About Mokkorin:
I like to paint and fall asleep to the sound of rain. I’m currently a second year environmental science student.
What do you like about Ochako the most?
She’s so round and cute, I really like drawing her. But the thing that stood out to me the most is her hardworking nature and perseverance despite all the struggles she faces. It really hits close to home for me ミ☆
Shouyou’s grin widens. But then, he frowns. “I feel bad for Tanaka-san. I don’t think I’d be a good boyfriend.” He tilts his head. “But it would be nice to date someone I liked.”
“Is there.” Kageyama clenches his hands on the railing. “Is there someone you like?”
“I don’t know.” He runs through the possibilities as he talks. “I’ve never considered it. The only person I’m interested in is you.”
A beat of silence passes. And then, Shouyou’s words catch up to him and the whole day of confusion, of the confession, of his obsession with Kageyama hits him full force.
He groans and sinks to the ground. Grabbing his knees, he curls into a ball. “Is there anyway you can forget what I just said?”
Kageyama sits down far more gracefully. He pats Shouyou on his shoulder. “No.”
Shouyou whines. “I was just—it’s admiration or yeah, let’s go with that but um, well. Please?”
“You like me.”
“I don’t know! Maybe! Probably!?” Shouyou muffles his voice with his palms. “Doesn’t that bother you?!”
Kageyama continues to rub his back. “No.”

Title: Coffee + Cream
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Pairing: Midoriya Izuku/Todoroki Shouto

Summary: Shouto, a student at university, relies on coffee to get him through his semester. What will he do when his favorite cafe is closed for renovations?
________________________________________________________________
University was kicking Shouto’s ass. With finals seasons only a month away, his professors had decided (like they were trying to screw their students over, he thought) to kick it into high gear. He had numerous projects and essays to finish, some worth over half his grade, and they were really running him ragged as he attempted to complete them all. Not unlike most students, he debated dropping out during the many nights he spent awake until the early hours, contemplating whether it would be better to just go to sleep and accept failure.
Luckily, Shouto had a cure for getting through his many sleep-deprived days: a latte with four extra shots of espresso and steamed almond milk, prepared for him by his favorite coffee shop. It was nearby his apartment, so he could stop by before class and enjoy the caffeine energizing his system.
However, today, on a morning when he desperately needed the caffeine boost, a notice on the café door destroyed all his plans.
“Closed?!”
The café was apparently going through renovations for the next few weeks, meaning Shouto would be unable to indulge in his caffeine kick until then. Frustrated, Shouto blew piece of his hair away from his face.
Well. This sucked.
Shouto checked the time on his phone. If he went to a different café, he could still be on time to class. He searched for nearby coffee shop on his phone, clicked the closest, and started his journey to the café.
The air blew through his long hair, his long locks flowing in the wind. He tried to keep the hair away from his face, but the waves had a mind of their own. Whipping out a hair band from his wrist, he tied his hair back, keeping his speed as he walked. He kept a fast pace, used to the exertion due to his agile livelihood. Weaving through passerbys, Shouto made sure he followed the directions on his phone.
He made it to the café in a timely manner. The shop was still fairly close to his apartment, and on the way to his class, according to his phone. Shouto locked his screen and pushed the door open into the warm coffee shop.
Blissful scents of baking pastries and hot coffee greeted his nose. The coffee shop had a lot of people in it, the patrons’ conversations creating a cacophony of sound. Shouto looked around the warm room, thinking the modern decorations were very attractive. He flitted toward the short line, repeating his memorized order in his mind, just in case he forgot it.
He reached the front of the line quickly, and after glancing at the menu, prepared to give the cashier his order.
“Hello, yes, I’d like a latte—”
Shouto cut off, finally meeting the eyes of the person at the register.
Woah.
“Sorry, what did you want? You kind of cut off right there,” the cashier said, laughing.
Shouto’s mind went completely blank, mesmerized by the eyes of the cashier. They were green, shining in the café light, and matching his whirlwind of tousled curls. He had a cute nose, with a smattering of freckles across his flushed cheeks. His bone structure gave him the appearance of softness, but a hidden strength underneath.
Well. Maybe not hidden, Shouto thought, looking down to the man’s chest. The wide breadth of the smaller man’s chest was obviously muscular, obvious even with his clothes.
“Uhhhhhhh—”
“Oh! Do you need any help? I can probably whip something up if I know what you like.” The man smiled at Shouto again, and Shouto, who had finally regained some semblance of sanity, short-circuted. Wow. His smile could light a thousand forest fires.
