening in to their conversation.

You figured out that the crew was composed of at least five people – three more boys aside from the cook, and a girl. They seemed to be on the younger side, and you could tell that the crew was only newly formed.

You were only half-listening as they went on to talk about all sorts of mundane things, until the girl suddenly spoke up, “According to this map, we’re about three days away from the Reverse Mountain…”

Wait… the Reverse Mountain? This small-time pirate crew was heading to the Grand Line? With just five people? You couldn’t believe your ears. You had hitched a ride with a bunch of idiots.

Despite your predicament, a minuscule part of you couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit excited. After all, the Grand Line used to be your dream too, once upon a time. You had fantasized about traveling the world, before reality crashed down upon you and forced you into doing dirty work for the Marines just to survive.

A little voice inside your head told you that maybe sneaking into this very ship was a blessing in disguise. You were a fugitive with a bounty now after all, so what was stopping you from joining a pirate crew and sailing freely in the Grand Line?

The more rational voice reminded you that you were an uninvited guest on this ship. There was no way the crew would take you in – a stranger they knew nothing about, and a stowaway at that. No, you couldn’t dare reveal yourself to them. It was better to get off this ship at the next port and figure out your way from there.

The bustle of the dining room slowly died down as one by one, the crew retired for the night. You heard the sound of dishes being washed, and you felt your thoughts being pulled back to the blue-eyed cook and the kindness that he showed you. If you’ve learned anything from being the user of the Mouse-Mouse Fruit, it's that cooks hate mice in the kitchen. You couldn’t understand why this one treated you differently.

As if summoned by your thoughts, the door to the cabinet opened to reveal the blonde cook, “You doing alright, Mouse-chan?”

You couldn’t help but admire how handsome he looked under the warm lights of the kitchen.

The cook brought a little cup of water and put it beside you inside the cabinet. Once again, you were taken aback by the generosity of this man.

“Sleep tight, I’ll see you in the morning.”

He turned off the lights and headed outside, and before you knew it, a deep sleep claimed you.

You awoke to the crew’s chatter as they had their breakfast. You hadn’t felt this rested in ages. You saw that a block of cheese and some crackers had been placed beside the water, definitely courtesy of the cook, and you nibbled on them gratefully.

The day passed on peacefully, with you taking a much-needed rest inside the cabinet and the cook sparing you spoonfuls of the dishes he was cooking for the crew’s lunch and dinner.

By evening, you were getting a little antsy, the way you always felt when you stayed too long in your animal form. You longed to transform back into a human and stretch your whole body, but you knew it was a risk.

You heard the cook, which you found out from the crew’s conversation was called Sanji, finish cleaning up the kitchen. Just like the day before, Sanji put a cup of fresh water inside your cabinet and bid you good night, then turned off the lights and left the kitchen.

You hesitated for a second. Now that he had left, the kitchen was empty, dark, and quiet. It should be safe for you to transform for a few minutes, right?

Stealthily, you sneaked outside the cabinet, and in the comfort of the unlit kitchen, you turned yourself into your original human form. You stretched your arms over your head, moving them side to side as you extended your spine. You were so focused on the pleasure of being back in your body that you didn’t notice the footsteps heading toward the kitchen before it was too late. There was no time for you to change back into a mouse as Sanji switched on the kitchen lights.

The both of you were frozen to your spots as you sized each other up. Sanji looked you up and down, taking in your fitted white top and pants, before locking his gaze on your face.

His confused expression turned into one of puzzled recognition as he stared into your eyes, the only distinctive feature that you shared with your mouse form. His lips trembled before he sounded out in disbelief, “M-mouse…chan?”

You timidly nodded, heart pounding as you feared what would come next. He would definitely rat you out to his crew, then they would probably throw you overboard.

“I, uh, forgot my cigarettes,” was the only thing Sanji could say amid his shock.

Silence shrouded the room, both of you not knowing what to say, before Sanji finally opened his mouth again.

“Who… what are you?” He asked carefully, in a tone that was filled not with anger, but with curiosity.

“Do you know what devil fruits are?” You uttered softly, revealing your voice to him at last.

Sanji nodded, “Our captain is a devil fruit user. So, you’re one too?”

“Yes, the Nezu Nezu no Mi.” You explained, “It allows me to switch between three forms – my true human form, a mouse, and some sort of human-mouse hybrid.”

He was quiet as he took you in once again, his face lit with wonder. A trail of blood started to flow down his nostril and he quickly wiped it away with the sleeve of his suit.

“Are you okay? You’re not…mad?” You asked hesitantly, before blurting out in one breath, “I’m really, really sorry for stowing away on your ship. You have been nothing but kind to me, and I’ve been tricking you and taking advantage of your hospitality.”

