So I’ve Seen Lots Of TUA S2 Discourse About Ben And Klaus And The Posession And How Klaus Is A Shitty

So I’ve seen lots of TUA S2 discourse about Ben and Klaus and the Posession and how Klaus is a shitty person for not telling his family that Ben was there and that Klaus made the mistake first but I just wanna say

First off,

Ben had been treating him like literal shit before they were reunited with their siblings (Belittling Klaus’ trauma and the whole shit show with Dave and calling him a “fling”, being so salty about leaving the cult purely because he has the hots for a girl he’s never talked to). While this isn’t an excuse for Klaus’ shitty behaviour in return, I think a lot of people are glossing over the fact that Klaus wasn’t the only one who started shit here. Like Klaus and Ben are often teasing and getting snarky but this season there are some legitimately cruel shots fired, and most of them are from Ben tbh (not all, I’m not trying to excuse Klaus and that whole ‘you sound like dad’ thing was fucked).

But also - and most importantly -

Ben was the one who chose to stick around. Ben chose to live as a ghost, with the consequences and ramifications of knowing he was giving all real control to Klaus. Klaus was in no way obliged to tell anyone about Ben. Like yes, Ben has feelings and opinions and those are valid but when it comes down to it, Ben is dead. Klaus is not. Klaus is entitled to say or not say what he wants. He is the living breathing human, not Ben. And that sucks and it isn’t fair but that’s how life is. Klaus is not required to be the messenger or the one who speaks to ghosts. He fought literally his entire life to avoid that role because Trauma Child. It’s not up to Ben. It’s up to Klaus. It’d be great for Ben to communicate with his siblings but like, the boy died, that was what went down and ANY extra time or experiences afterwards were not owed to him by Klaus. It’s apparent that Ben could have moved on at any point but didn’t feel ready. (Or at least that was how I saw it based on what Vanya said). Ben hid this and guilted Klaus over the fact for 17 years, or at the very least let Klaus blame himself without correcting him. There’s no way to avoid that is very manipulative, especially when directed at someone who is already a victim of abuse and has suffered a heck of a lot of trauma. Klaus also seems to have no control or choice over Ben and his appearances (besides making him corporeal). Like obviously drugs and alcohol don’t work on him, so it’s not like he’s keeping him around for fun. Klaus is as stuck with Ben as Ben is with Klaus.

I just hate seeing this whole BeN is ImPrIsOnED because Klaus won’t tell the siblings. No. Klaus and Ben are equally trapped by each other. Having the control over the situation also means having the responsibility and the guilt. They are both fucked up trauma babies and they are both trapped by each other and also cling to each other for support. It’s a toxic relationship. But Klaus was entitled to say or not say what he wanted. He doesn’t owe Ben anything. Ben made his choice to stay. That’s not on Klaus.

(Updated March 31,2020) please take your time to read Hi, I’m Danneil John Flores (22 years Old) and I’m asking some donations for my sister’s condition (Sharmaine Ann Flores) since me and my parents are incapable of supporting her right now and most of my savings are all dried out now. Update: February 2020 Sorry for the delay but there was so much that happened in February 2020, My father got hospitalized due to high blood pressure and later on my sister got a unexpected signs of having a stroke due to her heart condition then she got hospitalized for 5 days because the doctor needs to observe her condition, the doctors change some of her medicines and we we’re getting another follow up check up soon, My hands are full since i’m also finding a job and luckily a friend of mine offered me a job so I don’t have much time to update this blog and get it spread everywhere Blog Update: The acc that i use for doing this post was banned, i can’t do anything for it so i’m making this new one.
