Klee strikes me as the kind of kid to 'fall in love' easily aka get massive puppy crushes on adults. Lots of giving awkwardly cut paper hearts with a scribbled drawing. Jean, Kaeya, Sucrose... Even Mona and Eula And Diluc have gotten these.
They find it endearing enough, and Klee usually moves on quickly enough or falls for another kind adult again and goes through it all again.
Albedo seems to be intentionally exempt from these little crushes. Perhaps she truly sees him as family in a unique way.
Xiao: *sitting on top of a building in liyue*
Ganyu: there you are. I was hoping I could find you around the city today.
Xiao: there weren't many demonic presences around to take my time, so i wanted to use my free time to watch the lanterns. It's not like I get many opportunities like this.
Ganyu: i see.
Xiao: do you need something?
Ganyu: Well, I just came to thank you for the qixing flowers.
Xiao: i don't know what-
Ganyu: one of my work partners told me you came through the window just to place a bouquet of them on my table, it was very nice of you.
Xiao: hmph. . .stupid humans with their large mouths
Ganyu: they were quite delicious.
Xiao: *looks back to her* you ate them?
Ganyu: yes! Was I not supposed to?
Xiao: i. . .
Ganyu: *tilts head to the side*
Xiao: *sighs* forget it. Is that why you came here? You didn't have to come all the way here just to thank me.
Ganyu: Well yes, I did want to thank you, but there's something else as well. *quickly goes back inside*
Xiao: ?
Ganyu: I know I'm a day late, I wanted to give you this earlier but I was extremely busy.
Xiao: *mumbles* as always.
Ganyu: *walks out with a jade spear on hand* happy valentines day.
Xiao: *eyes wide* is this my. . .
Ganyu: They found it a while back during an archaeological research. I heard you talking about being difficult to share a weapon with mister zhongli, so i thought you would appreciate it more than the flowers i had in mind originally.
Xiao: i. . .i don't know what to say.
Ganyu: Then don't say anything, instead you could just. . .*pink* share a nice plate of almond tofu with me? I heard you really like those.
Xiao: I. . .wouldn't be opposed to the idea.
Ganyu: *sparkling eyes* Really? I'll go in and ask some for us then. *walks in excited*
Xiao: *red* This woman is going to be my demise, I'm sure of it.
*bônus*
Xiao: DISAPPEAR!!! *summons his mask, delivering several plunge attacks mixed with dashes, killing an horde of hilichurls with ease*
Aether: *eyes wide* wow, he's even stronger than before! How's that possible!?
Zhongli: indeed, not to mention his mood seems to be in a better state as well.
Xiao: That seems to be it.
Aether: It is, thanks xiao.
Xiao: That is my duty, there's no need for gratitude. Hmm? *notices a few blood stains on the spear and sighs, pulling out a piece of cloth and cleaning it*
Aether: since when does xiao cleans his spear? Also, what is this spear?
Xiangling: it looks so cool! where did you get it?
Xiao: it was a present from ganyu. A group of archeologists found it a few weeks ago and she managed to retrieve it for me.
Zhongli: I see. . .never thought I would see you using this spear again.
Xiao: me neither.
Aether: oh, now it makes sense.
Xiao: what does?
Aether: *with a small grin* Well, it's not only your old spear, but it's also a spear that Ganyu surely had a lot of work to retrieve, even with her influence. So it makes sense you would treat it so kindly.
Xiao: *looks away* This spear is nothing but a tool used for killing. nothing more, nothing less. If you think I treat this spear any differently just because it was a gift from her, you're delusional.
Xiangling: *drooling and creeping closer* Then. . .can I borrow it to hunt some strong ingredients?
Xiao: *mask on* TOUCH IT AND I SWEAR YOU WILL NEVER COOK AGAIN FOOLISH MORTAL!!!
Xiangling: KYAAAA!!!! *hides behind zhongli, terrified*
Xiao: *mask fades*
Aether: *Grinning* . . .
Xiao: *looks away, cheeks pink* that does not prove anything.
Aether: Yes it does. I rest my case.