You got down on your knees, “I understand that this is impertinent of me, but I beg you, could you please let me stay until you arrive at the next island? I promise I’ll disappear after that, and I won’t trouble you and your crew ever again.”

Tears started forming in your eyes as you waited for the cook’s verdict. His leather shoes entered your blurry sight as he stepped closer to you. He crouched down before you and tipped your chin up with his fingers, “Of course, you could stay. You could stay however long you like. I don’t know what your situation is, but I would never turn away a lady in need.”

His thumb absentmindedly brushed away the tears from your cheeks as he continued, “I still have to tell the Captain, but I have a feeling he’d be happy to have you onboard.”

“Why?” You asked incredulously, “Why would he be happy to find a stowaway in his ship?”

Sanji chuckled, “Well, for one, you could turn into a mouse. That would be more than enough reason for him to let you stay, or permanently join the crew even.”

At your confused face, he laughed louder and told you, “Trust me, you’ll never meet a man quite like my Captain.”

You slowly nodded, regaining a little bit of composure with Sanji’s reassurance.

“I have one condition, though.” You heard Sanji say as he stood up and offered you his hand.

You felt your heart drop. Of course, he would have a condition. You knew it was not going to be as simple as that.

You took his hand and stood up, lifting your chin in determination, “Name it.”

Sanji grinned cheekily, “Show me your human-mouse form.”

Heat flooded your cheeks at his request. You hated your hybrid form. It was hideous, for goodness’ sake. However, you could not possibly deny the wish of this man, who has shown so much kindness to you.

You let his hand go and took a step back. You drew a shaky breath, before allowing your power to flow over you and shift your body into the only form that Sanji had not yet seen.

You hugged your fur-covered arms insecurely, and nervously looked up at Sanji, expecting to find disgust written all over his face. Yet, his face was filled with what you could only describe as awe. He reached out and ran his fingertips over your whiskered cheek inquisitively, “Beautiful.”

You shivered at his word and his gentle touch, before turning your face away from him in embarrassment and immediately transforming back into a human.

Sanji laughed in amusement at your shyness, “Hey, don’t hide your pretty face from me.”

The heat on your cheeks intensified, and your eyes wandered around the kitchen, trying to find a distraction from Sanji’s gaze upon your face. Your eyes landed on today’s newspaper lying on top of the dining table, the corner of a wanted poster visible from between its pages.

You took out the poster and cringed at the sight of your full name and picture looking back at you.

“Is that you?” Sanji asked, “No wonder I thought your face looked a little familiar.”

He took the poster from you and scanned its content. You felt your heart inadvertently skip a beat as the sound of your name fell from his lips for the first time.

“15 million Berries?” He raised a swirly eyebrow at you, “That’s quite a bounty for a little mouse.”

You sighed, “I guess you deserve an explanation.”

You ended up telling him everything. You weren’t sure why, seeing as he was practically a stranger, but you knew that you could trust him.

You told him about how you left your hometown to go out to sea, filled with dreams of the Grand Line. About how you were stranded on an island with all of your provisions and Berries lost to the sea, and how you ended up accidentally eating a devil fruit to tame your hunger. Of course, you also told him all about how you came to be in this mess with the Marines in the first place.

Sanji was quiet as you talked, only offering small hums and nods to indicate that he was listening. When you finished, he simply thanked you for trusting him with your story.

In exchange, he told you a little about the crew. He told you about his Captain, Luffy, who dreamed of becoming the King of the Pirates. You had initially laughed, thinking that he was joking, before realizing that Sanji was dead serious. You shook your head in disbelief and smiled to yourself, just what the hell were you getting yourself into?

Without even being aware of it, You and Sanji had talked through the night, getting to know one another over cups of tea that Sanji had prepared at some point during your conversation.

The rising sun caught the cook’s attention, and he immediately jumped up to prepare breakfast.

You trembled anxiously at the thought of meeting the rest of the crew soon, not knowing how they would react to your presence.

Sanji noticed and squeezed your shoulder reassuringly, “Everything is going to be alright, Mouse-chan.”

Somehow, you believed him.

You watched the sun creep higher and higher over the horizon, bringing in a new day and hopefully, a new life for you.

Everything was going to be alright.

“Ahaha…” Aether grips the piece of paper and feels as if he started to sweat bullets. He waves his hand and laughs it off. “It’s alright, I don’t really wanna bother them. They must be really busy already,” he concludes and passes the flyer back to Lumine.