Shouto shook his head, trying to restart his brain. Though he already knew what he was going to order, he wanted to keep talking to the cute cashier. “What do you suggest?”
“Hmm.” The cashier tapped a pen against his chin. God, that was adorable. “It’s cold out, so I wouldn’t suggest anything frozen or iced, unless you plan on staying inside. I generally enjoy warm drinks anyway, like lattes or cappuccinos. Depending on if you like it sweet or bitter, I can add syrups or use less milk. We also have dairy substitutions, if you’re into that. It really depends on how strong you like your coffee. Or if you like espresso in the first place. Maybe you’d just enjoy a black coffee. Do you like espresso?”
Shouto blinked back at the cashier, who turned a deep red. The cashier scratched his neck, grinning sheepishly. “Uh, sorry. I tend to ramble a lot, especially when I’m nervous.”
Shouto’s lips twitched. This man was getting cuter by the minute. “Why would you be nervous?”
“Uh-well-that’s—ahaha.” The man turned an even deeper red, fiddling with his pen and mumbling. “I tend to get nervous around pretty people.”
It was Shouto’s turn to blush. He laughed awkwardly, and the green-haired man let out a few awkward chuckles of his own. “Uh. Thanks. You’re not so bad yourself.”
The cashier’s face brightened, somehow appreciating Shouto’s lame attempt at a compliment. “Thanks! Now, did you still need help, or do you know what you want?”
Shouto finally remembered his purpose for coming the shop. He shook his head again, trying to find his train of thought. “I’d like a latte, with almond milk and 4 extra shots of espresso.”
The cashier blinked back at him. He laughed. “Woah, alright, then. I guess you need your caffeine.”
Shouto chuckled. “You have no idea.”
The cashier smiled, writing his order on the cup. “Do you have a name for that order?”
“Shouto.”
The cashier smirked. “Shouto. That’s a nice name. A nice name for an even nicer person.”
Shouto tried to think of a witty response, but his tongue was all tied up at the sight of the beautiful man in front of him. Finally, he managed to say, “What’s your name?”
The cashier winked, pointing to his nametag. “Izuku.”
“Ah. Izuku.”
“Are you going to continue to stare or will you let me make your order?” Izuku smiled, twirling his pen around.
“Ah. Right. You should. Go. Do that.”
Izuku laughed, beginning to prepare Shouto’s drink. “I can still talk while I’m working.”
“What about your other customers?” Shouto asked.
Izuku laughed. “Do you see anyone else waiting?”
Shouto looked around. Everyone else had already been served, and he was the only one left in line. “Oh.”
Izuku chuckled again. “So, Shouto. Are you on your way to class this morning?”
“Ah, yes.” Izuku nodded, urging Shouto to continue. “It’s a literature class.”
“Oh, are you studying literature?” Izuku asked, as he prepared the espresso shots and steamed the milk.
“No.” Shouto shook his head. “I’m studying law. It’s just an elective class I thought would be fun.”
“Oh, cool,” Izuku said. “I’m studying pre-med. I hope to become a doctor of some kind. Maybe an anesthesiologist or a surgeon of some sort? I’m not really sure, right now. Hopefully I figure it out soon.”
“Wow,” Shouto said. “That’s amazing. I have a great respect for those pursuing medical degrees. It seems very challenging.”
Izuku laughed, as he poured the shots and steamed milk together. His deft hands poured the milk gently, holding back the foam with his spoon. “Thanks. Luckily, I was blessed with a very analytical mind, so studying comes naturally to me.”
“That’s awesome,” Shouto said. A cute guy with an ambitious attitude. How was he already enthralled with this man, only a few minutes after knowing him?
“Yeah. I’ve always wanted to save people, so.” Izuku put a cap on the drink, arranging a sleeve on the cup. “This way I can make it possible.”
Shouto smiled softly. “That seems like an honorable goal.”
“Thanks,” Izuku said, smiling at Shouto. “Your drink is finished. Oh. Wait!” Izuku turned away from Shouto for a second. Shouto watched, but was unable to see anything due to Izuku’s body. He wondered what the barista was doing. Finally, Izuku turned back, offering the drink to Shouto. “There. Hope you enjoy!”
Shouto nodded, carefully taking the drink from Izuku. “Thank you.” He paused, about to turn to go. “Uh, maybe I’ll see you again, sometime?”
Izuku laughed. “Okay. Just text me. I’ll tell you when I work, or.” Izuku winked. “When I’m free to hang out.”