Xiangling: *still shaking and terrified*
Zhongli: *patting her head* there, there.

my take on the scene we didn’t have the pleasure of witnessing
Shiro needs to STOP jumping off buildings.
Hi! I was wondering if you could write a headcanon where Kaz has a nightmare and Inej tries to comfort him? Btw, your writting is so good and Kaz and Inej are so in character, it wouldn't surprise me if you were Leigh undercover :)) ❤️
Ahhh I love this idea! Also, thank you so much, lovely, that’s so nice of you to say ❤️ I hope you like what I came up with!

A/N: You can read more of Kaz x Inej here.

the night was so still that it bothered him
they’d been in the farm house for over a week now
and Kaz hadn’t slept for more than a few hours at a time
his mind craved the noise
didn’t miss it
but craved it
the rustle and bustle of the city, horse hooves on the ground, wheels on wet pavements, gunshots and screams, glass shattering and men howling
all of those made up a lullaby for this monster to sleep
and now the monster was wide awake
staring at the window like Inej used to do in the Slat
he watched the still world out there
hazy memories of him falling over those steps, scarring his knees, pushed at the back of his mind
no matter how much Kaz fixed this house, he would never truly fix himself
heal, yes
but there would always be broken parts
nothing can ever be made whole again once it’s so shattered
Inej stirs on the bed
Kaz looks over to see her turning to his side, her head on his pillow
his gaze travelled back to the window
no, it hadn’t been easy
peace came with a price
he’d gladly pay it
for her
for him, too
but mostly for her
I never thought you’d be married, living in a farm, Kaz, his brother would say if he were alive
Neither did I, Jordie
Neither did I
his mind had been reliving Inej bleeding in his arms
cutting to Van Eck chopping off her legs
right before he awoke, Inej had been screaming, All your fault in his ears
“Kaz.”
Inej joined him on the window seat
this was her favourite spot in the whole house
in the mornings, the sun would make patterns through the lace curtains
and she would read, unbothered by the world, with a cup of tea, before she got to work
sometimes he’d watch her for a little while, just marvelling at her
he breathes a tired sigh now as Inej looks at him
her knee touches his own
instead of pushing away, he leans into that touch
“Nightmares?” She softly asks
his silence is her answer
“What was it this time?”
“You,” he said, his voice a croak, “dying.”
Inej looks out the window for a bit, watching the clouds change colour as dawn slowly arrives. “It will take some getting used to for both of us.”
he nods, but she continues, “Birds have wings since birth, but they don’t learn to fly for a while. You can’t expect to fly so soon.”
“Suli proverb?” He turns his eyes to her
Inej’s hair sticks out of her braid
her cheeks are rosy, as if her skin remembers his kisses
she smiles slightly. “No, just a thought.” She hugs her knees to her chest. “I like it here, Kaz. I like it here more than I thought I could like anywhere.” She breathes in. “It’s going to be a bright day,” Inej says as the first sun rays appear
then she looks at him in reassurance
“You have not lost me,” Inej murmurs to him
“I know, Wraith.” But that’s a lie, really
he’s afraid of losing her everyday, in many ways
Inej says, “When nightmares plague me, I lie very still. I remind myself why I’m still here. Why I still fight. I look at you by my side, and I think of my parents. I think of my crew. I think of all the people we have helped and all of the terrible ones we have doomed, and I tell myself I made it here. Monsters can’t catch you if you outrun them.”
“Wise words for a cripple.”
Inej smiles, slowly takes his hand. “Don’t ruin my metaphor.”
Kaz squeezes her fingers, finding reassurance and comfort in that warmth
so alive, her pulse
so warm, her skin
“I never allowed myself to be lazy before,” she says. “To spend a day in bed.”
“Is that what you want to do?”
“I want you with me,” she says softly, “Whatever awaits us in Ketterdam can wait a few more days. I am not ready to share you.”
Kaz manages a grin. “Come here.”
she does, sitting with him
Kaz opens space for her, and slowly wraps his arms around her with a deep breath, her back pressed against his chest
Inej rests her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. “Kaz?”