“Aether!” Lumine exclaimed. “There’s gunna be other people lining up for the hugs, you know that right?” She was exasperated, Aether could tell, and the more he thought about it the more he just didn’t want to pass up the opportunity, and so, he was in line by 1:40.

you ask him to open a jar that you superglued shut.

includes: xiao, zhongli, ayato, thoma, and itto.

warnings: gender neutral reader, fluff.

notes: please this is the favorite thing i've written so far.

xiao.

xiao prided himself on always being available when you needed help. so when you called him and presented him with a tightly shut jar, xiao was more than accepting to help you open it.

except that he couldn’t.

xiao frowned when the lid didn’t budge. he tried again, repositioning his hands on jar, but still the lid refused to moved. and then again. and again.

it was only when you let out a quiet wheeze did xiao stop. he looked up and saw you, your face flushed from trying to hold back your laughter, tears almost coming your eyes.

“what?” he asked, slightly defensive. “what are you laughing at?”

“you,” you got out between laughs. prephaps not the best way to put it. at that, xiao raised flushed in embarassment, and you rushed to catch your breath and explain.

xiao couldn’t believe he’d been had. especially by you. he threatened to never come to your aid again, especially not for such another “stupid” request. when you pointed out that was an empty threat, xiao only stalked off, not saying another word.

poor xiao. all he wanted to do was help you. now all he could do was sulk in the corner like a scolded puppy, a perpetual frown on his face for the rest of the day.

you better apologize.

zhongli.

zhongli had faced many hardships and challenges in his few thousand years of life, but the small jar in front of him was proving to be one of the toughest yet.

he underestimated its potential when you handed it to him with what he thought was a simple request. zhongli might have even laughed if he got it on the first try after your futile attempts. but he had lost count of how many times he tried to failed to unscrew the lid, and he no longer felt like laughing now.

“it’s like,” he said as he tried yet again, “you superglued it shut.”

“no, i didn’t.” your answer, too quick. too defensive. too prepared.

zhongli paused mid attempt. he glanced up at you, and you saw the realization slowly dawn on him. “you did superglue it shut.”

you shook your head and said again, “what? no, i wouldn’t have, i swear it.”

your smile was nervous and forced and completely guilty. it faltered as zhongli put the jar down, crossed his arms, and gave you a disapproving look. “was this really the best prank you could come up with?”

“i’d like to see you do anything better.”

“is that a challenge?” zhongli asked. he didn’t let you answer. “if so, then i gladly accept. just be warned, [you]. i won’t be holding back.”

his eyes twinkled with all things mischievous. although you might have won this round, you suspected that zhongli would have the last laugh after all.

ayato.

ayato, ever the intellectual, didn’t at first try to unscrew the jar. instead, he immediately began to run it under warm water. then, very unceremoniously, ayato whacked the jar against the countertop. after a few hard strikes, he then attempted to unscrew the lid.

imagine his surprise when his methods of loosening the jar didn’t work. he tried again to the same result.

you should have stopped him then. told him it was a prank, had your laugh, and rested on your laurels.

but no, you decided to wait and prolong the humorous display before you. you watched as ayato moved around the kitchen, grabbing anything and everything that could aid him in his quest to open your jar. a spoon to wedge open the lid. a paper towel to wrap around the base. a bottle opener to try and break the seal.

every single method that could have been found on a random blog was now being done in your kitchen. when, at last, ayato exhausted all his various items after failed attempt after failed attempt, you expected him to give up.

but his face somehow began more determined. you were about to admit to your prank when he cautioned, “stay back.”

you were about to ask why when the flash of ayato’s vision and the quick movements of a hydro sword stopped you. it was over in an instant, and in its wake your jar—

your eyes widened. it was cut cleanly in half.

“well, that certainly did the trick,” ayato said, quite proud of himself.

you stuttered out a string of incomprehensible noises, unable to fully process what just happened.

“although, i might have gone a little too far.” it was only then did you realize that ayato had not only sliced the jar in half, but the entire countertop, too. cleanly down the middle. ayato shrugged. “oh, well.”

you really should have stopped him earlier.

thoma.

how could you do this to poor, sweet thoma? your boyfriend trusted you entirely and genuinely thought you just needed help opening a particularly stubborn jar.

now he only felt bad that he couldn’t. and you didn’t have the heart to admit it was a prank, not after he called ayato and ayaka for advice on how to help you. not after he watched several youtube videos on how to open it. not after he consulted google for the better part of an hour.

you knew that you had to eventually, but as of right now, you were in too deep. prephaps if you got him to stop trying and told him later, it would soften the blow.