Shouto blushed a deep red. “Uh, yeah. Sure. I’ll do that.” He moved to leave, but then stopped. Shouto made his way back toward the counter. “But, I don’t have your number?
Izuku giggled, hiding his smile behind his hand. Shouto could see the outline of a dimple in his right cheek. “Check the side of your cup, Shouto.”
“Huh?” Shouto said. He checked the side. “I don’t see anything?”
Izuku rolled his eyes, huffing a laugh. “Beneath the sleeve.”
Shouto moved the sleeve. An elegant script was written on the side:
Maybe I can buy you a coffee sometime?
XXX-XXX-0910
Izuku <3
Shouto blushed again. “Oh.”
Izuku laughed. “I’ll probably still be here after your class, so if you need another caffeine kick, or a place to study.” Izuku spun his pen around, and offered a wink. “You know where to find me.”
“Okay,” Shouto mumbled. He sighed, looking at his phone. “I have to get to class, but thank you.”
“No problem,” Izuku said. He began to wipe the counters. “I’ll see you around?”
“Yeah,” Shouto said. “See you around.”
The bell dinged behind him as Shouto left the coffee shop. He turned to face the blustery wind, walking towards the direction of his class. A small smile met his lips.
Well. That was fun.
He took a sip of his drink, blowing a bit to cool the top. The warm liquid moved through his lips, flowing down his throat and warming his insides.
Holy shit.
Shouto looked at the cup. What had that man done to his drink? The bitter espresso mixed with the almond milk… it was perfection. He could taste the bold flavor of the beans, along with the creamy, light milk. The contrast was amazing, fulfilling and overwhelming his taste buds. Damn. This was the best coffee he had ever had.
Shouto shook his head, smiling. Well. Even if he hadn’t been so infatuated with the cashier, he would have to come back for the stellar coffee.
Facing against the windy, biting breeze, Shouto couldn’t help but feel optimistic. Pressing deadlines, late-night studying sessions, final projects… they all left his brain.
All that remained was a warm drink in his hand, and a beautiful barista, captivating him with a smile.
Hmm. This could be… interesting.

Summary: Shouto tries to train on a Saturday morning, but Izuku’s existence puts a wrench in his plans. ________________________________________________________________
The cold, winter air nipped at Shouto’s nose, so he tried to sink deeper into his scarf to gain warmth from the soft wool. Though he could regulate his body temperature, it was harder to control his extremities at all times; he could still feel a chill on the tips of his toes to the tips of his fingers. He grasped the cuff of his gloves, pulling them down to try and protect his fingers from the morning air. When that didn’t work, he crossed his arms, shoving his hands in his armpits and turning his head downwards, fighting back the wind.
Winter was in full swing, with frost shining on the fields of grass, glistening peacefully in the dawn light. Shouto took to the pathways trailing around the training fields, criss-crossing down the concrete, hoping he could reach the gym by quickening his pace. His blue gym bag hung off his body, swinging with his movements. The trees greeted him, waving their elegant branches in the sway of the biting wind.
The air cut through his lungs, and Shouto bristled with energy. A sharp intake of the harsh air always energized him more than any cup of coffee.
Shouto hoped the rest of his classmates were still sleeping in on this Saturday, as he wanted to practice in peace. He was used to waking up early for training sessions (thanks to his bastard of a father), so he kept up the habit, even after moving into the dorms. His friends generally did not have this same tendency instilled in them. Yaoyorozu even said she reserved Saturdays for visiting her family, a warm tea time spent together to welcome in the weekend.
Shouto huffed. There would be no relaxing for him, today.
As he pulled open the doors to the gym, Shouto was surprised to see the lights already on. The scuffs of feet moving on the mats echoed in the otherwise empty room. Shouto scanned the room, finding the source of the sounds fairly quickly. A quick, green blur shot around the mats, kicking and punching a weighted bag with ease, the bag swinging back and forth from the force. Green lighting sparked around the form, crackling with immense power.
Shouto’s mouth twitched upwards. Of course. Who else would be awake this early on a weekend, other than his energetic boyfriend?
“Morning, Izuku,” Shouto said to the boy. Izuku jumped in shock, stopping his flurry of movements in an instant. Unfortunately, as he did so, he slipped on the slick sweat beneath his feet, falling to the floor and landing in a heap of tangled limbs.
Shouto chuckled, shaking his head. Typical Izuku. He crossed the room to his clumsy boyfriend, standing over him and raising an eyebrow at the sweaty mess on the floor.