“Hm?”
“I remember every kiss you gave me, and every touch, and every word,” she whispers. “I remember having you wake up next to me for the first time, how tired your eyes looked, how messy your hair was. I remember the smile you gave me then, too. I remember it all. I think of that, too, when the monsters try to catch me.”
he doesn’t know what to say
there are too many words in his heart, in his mouth
too many things he wants to confess
he just squeezes her closer to him
and then, when courage arrives, he says, “You give me wings, Inej.” He kisses the top of her head. “You give me wings.”

Brunita, yesterday I saw an Alf x Liza old headcannon and I miss my other babies... Do you have any really cute/fluffy ones? Maybe when they're kids and not together, like 6-7 y/o?
María!! Of course!! My gosh, I missed Alf x Liza SO MUCH. I decided to mix in some Kanej like that nonnie asked, because I miss them just as much :’)
***
A/N: If you guys don’t know about my Six of Crows gen 2, Liza is Kanej’s daughter, and Alf is Wesper’s son! You can read more about those two here.

it didn’t matter that he was a year older
she terrified him
not in the way that the kids at school frightened him, not at all
but in a way that made his heart catch in his throat
that made his chest ache
especially now, as he watched her walk the rope that she’d tied between two thick oak trees, graceful as a bird
ever since they were little, Alf and Liza hadn’t missed a single weekend together
they were inseparable
Alf could remember being smaller and running around in Kaz and Inej’s farm, chasing her through wildflowers and trying not to trip on rocks
he could remember feeding the little ducklings at the pond with her
and saving a little bird that had fallen from his nest - how brave she’d been that day, to climb the tree and place the little one back
“You should be careful,” he tells her now, watching her and wincing with every step she took
she never fell
or he never saw her fall
at last, Liza jumps to the ground, landing like a cat
she smiles tauntingly, “One of these days, you have to stop worrying about every little thing.”
she has grass stains all over her dress
and leaves in her black, wild hair
“Let me have my worry,” he says back, crossing his arms
Liza pushes his blond hair away from his eyes and said, “You worry too much, Alf. One of these days you’re going to get a headache so bad you won’t be able to move. Or you’ll grow another brain so this one can rest,” she pokes the center of his forehead and laughs when he pushes her hand away
the summer afternoons are long and lazy, with them lying on the grass and bathing in the pond, catching frogs just to let them go again
now, she falls backwards, spreading her arms over the flowers
she says, staring up at the sky, “Papa is teaching me card tricks.”
Alf lies down next to her, breathing in the summer air. “Yeah?”
Liza rises on one elbow and looks at him, “I think I’m pretty good at it.”
“You should show me sometimes.”
“I wonder, though, where he learnt it,” she frowns. “Papa is really good at it.”
Alf looks at her. “Ask him.”
“I have,” she says. “But he always says he learned on his own. He never says anything else.”
“Maybe that’s all there is.”
“There’s always more to a story,” Liza murmurs, and lies back down
that makes him think
that’s what she told him once, one day after school, where she’d caught him crying after some kid made fun of him
called him Bastard
Alf didn’t even know what a bastard was supposed to be then - he’d just thought it to be a rude word you called people that you didn’t like
he’d learned over the years what the kid had meant
Alf didn’t have a mother - had never met her
his dads had told him the story - how his aunt Inej had rescued his mother in one of her travels, how she’s given birth to him on that boat, how she’d passed away right after
they’d wanted him to know, they said
they told him what his mother had told Inej that day - the day he was born
they told him of his father, a fjerdan on his way to return to his wife, only to be assassinated on the way to their house
that day, Alf had also learned what assassinated meant
thought his dads had put it gently, Alf had always been a smart kid
he read a lot
so he knew that mean people had done terrible things to his biological parents
he also knew that, if it hadn’t been for Inej, if it hadn’t been for his dads, he probably would never have found himself here - next to Liza, watching the skies, his hair still damp from swimming
Liza had told him, after he’d been angry at the kids for making fun of him, for calling him bastard, “There’s so much more to you than what they think you are.”
there’s so much more to a story
Alf guessed it was easy for her to stay that - she was brave, and unrelenting, and didn’t care what people thought
“”Are you okay?” She whispers to him now, worried, bringing him back to the present
“Yeah,” Alf says. “Just thinking.”
satisfied with that, Liza pats his knee. “I’m going to swim again.”
