made this mostly with the Flat 1 Texture brush from Maddy Bellwoar's Gouache Brushes pack! It's got some pretty fun textures in there as well as some nice foliage stamps and brushes, highly recommend! (and thanks to @ephemeral-roses for recommending it to me!)

Animation tips

Forgot I had these! These are redlines I did for Mathieu Hains (who animated the beautiful color segment). This was from his first blocking pass

Was a very good lesson in "why turnarounds and expression sheets are important" and "your boards will not always be interpreted by an animator the way you see it in your head"! All Mathieu had to go off of was my boards and the original character sheets (VERY limited reference haha) but he's also a great artist so he created a very solid foundation and my redlines were just to help guide the drawings to what I imagined

I'm glad I'm not the only one who now knows what color belongs to what kid. The art work is nice though and the one showing Doey angry is very interesting and different from what I've seen

Mob had no right to not keep the book side quest in the game. How dare they. My guy Doey deserved some happiness in this chapter damN.

i absolutely loathe that the only thing truly standing between me and replicating S1/pilot era LO art perfectly is fucking phOTOSHOP

do i have access to photoshop??? yes.

do the kyle webster brushes look 10x better in photoshop than they do in clip studio??? yes.

am i willing to switch from clip studio to photoshop for all my character flatting??? idk if that's a sacrifice i'm willing to make- 😭