“You alright there?” Shouto asked. Izuku had an arm crossed over his face, attempting to block off the blush growing on his cheeks.
“I’m fine,” Izuku mumbled. “You just surprised me.”
“I can see that.” Shouto smirked. “What are you doing up so early?”
Izuku moved his arm, blinking up at Shouto. “I usually get up this early.”
Shouto furrowed his eyebrows, adjusting the bag on his shoulder. “Really? I don’t remember seeing you here until later in the day. At least, not on weekends.”
“Oh.” Izuku smiled brightly. “I normally go for a long run on Saturdays, but I’m switching up my routine. All Might devised a new training program for me, to help in my muscle growth.”
“Uh, huh. I see.” Shouto eyed his boyfriend, examining him intensely.
Well. The muscle training was certainly helping. Currently, Izuku’s t-shirt was stretched to the extreme, the thin fabric struggling to contain the wide breadth of his chest. Any more muscle mass and he would tear the shirt clean off his body.
Not that Shouto would complain.
Shouto shook his head. It was too early for those kinds of thoughts. He reached down, offering his hand to Izuku. “Here.”
“Thanks!” Izuku said. He took Shouto’s hand and bounded up from the ground. Shouto really should have been more prepared for Izuku’s weight, but he stumbled a little anyway. Damn, Izuku was dense.
“Sorry.” Izuku chuckled, steadying Shouto with his hands. “I’m a lot heavier than people give me credit for.”
Shouto looked Izuku up and down. Sweat shone brightly on his tanned, scarred arms, trickling down in a haphazard pattern. Izuku’s curls were in disarray, half damp with sweat and the others swept away by his fighting movements. His tight shirt stuck to his abdomen and chest, and his leggings left nothing to the imagination. Shouto’s mouth dried up. “Yeah.”
Izuku laughed again. “Anyways, do you want to train together, since you’re already here? I could go for some extra sparring.”
“Sure. Yeah. Sounds great.” Shouto said, wiping his brain of any impure thoughts. “I’ll just, yeah, I’ll just go change. Yeah. Cool.”
Shouto sprinted away to the changing rooms, ignoring Izuku’s curious look at his abrupt departure and change in demeanor. Hopefully, Izuku would chalk it up to Shouto being half-awake this early in the morning.
However, for some reason, he had never felt more alive.
***
After Shouto had changed and returned to the workout room, he witnessed Izuku’s body bent over his legs, releasing the tension in his muscles and making sure they remained limber for their spar session. Unfortunately, this also gave Shouto a nice—uh—different look at Izuku’s backside, so he quickly cut his eyes away from the sight and internally cursed the creator of leggings.
To regain concentration, Shouto started stretching his own limbs, releasing the stiffness in his muscles and relaxing into their warmth. He normally began his routine with a run, but his brisk walk over to the gym would have to suffice for today. Better to get this sparring over with than risk being distracted by close proximity to his boyfriend.
“Ready?” Izuku asked, having finished his stretches. Shouto nodded, and the two made their way to a nearby sparring ring set up on the mats. It was simple, only lines drawn on the mats to determine whether a person was in bounds or not.
The two stood opposite each other, looking at each other from across the ring. Shouto’s mouth quirked. “This seems familiar.”
Izuku huffed in amusement. “Yeah. Hopefully I don’t end up breaking any more bones. I kind of like being able to use my arms.”
Shouto’s expression softened at his words. The memories of all the injuries he had caused danced around his head. “I’m sorry for causing you harm. You were just trying to save me and I ended up–”
Izuku waved him off. “Don’t stress about it. I did it to myself. And anyways,” He paused, taking a breath. “I wanted to save you.”
Shouto smiled, but said nothing. Izuku returned the grin. Then, he asked, “Are you ready to start?”
“Sure thing, broccoli-kun.”
Izuku rolled his eyes. “Alright, ‘Icy-Hot’, let’s see how strong you are without using your quirk.”
“Don’t act surprised when I beat you.”
“First, you’ll have to catch me!”
With that, Izuku sped around the ring, bobbing and weaving in and out of Shouto’s reach. Shouto played defense, waiting for an opportunity to strike. Izuku was smaller, yes, but he had more muscle mass, and he was light on his feet. He knew how to strike quickly and avoid any answering blows. Though Shouto had more combat training overall, since he had been training since he was young, he knew he still had to figure out how to combat Izuku’s speed and mass.
“Stop messing around and actually attack me,” Shouto said, irritated.
