I just want to sit in daddy’s lap… wait what? 👀
I hate when writers become so misogynistic towards women. Like please STOP using women as a tool just for a plot line especially for those female characters who already have so many layers just to be reduced as a plot tool for the story and general audience… they’re more than just being seen as a pusher for something.

after getting eddie's number from rick, she returned to her trailer, setting her bag on the counter and grabbing the phone off the receiver on the wall. she dialed his number, shifting her weight from foot to foot as the phone rang. after a minute, the phone was answered.
"hello?"
it wasn't eddie's voice.
"oh, hello," she began, a bit embarrassed. had she dialed the wrong number?
"you need somethin'?" the voice asked.
"uh, do you know an eddie munson? i—i was told this was his number..."
"oh," the man huffed a laugh, "yeah, he's my nephew, lives with me. you jus' missed him, actually. jus' left for a campaign or whatever the hell he calls 'em. he should be back tomorrow mornin' if you wanna call back then."
"okay, thank you so much," she replied.
"i'll tell him you called if i see him, leave your number on the counter if you can give it to me."
she gave him her number then the two said their goodbyes. she returned the phone to the receiver and began making herself dinner.
the following morning, she woke up to the phone ringing. she contemplated ignoring it, but when she remembered the phone call from last night, she scrambled out of bed. she rushed to the phone, grabbing it off the receiver.
"hello?" she questioned, sounding quite excited.
a familiar chuckle came from the phone.
"you called last night, sweetheart?" eddie asked.
her face flushed.
"yeah."
"how'd you get my number?"
"rick gave it to me."
"of course he did..." he sighed. she could practically hear the smirk on his face.
"sorry if i'm bothering you, i just..."
"wanted to go out with me?" he guessed.
"yeah," she admitted.
"you free tonight?"
"yeah, do you have somewhere we can go?"
"you like swimming, sweetheart?"
"yeah?"
she felt embarrassed saying "yeah" for a third time, but it was too late for her to say something different.
"i'll come get you tonight, wear a swimsuit and bring extra clothes."
"okay."
"bye, princess."
"bye, eddie."
she hung the phone back on the receiver, face flushed.
did she spend the whole day picking a bikini to wear, extra clothes, styling her hair, and doing her makeup? yes.
when eddie pulled up to her house at 5:30, she was sitting on the porch. she stood, walking down the steps and rushing to the passenger side of his van. she wore a pair of denim shorts over her bikini bottoms and just a bikini top, her extra clothes in her backpack.
"you ready, baby?" he asked, grinning.
"yeah," she stated, smiling in return.
ten minutes later, they pulled up to lover's lake.
"really?" she giggled.
"what?" he retorted, grinning.
"lover's lake?" she pressed.
"there's no other lakes nearby."
"uh huh. right."

Piercings
overview: she's a new piercer at the tattoo & piercing shop he usually goes to; and she's the only one available when he gets the spontaneous urge to get a new one.

she sat at the front desk, feet propped up and magazine in hand. elvis presley's trouble played from the cassette player on the back counter. as she flipped the page, she heard the familiar jingle of the bell above the door. she looked up.
"you're new here, sweetheart," the man stated, leaning against the counter.
"uh, yeah," she muttered, taking her feet off the desk and setting her magazine aside.
"you do piercings?"
she replied with a nod.
"any kinds?"
another nod, this one a bit more hesitant as confusion flickered in her eyes.
"can you pierce my nipples for me then, princess?" he questioned, grinning like an idiot.
"well, if you're paying, yeah," she replied, smiling softly.
he pulled a wad of cash out of the pocket of his leather jacket, counting it quietly to himself.
"is eighty bucks enough? i brought my own jewelry for them."
she looked at a sticky note on the desk lamp, where all the prices were written.
"i just need sixty."
he nodded, passing her the sixty dollars.
she put the cash in the register and began gathering what she'd need.
"you alright with doing it right here?" she asked. "you're back to the windows, obviously."
there were no appointments for the rest of the evening, and most people didn't come in this late spontaneously. well, unless those people were the man before her.
"what's your name, by the way?" she inquired as she prepared the needle.
"eddie," he stated, pulling off his band t-shirt and sitting on the stool.
"oh, i remember rick mentioning you now," she giggled softly. rick was the owner of the shop. today was one of the few days that he wasn't in the shop, as he was recovering from a nasty head cold.
eddie chuckled as well, but his gaze never left her.
"you want something to bite down on or are you gonna be a big boy?" she asked, grinning.
"wait, you're not numbing my nips?" he retorted, dramatically baffled as he slapped his hands over his chest.
she snorted softly, letting out another giggle.
"did you do any research before coming here?"
"no, i thought you pierced them like ears!"
she let out a loud, hearty laugh, gripping the counter as she doubled over.
eddie grinned, blatantly enjoying that he had managed to make her laugh. nancy had actually done the research for him, as he insisted that "she'd understand it and dumb it down for him," and she did. so, he knew, he just wanted to if the new girl was snobby or actually cool. and, his suspicions were confirmed, she was awesome.
she calmed down and walked over to him, hollow needle in hand.
"where's this jewelry of yours?" she asked.
he pulled out the jewelry from his pocket, showing her like a toddler shows a stranger random bugs they found in the park. one was an average bar, while the other was a bar with some dangling pieces.
she giggled at his enthusiasm of the pieces, nodding.
"very nice. does it matter which side they go on?"
"they'll go on whatever side you wanna see them on, princess."
another soft snort erupted from her, but she nodded.
she held the needle beside his left nipple, ready to pierce the tender bud.
she glanced up at him, checking to see if he'd back out last second.
"are you just trying to keep me shirtless longer?" he asked.
rolling her eyes and huffing out a laugh, she pierced his nipple. he winced slightly, but quickly shook it off.
she took the bar from his hand and quickly undid it, sliding it into the new opening before twisting the end back on.
"you good to do the other?" she questioned.
he nodded.
she pierced his right nipple and quickly put the piece of jewelry in.
as she began cleaning up, she spoke again, "clean them every few hours with rubbing alcohol, don't sleep shirtless, and don't go swimming anywhere for the next six months, got it?"
he nodded, pulling his shirt back on.
"why'd you get them, anyway?" she asked as she watched him walk towards the door.
"'cause you look like the kinda girl who'd like them, sweetheart."
with that, he shot her a wink and left. he had been questioning to do it and had bribed nancy to do the research, but he hadn't been dead set on getting them until her saw her.
her face flushed, watching through the window as he walked away.
she quickly grabbed the phone, dialing rick's number. when the older man picked up, she didn't give him a chance to speak.
"can you tell me more about eddie?"
