this isnt exactly a rant but something i've noticed:

in fandoms where the majority of fans are made up of younger people (like the grishaverse), i am finding that way fewer people are commenting on fics.

now i'm not complaining about younger fans! i am only 17 myself! but please, please comment on people's fics. it doesnt have to be an essay - it can literally just be a keysmash, a smiley face, a few words, anything really!

but comments are so, so important to fic writers. i genuinely cannot describe how happy a comment makes me when i get one - it's a nice little serotonin boost and it makes me want to write more things! so please, if you want to support fic writers, please consider commenting on our work :D

How to Write a Book When You Don't Have Enough Time?
If you can write for 15 minutes a day, you can finish a novel within a year.

Discipline is far more important than how much time you have to write. You can’t just quit your job or stop going to school to make more time, but you can learn to make more out of the time that you already have.

From My Private Meme Collection. Since I Also Work As An Editor I Often Have To Remind Myself There Aren’t

From my private meme collection. Since I also work as an editor I often have to remind myself there aren’t actually any rules in writing. I’m happiest when I let myself follow my obsessions, my interests, my fancies and caprices–even if that means it doesn’t “make sense,” or the results are weird, or I never finish it, or no one ever wants to read it or publish it, or it’s 5 words long, or it’s written on toilet paper, or whatever. Sharing for whoever needs to hear this today <3

Smutty One-Liners Part VII

"Let me kiss it better."

"You definitely know what to do."

"Why am I the only one naked right now?"

"I just need you to say yes."

"Your screams will wake everyone up."

"We have all night together."

"Let me feel you react."

"What a dirty little mind you have."

"Please, tell me what to do."

"You seem to like what you see."

"Are you looking for your underwear?"

"Oh, you're so sensitive."

"You really are a good boy/girl."

"This is not the time to act innocent."

"Stop looking at me like that or I can't guarantee for anything."

"I'm going to shower now. You're coming?"

"Hmm, maybe I should shut you up now."

"Maybe it's a sin, but I don't care."

"You're such a tease!"

"Oh, we're not done yet."

Prompt #1089: “Why did you come back?” “Because I forgot something important.” “Oh, what did you forget?” “You, you idiot.”

Prompt #1070: “Sorry I tried to kill you.” “It’s fine, but next time you should try harder.”

Prompt #1103: “Stop following me.” “Oh, do you want me to walk beside you? Maybe hold hands with you?”

Prompt #1101: “I’m not the right person for you.” “You’re doing a bad job of convincing me of that.”

Prompt #1082: “You’re just as bad as I am.” “Oh believe me, I’m much worse.”

Prompt #1099: “Have I ever given up on you?” “No, never.” “Then don’t force me to do it now.”

Prompt #1073: Sometimes guardian angels don’t have a lovely singing voice and a set of fluffy wings, sometimes they have a deep frown on their face and a very bad attitude.

Prompt #1078: “Why do you think that you need to fix me? Who told you I was broken?”

Prompt #1062: “Don’t look at me like that.” “How am I looking at you?” “Like you love me.”

Prompt #1092: “If I had asked, would you have stayed?” “You didn’t ask. So we’ll never know.”

Goodbye 2024 and hello 2025! I wish you all a wonderful start into the new year!