“I’ll be right there,” Alf murmurs
Liza runs to the pond, and flings herself in, dress and all, startling some ducks that lounged on the grass
Alf watches her, sighing quietly to himself
he never thinks about his biological parents much
his dads are all he ever knew
and they are his, entirely his, even if he isn’t blood
they are his family
as much as Kaz and Inej aer his family
as much as Nina and Matthias are his family
as much as Liza is, too
she calls for him and he waves at her, smiling, mouthing that he’ll be right there
he lies down in the sun for a couple more minutes, thinking
he pities the end his parents got
it unsettles him that there are still people out there that do terrible things to others
it unsettles him even more to know that there are children that will never have his luck
he closes his eyes, trying to push the thoughts away
and then he feels water drip into his face
hovering above him is Liza, smiling down at him
and squeezing the water out of her hair right on top of him
he groans, pushing himself away, “AH! Why would you do that?”
“You were falling asleep in the sun,” Liza laughs. “Look at you - you’re going to get red all over.”
“How friendly of you - to warn me with water on my face.”
she smiles, then takes his hand. “That duck’s been giving me the eye ever since we got here, let’s give him something to talk about to his stupid, snobby friends.”
“Don’t make fun of the duck,” he says, glad to be distracted. “Poor thing.”
Liza scoffs, then sits down at the edge of the pond, before diving down again
the duck flutters his wings and walks away
Alf laughs then, shaking his head, sitting down where she’d previously been, his legs on the water, his shorts wet
she surfaces, then rests a hand on his leg to keep her steady. “You’re not well today.”
she notices everything
that also terrifies him a bit
“I’m just thoughtful,” he splashes her gently. “Let me be.”
“I’ll never let you be,” she shows him her tongue, and he laughs. “Trying to get rid of me will only make me bother you more. What’s on your mind?”
Alf sighs softly, “I’ll tell you one day.”
Liza rolls her eyes. “Tell me tomorrow then. As good a day as any.”
he smiles, watching her swim, opening his mouth to retort-
“LIZA, ALF.”
Alf turns as his uncle limps his way to the porch
“Come back home, dinner is almost ready.”
“We’re coming, uncle Kaz.”
Liza waves, grinning, and Kaz gives her a smile, gesturing with his head for her to come home. “Get yourselves dry, then come eat.”
Liza gives Alf a secret win. “I’ll find out how he knows all those tricks.”
Alf grins. “I suppose you want my help.”
In the kitchen, Inej secretely watches through the window
Kaz comes around, wrapping his arms around Inej from behind her
“Did you see it?” She whispers to him, as Kaz nuzzles his face on her neck
Kaz grins. “She’s good. She’s like you.”
Inej turns to him, biting her lip as if to keep her smile to herself. “Can you believe I taught her that dismount once?”
“I can,” Kaz nods. “She’s your daughter, of course she’s good at it.”
Inej smiles. “She’s her father’s daughter, too. I know you’ve been teaching her tricks.”
Kaz’s chuckle is hoarse and raspy. He says, “She’s too good. I used to go mad with rage because I had to repeat the motions time and time again, but she...picked it up the first time.”
Inej rests her forehead against his chest, smiling to herself
Kaz holds her, kissing the top of Inej’s head. “Eight years ago, I was petrified that I would taint her;” he murmurs, as if he’s speaking to himself. “I thought that, somehow, some of that... darkness would be born in her, too.” Kaz looks out the window thoughtfully, watching as his daughter dances around in the sun. “But she’s the sun.”
Inej looks at him, then touches his cheek. “What darkness?”