“Shh, let me do my thing, lover boy.” Izuku winked. Shouto’s mind blanked for a moment, and with his guard lowered, Izuku shot in, aiming a kick to the right of his abdomen.
Shouto wheezed, clutching his side. Izuku’s wide grin faltered, and he stopped his fighting to move towards Shouto.
“Are you okay?”
Shouto waved him off, trying to catch his breath. “I’m fine.”
Izuku’s brow furrowed. “I thought you were going to block it so I kicked harder than I should’ve. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” Shouto said, finally gaining control of his breathing. “Just… don’t flirt with me when we’re fighting? It’s distracting.”
“Oh?” Izuku raised one eyebrow. “Is that why you’ve been acting so weird this morning?”
Shouto cringed, covering his heating face with his hands. “I’m sorry. It’s, well those leggings, they’re…”
“Tight?”
Shouto gulped. “Yeah.”
Izuku smirked. “That’s kind of the point? So they don’t get in the way when I’m training?”
“Uh, yeah.” Shouto nodded, dumbly. “But, the shirt, too.”
“My shirt?”
“It looks like your muscles will break free at any moment,” Shouto whispered.
Izuku blinked, staring back at Shouto. Then, he burst out laughing, clutching his side as he heaved with laughter. Shouto watched him, trying to remain irritated but failing miserably. How could he, when Izuku looked so beautiful, like that? With his eyes glinting, his hair shining with sweat, and his mouth stretched in an awe-inspiring smile? It was unfair, really.
“Are you done?” Shouto asked, after Izuku had stopped wheezing, wiping the tears from his eye.
Izuku’s eyes lit up, a certain mischievous glint in his pupils. Nerves trickled into Shouto’s veins. “Mhm. Maybe. Hey, can I show you something?” He motioned Shouto forward.
Skeptical, but intrigued, Shouto walked over to Izuku. He looked him right in the eye. “What do you want to show me?”
Izuku smiled, devilishly. “This.” Quick as an arrow, Izuku shot his right foot forward, hooking it behind Shouto’s leg and pulling. Shouto fell backwards, unable to keep his balance. Izuku followed him, repositioning himself so that when they landed, his legs straddled Shouto’s waist, and Shouto’s arms were pinned above his head.
The air was pushed out of Shouto’s lungs, but he filled them with oxygen quickly. “What was that for?”
Izuku smiled down at Shouto. “We never said we stopped sparring.”
Shouto’s eyebrows narrowed. “I thought I said to stop flirting when we spar.”
Izuku laughed, letting go of Shouto’s arms as the full-throated vibrations emanated through Izuku’s whole body, warming Shouto to his very core. “But it’s so much fun! And you’re so easy to tease.”
Shouto tried to frown, but seeing Izuku so happy made his attempt at a frown more of a wobbly smirk. It didn’t matter if he had been defeated so soundly when his boyfriend looked as if the sun would have to squint at his illuminating inner light. Shouto watched with amusement as Izuku’s eyes crinkled effortlessly, his freckles sprinkled across his nose and cheeks, and his lips shining in a grin of pure elation.
Shouto sighed, but it came out as more of a chuckle. “Well, I guess you won. I’ll have to try to not get distracted by you in the future.” Shouto sat up, with Izuku still astride his lap. He tucked a strand of hair behind Izuku’s ear. “Though, I can’t make any promises. You always draw my attention.”
Izuku stuck out his tongue. “Such a sap.” He leaned forward and kissed Shouto, light and quick. Then, he winked. “But, I like you, anyways.”
Shouto rolled his eyes. “Well, I’m glad you do.”
Izuku’s eyes sparkled, and he chewed his lip. He sighed, and then hopped up, offering his hands to Shouto to help him up.
“Do you want to keep sparring?” Shouto asked.
“Nah. Let’s go get some breakfast. You’d end up losing again, anyway,” Izuku said, bumping him with his hip.
They walked towards the locker room. Shouto grabbed Izuku’s hand, frowning. “How can you be so sure?”
“Well,” Izuku said. “My shirt is soaked through at this point, so I was going to take it off in the next round.” He turned toward Shouto, winking. “I’d rather not be set on fire because my body is so distracting.”
Shouto blushed furiously. “I’m never telling you anything ever again.”
Izuku laughed, full and loud. He poked Shouto in the side. “Too late. You’re stuck with me.”
They went to get cleaned up, teasing each other the whole way. Their laughs echoed throughout the room, filling their hearts with light and happiness.
Outside, the cold blistered on. But, they shared enough fire to keep warm.
