I'm still stuck on the fact I legit saw someone with the take that "Marriage has nothing to do with amatonormativity and was made to protect you" like in what fucking world are you living in because the last time I checked, in the real world, marriage was created and used as a form of control not fucking protection. It is used to control women. It is used to control the rights of queer and disabled people. It was used to control people of color and mixed raced couples. It has always been a form of control. They are withholding rights from those the government doesn't accept as in a LEGAL PARTNERSHIP; because amatonormativity isn't just about romance but about the relationship heirarchy that places MARRAIGE at the top and the idea that society believes you MUST have a partner or else you're a freak and a failure.

To have that take you would have had to ignore the mass amount of evidence proving how harmful marriage has been. How marriage is a common thing abusers use to trap their victims and take control of their lives. How many woman were married to men they hated because otherwise they couldn't get a bank account or house. How disabled people are made to become reliant on their partner and get stuck in abusive or toxic relationships due to that. How even if you divorce you could still lose EVERYTHING because marriage doesn't give you rights to the house. How many marriages require PRENUPS to PROTECT YOU from getting screwed over by your spouse in the chance of a divorce - because again; marriage doesn't give you rights to the house. Different states and different counties will have different laws and those laws were never meant to protect anyone. They were made purely for control.

You are ignorant at best or malicious at worst if you think that marriage shouldn't be criticized when talking about amatonormativity.

As someone who's had crushes before (and don't know if I'm lithromantic or if I just fall out easily), I have to say, amatonormativity fucking SUCKS.

"Yeah if you like someone, you must want them to be only YOURS!1!1!1! That's right, no friends, no other relationship, just you and that person!!! Your ENTIRE life must revolve around them", What??? Why would you need to be possessive to like someone? Why can't people just chill? Not only stuff like polyamory exists, but also cutting someone from everyone but you is fucking toxic as hell and a recipe for disaster.

Why can't most people just chill and be like "Yeah you can like someone and have a normal life, it's not that life changing just a cool thing that happens to some people, but you can be perfectly fine without it"? I swear to whatever's up cooking the universe, some people are showing monogamy, toxic romantic ideals and amatonormativity down everyone's throats way too much. No wonder why some allos are arophobic, they think they're going to die without a romantic relationship, which is... far from healthy.

Amatonormativity condones sexism:

• The assumption that men and women mostly hang out together if they’re interested in conjugal sense each other

• Men have to initiate conjugal gestures and dates first

• Women can prioritize their relationships because she is a woman and she allowed to do so.

• Men should prioritize their girlfriends because he is a man and he has to do it so in order to be a respected partner.

• Only men like and want marriage

• All women want marriage

• Men must have a partner in their lives or else they are not okay.

• A woman being jealous and emotionally clinging possessive of a man is “romantic”

• If a woman turns down a guy’s conjugal advances (want to be her boyfriend), she’s “missing” and should’ve “thought about this”

• If a man turns down a girl’s conjugal advances (want to be his girlfriend), he’s “afraid of commitment” and prone to “cheating”

• Men must prioritize partnership in their lives or else they are not man enough.

• All women desire a passionate zealous man who loves them ardently 24/7 or else there’s something off.

• All romances are couple genres

• All significant others are partners

• All lovers are partners

The last actual drawing the gang of the year: Winx season 2 electric bogaloo.

We've got five enchantix and one dark onyrix. I suffered a LOT for the details on the onyrix one with all the small beading and the little flowers and stuff but it really paid off a lot.

I think I could have done better with the wings on some of them? The green enchantix one was designes by the person on the pic herself and I think she did an amazing job. The wings of the red fairy also look really nice and I think, out of the ones I made, probably looks the most enchantix-y.

I think I also nailed the wings of the onyrix one, I was given the wings of a nightjar bird for reference and black/purple/silver as a colourscheme and over all I'm suuuper happy with how they look.

The pink/cherry blossom themed fairy I think turned out pretty well too but I feel like I made the wings too believix-y, like they are too wide and big and not butterfly enough to fit the enchantix vibe.

The purple and blue fairy have the same issue but instead of believix I feel like I made it more bloomix? but over all I like them a lot with all the little details.

This project took me very very long bc I started working fulltime and now only have time/energy on the weekends to draw so this will be my last drawing project for now until I get setteled into work properly and got out of the initial mega-exhaustion phase that is to be expected when you go from doing basicly nothing to doing a full time job of physical labour and being on your feet for 9hours a day (but i get to smell and eat bread and pastries so it's fine uwu)

I thank all my homies over on discord who participated in all my projects thus far for all the cool and creative ideas they let me draw and also for putting up with me sobbing when I draw on the wrong layer for 2 hours again without noticing.

REAL. Fuck Amatonormativity. I think it's more fucked up that some of y'all are too obsessed with finding romantic conjugal love that you dehumanize people for the sake of your own "delusion". Touch grass. Be a better friend. Try to have a genuine heart. Partnership isn't "Everything".

Except it's not resolved in a way where everyone else was right, for once. Because relationships are defined by the people in them and actually everyone else is just suffering from amatonormativity poisoning. And in fact everyone else getting on their case is shown to be annoying and invasive.