“it’s okay,” you said to thoma as he tried yet again. “it’s really fine. i didn’t really need it opened.”

but thoma would not listen. he steeled himself to try again and—

nothing. the lid didn’t budge. the jar remained perfectly shut.

and then your worst fears were realized to be true when thoma put his head down and started to sob. you opened you mouth as he practically shook from crying so violently. the frustration had finally got to him.

“no, thoma, please stop!” you said frantically, immediately pushing the cursed jar away from him.

“if i can’t do this for you, what can i do?”

“don’t say that!” you insisted. and then, without thinking, “it’s just a prank! i glued it shut—“

“so you admit to it?” thoma looked up. no tears stained his cheeks. his voice was completely normal. a hint of a smile even laced his lips. “you admit to pranking me?”

you blinked in surprise. you were played.

thoma trusted you entirely, and he knew you even better. the way you handed him that jar with an innocent little smile… he knew. he knew before you even opened your mouth.

thoma, one. you, zero.

itto.

the first time it wasn’t a prank. when you needed help the previous night to open a subborn jar, you asked itto because you genuinely couldn’t do it yourself.

“that was nothing!” he boasted after opening the jar with ease. “i could do that blindfolded and upside down, [you]. are you sure you just didn’t want to see how awesome i am?”

“i loosened it,” you protested.

“yeah, yeah,” he dismissed you. itto continued in a carefree tone, “listen! it’s fine. i don’t mind help you out. i can open any jar you give me, i promise.”

you raised an eyebrow at that last part. and now, standing before itto once again, a jar you superglued shut the night before in your hands, you decided to see if itto could really make good on his promise. either that, or recieve a rude awakening.

as judging by the amount of glue you used, it was going to be the latter.

“can you please help me with this one?” you asked. your blinked your eyes up at him in a show of innocence. your smug smile was hidden underneath a small pout as you pretended the jar had gotten the best of you.

“another one?” itto asked in mock exasperation. he grabbed the jar from you and said, “watch and learn.”

itto twisted, and—

it opened. the jar opened. itto had opened the jar as if you hadn’t poured an entire bottle of superglue on the lid and rim.

your mouth dropped open. itto offered it back to you and asked, “why do you look so surprised?”

“i…” your voice trailed off. telling itto would only further fuel his ego. and you really didn’t want to deal with him talking about it the rest of the night. “i’m not surpised. thanks for… yeah. thanks.”

itto gaze you a puzzled look. then he shrugged and said, “what’d i tell you? i told you i could open any jar.”

you could only nod in agreement. itto had no idea just how correct that statement was.

OF ALL THINGS, I BECAME A SEELIE!

image

Of all things, you became a seelie when you got isekai’d into your favourite game, Genshin Impact. You decide to make him fall for whatever charms you have left in hopes of being taken in as a pet to survive.

➸ Aether, Dainsleif.

➸ Gender-neutral reader.

➸ Inspired by the manhwa Of All Things, I Became A Crow.

#AETHER

You were ecstatic when Aether chose you over the purple seelie; you didn’t want to be trapped in the glass container you had been captured in for an eternity shortly after being isekai’d into Genshin Impact.

Aether would be surprised by your immense enthusiasm to travel with him, and he laughs softly when you nuzzle his cheek. He certainly picked an affectionate seelie and doesn’t regret his choice at all.

Your intelligence comes as another surprise for him. He knows that seelies are good at finding treasures, but you seem to be a special case as the intelligence you possess is on par with a human’s. You’d help him solve the complicated puzzles scattered around Inazuma, and you don’t hide like his other pets when monsters show up! Like a true companion, you float by his side in battle, empowering him with your moral support. He truly appreciates you.

Aether takes really good care of you, and even Paimon pointed out how he seems to love you more than her. You don’t need to eat as a seelie, but he sometimes forgets that and ends up pushing the food he made against your blob-like body, earning a squeak of protest from you. He also tends to sleep while hugging you like a teddy bear; he didn’t think you were one to enjoy cuddles until he found you all nestled up in his arms one morning.

You’re an adorable and smart seelie, so of course you’d attract the attention of his friends. Childe complimented you on how brave you are to not poof out of existence when there’s danger, and Xiangling commented on how chewy you look… However, Aether’s greatest concern is Ayato; when the Yashiro Commissioner noticed how intelligent and loyal you are, he kept trying to bargain with Aether to keep you as his pet. Of course, Aether would shoot him down every time whilst holding you protectively.

Aether is used to people leaving him - but after embarking on many adventures with you as an extra companion, he can’t imagine things ever being the same if you suddenly disappeared one day. You’ve become an important presence in his life and he swears to protect you from Ayato. You and Paimon will always be with him, right? He didn’t realise he asked the question out loud until he feels you press against his lips, causing his cheeks to flush happily.
