the anime youtubers’ bane; the four horsemen

catra things idk

glimmer: “so i looked it up, and having an animal companion technically qualifies you as a princess.” catra: “i will literally eat your entire face.” 

the princesses have to start the whole “teach the horde kid how to be a person” process all over again 

catra: “wtf is a brunch?” 

adora: “it’s a part of a tree, catra.”

bow has an entire album filled with photos of catra doing cute cat things and has a will prepared in case she ever finds out he has it. adora contributes most of the content. 

perfuma goes around etheria saying how great a meditation buddy catra is but catra doesn’t have the heart to tell her that she’s just napping the whole time 

adora spread a accurate rumor that catra was the little spoon and everyone gave her so much shit for it she went off the grid with melog for two whole days. 

catra brainstorms with adora on how to get mermista to warm up to her after the whole salineas thing, and what eventually does it is helping mermista take down the hit man who’s been stalking sea hawk for like three weeks.

mermista: “she’s like…really good at setting things on fire.” 

adora: “so i’m chaperoning all of your friend dates ok?” 

catra has a whole wall in her closet devoted to finding out netossa’s weakness because she won’t let the spray bottle incident go 

an entire princess alliance meeting was devoted to deciding whether catra should grow her hair out again and it got so ugly they had to throw the minutes out. 

afterwards, catra asks melog how hard it would be to create an illusion that would make her look bald for the next meeting

the only princess that catra is scared of is frosta and she will take that shit to her grave

Before watching s5: Hmm, I’m not sure how I feel about the possibility of Catra being redeemed and getting set up with Adora. She did some pretty despicable things and I don’t even know if it would be possible for her to have a believable redemption arc-

After watching s5 where Catra acknowledges everything she did wrong, apologises and spends the rest of her time onscreen trying to make up for it and becoming a less toxic person, repaying Adora for her stubborn loyalty and engaging in adorably reciprocated flirting, culminating in one of the most beautiful love confession scenes that I’ve ever had the privilege to witness:

I had a sort of revelation recently. A lot of scenes Ive seen on tv were not as strange as I thought, I just wasnt picking up on the ~sexual tension~ and it made the scenes a lot more awkward and weird than intended lol

mhm yeah I see this played out two ways with aces. Either they are HYPER aware of it or woosh over their heads and it always makes the situation have like a stat boost to awkwardness either way lol 

i think another reason why the best friend squad works so well w catra is the fact that they ALL pick on each other and not just specific targets like kyle and catra.

catra sasses them, and instead of being threatened, they laugh it off and even jabs back at her.

glimmer expresses SO much love for catra, even kissing her cheek? and catra being catra “hates” it but still lets it happen

bow teases her instead of straight up bullying her? he also lets catra playfully shove him cus he knows play fighting is something she enjoys

adora and catra have their own little banter and love language that even bow and glimmer sometimes dont get

and they include her??? in so much????

there’s so much love in there???? and catra’s just being fed w all that goodness????

Hey so it’s totally okay if you change your labels or pronouns more than once. You’re allowed to do that. I’ve come out three times. I thought I was bi, but that wasn’t quite right. I thought I was pan, but something still wasn’t quite right. I came out as demisexual/grey ace and that - that finally felt right. You could still use pan/bi to describe me if you wanted to, but coming out as part of the asexual spectrum helped me feel like I was being most true to myself. And that’s the thing that matters - how you feel about the word or words you use to describe yourself.

Thought you were bi, but now lesbian feels correct? Cool! I’m happy for you! Thought you were non-binary but no longer think that’s accurate for yourself? Okay, cool, what pronouns do you want me to use?

It’s okay to question more than once. What matters is how you feel about your labels - if you even want to use any at all. Only you get to describe your sexuality and gender. And if you need to come out more than once to do so, that’s totally cool. I support you.

To all the aphobes who say queerplatonic relationships aren’t real, who say we’re the ones who make friendships out to be less than, let me tell you something:

I love my friends, from the bottom of my heart, I love my friends, I’ve told them that, on multiple occasions

I’ve cuddled with friends, I’m a cuddly person, unless it’s a friend who isn’t big on touching, I’ll cuddle them and hug them, I like being close to people, it’s where I feel comfortable and my friends know that

I’ll sit in my friends laps, usually when there are no other seats available and we both want to sit, sometimes just because

I’ve shared beds with my friends, I really don’t get why this is awkward for some people, I heard people freak out over the idea of sharing a bed with anyone other than their romantic/sexual partner, you’re literally just sleeping next a person, why is it a big deal

Every present I get my friends is chosen with care, none of that last minute, didn’t even bother wrapping it crap, one of my friends and I actually have a tradition of handmade gifts, not that I don’t hand make gifts for my other friends, but we exclusively give handmade gifts to each others, it’s kinda our thing

I share deeply personal things about myself with my friends and they do the same, we are each others emotional anchors

I recently had a friend cut me out of their life, no reason given, no good-bye said, we’ve known each other over a decade and I had to find out they left the country from a family member, it broke my heart, I’m still in pain over it, I really loved them and it hurts deep to know they didn’t feel the same

My friends mean the world to me, they are some of the most important people in my life and I feel so lucky to have each of them, but:

I don’t plan on permanently living with any of them

I don’t plan on having a joint bank account with any of them

I don’t plan on raising kids with them

I don’t plan on making all my all my life plans with them

If things change, if I wanted this with one of my friends, I wouldn’t consider it a friendship anymore, it’s something different

Not more than, not less than, different

I love my friends with my whole heart, wanting a life partner doesn’t change that

so i’ve been trying out dating again and i came to the conclusion that i might not be as allo as i thought
