the only real good ship dynamic: tragic hero x person with genre awareness
So ok, I confess that I’m not actually super duper into Solangelo. I like it. But then I came up with an idea that could make for a sad-cute story. When Nico loves somebody, he puts his whole heart and soul on the line for that person. He’ll risk everything for the people he holds dear. He doesn’t care about himself much because the world doesn’t end with his pain - the world ends with their pain. Nico wants happiness, he reaches for it like the cold reaches for warmth. When Nico loves you he does so unconditionally with his whole being. I think if Will got in some kind of godly trouble and got turned into a sunray as punishment (or Apollo saves him by doing so? like how zeus turned thalia into a tree to keep her safe), Nico di Angelo would go on an epic quest to undo it - if it so kills him. And so Nico gets to save somebody for a change. I’m too lazy to write that into fiction, maybe I’ll do it someday but, eh. This song is the inspiration for this picture and it got me into solangelo feels.
I'm gonna throw myself out of the window now thank you
great it's pick your stalker: old aristocrat lady, drowning people or the ever beloved mr. murderpuppet wtf

if something happens to Colin or Teddy while Alice went to deal with the hilltop situation my girl better not feel guilty
Coldplay’s “The Scientist” except it’s 2023 and it’s playing on the crappy radio in your lab while you nurse a mug of coffee and try to forget about the looming apocalypse, and there are experiments to do but you just need a few minutes to breath and listen to the steady sound of your labmate writing equations on his chalkboards, and you’re a little bit in love with him and a little bit in love with monsters at the end of the world.
really felt called out at the beginning with her begging the archivist to make her feel afraid again . . .