“I-”
“What darkness?” She whispers, pulling him down for a kiss
Kaz breathes against her, leaving his cane on the side, his hands touching the counter behind Inej
she pulls back with a smile, then kisses the tip of his nose. “That is lives’ away. Think only of light, Kaz. That is our life now.”
he nods, speechless, his brow touching hers
the garden door opens, and Liza stands there, making a face, Alf on her heels. “Gross,” she tells them both, before making her way to the table
Inej pats Kaz’s chest, laughing softly to herself
they share a look, but say nothing as they depart, and join the children at the table.

Jerza + Wendy: Dad
“Shh…” Erza laughed a little as Jellal leaned over to press a kiss to her cheek. “Shh…! Don’t wake her up!” Wendy was fast asleep, pressed between the two of them on the couch, blanket wrapped snuggly around her shoulders, popcorn bowl set aside on the coffee table.
“She fell asleep during the movie,” Jellal grinned, “I think she’s not going to wake up any time soon.”
“It’s late,” Erza murmured. The TV was glowing in front of them, on the home screen for the film. “We should get her into bed.” Between them, Wendy jerked a little, as if she was dreaming. Erza paused, watching the girl closely. Another nightmare…? She glanced over at Jellal, their eyes met. She could see he was worried as well. Wendy had nightmares every so often. They were always bad. The girl between them let out a whimper—she was afraid. Her eyelids fluttering.
“D-Da…!”
“Wendy!” Erza whispered, “It’s just a dream, dear, wake up!”
“Dad!” Wendy shuddered in her sleep, and then her voice rose to a scream. “Dad! Dad! N-no! Dad!”
“Wendy!” Jellal gently shook the girl’s shoulder, “Wake up! It’s just a dream, it’s just a dream!”
Wendy’s eyes fluttered open. She was only conscious enough to realize she was alright, realize she had been dreaming. “D-dad…” she mumbled, dropping into his arms, “You’re okay… you’re…” she was asleep again before either of them had time to ask her if she was alright.
For a moment the room was silent. Erza’s eyes met Jellal’s and her lips turned up in a bright smile. “Dad.” She mouthed.
Dad? Jellal glanced down at the girl in his arms. Do I… really deserve to be called that? Was she dreaming about someone else…?
***
When Wendy woke up her body was sore. I had another nightmare. Her body was always sore after the bad ones. She felt guilty. That means Mom and Jellal had to deal with it. Her gut twisted in knots. She hated that. That she was such a burden to them. She hated her nightmares—how she could hardly remember them when she woke, only flashes, and how Erza and Jellal always remembered them and how she screamed for them.
Those nightmares… they were always the same. She could always remember flashes—Acnologia…. And someone she loved being hurt—right in front of her. It made her feel sick. Just don’t think about it now. It’s over. She slipped out of bed, her muscles protesting, pulling on her warm knit sweater and slipping into slippers. It was early, she left her hair down, tiptoeing downstairs to the kitchen to get something for breakfast. She was hoping no one else would be awake, but Jellal was sitting at the table, reading a book and sipping tea. He glanced up when she stepped in.
“Good morning,” he said, smiling a little. “Do you want some tea?” She nodded once, and he got up to grab a mug, filling it with the warm drink and setting it in front of the chair next to his. “Come sit down.” She padded over to the table, pulling out the chair and dropping down to sit next to him. The tea was hot, so she wrapped her hands around the ceramic mug to warm them, and let the steam warm her face.
“Thank you,” she said softly.
“You’re welcome,” Jellal responded. There was a pause, before he said, “Wendy, there’s something I want to ask you.” Wendy glanced up at him to meet his eyes. “Do you… want to call me ‘Dad’?”
Her eyes widened, and she glanced down at her hands. Why is he…? Suddenly she remembered waking up the night before, screaming for him—screaming Dad.
“I… If you… I mean, if you… if you’re…”
Jellal laughed a little, reaching out to pull her into a gentle hug. “I’d like that, if that’s what you want.” Wendy felt tears sting the corners of her eyes, as she gripped Jellal’s shirt and held him tight.
“Yes!” She whispered. It made her heart warm. I have a mom and dad. She smiled, holding Jellal close. I have a mom and a dad.
